This program gave me so many tools to continue my recovery and maintain my sobriety. Anthony was my counselor and I truly loved him - the time, his patience, calm aura and knowing he truly cared about me. Beth and Sam were also very amazing and always well prepared. I went somewhere before them and highly regret the waste of time and money. I believe it all happens for a reason so I am very thankful to God for him guiding me to Valley hope. All of the team here truly care - there wasn’t a day Diana at the front didn’t have a smile and cheerful spirit about her. The gentleman who handled my insurance was absolutely amazing and even the gentleman that does maintenance there was so kind hearted . I'm a chronic relapser and have been to Valley Hope several times. My relapses had nothing to do with Valley Hope and the care they provided. It just wasn't my time yet. I love Atchison Valley Hope. The staff are A+. They genuinely care about the patients while there and after their discharge. I get calls from my counselors and case workers periodically just to see how I'm doing. It's more than collecting an insurance check with them. I finally took their advice and went to php and iop, in addition to an addiction counselor. I'm 65 years old and sober for the first time in a very long time. There's no treatment center that's going to keep you sober or drug free. It takes work, but at AVH they will provide a serious reboot for your future. Alec T.

I have been going to BHG Overland Park treatment for about twenty years, and I think I have seen it all, but when Tony left that was the worst thing that happened. Why you didn't try to find out what was the problem, that Tony would leave. Makes no sense to me, he was the best adviser we've ever had, no one tried to stop him from leaving. You lost the best adviser you could have had. I'm sorry to see Tony leave.

From ages 11-16 (Got out just days before my 17th, turned 18 last year, turning 19 this year) I was in and out of this place more times than I'd like to admit but I digress. This place, despite all of the bad mouthing from others, is actually quite safe for your kiddo. Yeah, the food isn't top notch or is bland but cook staff has to be careful. If you aren't allowed to eat something, whether it be religion based, dietary/medical, or literally just sensory issues, they WILL work with you on it. Just mention it to them, it's tucked into your patient file. Staff can appear cold, rude, or just pissed off, but they only get that way if you are pushing their buttons like breaking the no touching rule. Or sharing personal info like your home address, media handles etc. You, the patient, have zero clue how another may feel/react with being touched. You also, have no clue why they're in-patient, out-patient behaviors etc. They could be a stalker with bad intentions. Don't be "that guy." All the stuff are chill, let them do their job. They're literally certified/trained for it. Charles, goofy guy, usually is on 1A. He worked another gal, Hayley, not sure if she's there still, but she was top-notch. Hayley didn't look at any of the regulars with pity or annoyance, just as kids who haven't/aren't happy with a lot of stuff. She took the time to understand us, our triggers, and check-in. Hayley crosses my mind here and there. If, by any chance she is still at Marillac, just know that she played a part in my want to get help and stray away from the dark corners in my brain. I'm one year, eight months, twelve days clean on self-injury. She helped me get to where I am. Told me I would graduate high school. I did that very thing a semester early. Off to college I go in August.

Naomi was truly AMAZING. From the very beginning, she knew exactly how to connect with my daughter and made her feel safe and understood. That sense of safety made all the difference—it significantly reduced my child’s anxiety and allowed her to begin to regulate during what was a stressful and very overwhelming experience. It is very clear that Naomi is highly skilled in trauma-informed care, and her ability to apply that in such a genuine and compassionate way did not go unnoticed. As a parent, moments like that matter more than I can fully express. Please pass along my heartfelt thanks to Naomi. I am deeply grateful for the care she provided to our child.

Mccallum place Kansas city was amazing. Although we all had rough days the staff new how to help and calm patients down. I transferred from residential where I didnt have a good experience and we werent sure how PHP would go for me, but they gave me more insight and opportunity on recovery. They truly cared for patients and continued showing us the road to recovery. Im forever greatful for getting to go to Mccallum KC for my recovery process, im forever indebted to the people there.

McCallum offered excellent care to a family member of mine. The staff created a safe, comfortable environment for my loved one to heal. They offer equine, movement groups, yoga, art groups, and meal challenges in addition to weekly therapy and dietician meetings. This program saved my loved one’s life. If you or your family is considering treatment, I encourage you to take the next step and go! My family was so nervous, but we can not recommend this program enough.

I just wanted to let anyone who is interested in doing their outpatient groups here, that this is the best outpatient facility that I have ever experienced in my life!! The staff there is incredible they bend over backwards to help people get their life on track and to keep it on track. Keith's groups are amazing and everyone that attends there is like family to me. I know one thing for sure that my counselor Maggie has dedicated her life to helping others while maintaining her own sobriety for many many years. If it wasn't for Maggie I would not be where I'm at today I would still be using and I would be in a bad place in my life. She has helped me tremendously by making the right decisions for me to guide me in my path to recovery. She taught me to learn to love myself and respect myself and that I am worthy to live a sober life. People may say she is a hard counselor to deal with, but in all reality she holds you accountable and any mistakes you make while she is your counselor is your own fault. I've learned that most people that get mad at her are the people that continue to mess up their lives when all Maggie is trying to do is help them fix their lives. Everybody needs accountability in their life into learn to live with their own mistakes Maggie is there to help never to make anybody's life worse and for that I am truly grateful for her. Doolittle is one of the best places I've ever been and I will truly miss it. Thank you to Jennifer, Keith, Ron, Norm, Gabe, and Celeste!! Linda is awesome. I had seen her for several years back in the 2010s and have been seeing her recently again. She is even more helpful now. I highly recommend anyone struggling give Linda a chance. Prices are beyond fair, atmosphere is comfortable and relaxing, and just love her therapy dog, whom was pleased to see that it is still the same little guy. I've been contacted by one of the owners after a rough experience and felt like I was actually heard when I voiced my concerns. Mediators are fantastic, though the gentleman who did my substance assessment didn't seem to actually hear my answers and made a few alarming assumptions- this concern has been addressed and will be dealt with accordingly. I already recieve a lot of the services suggested through AAHH with another agency; however, I can say that the program I currently am attending is somewhat beneficial and I'm taking away a lot from it. It can be triggering, but thankfully, the mediators DO listen and empathize greatly without feeling like they are judging or critical. Yes, it can be a frustrating experience, but they do their best to rectify anything that can be corrected. Though you should always do your research before selecting who do complete programs, at least AAHH try to find a middle ground. Also, read through any and all fine print when sent to you, so you can catch any mistakes (as was the case of the assessment) because they will take the time to fix it.

This place has literally saved my life and career. I've had trouble finding a place that would be willing to help me do to my work because I travel a lot. This place didnt hesitate to offer me help and I've been clean and functioning ever since. I appreciate all they do and I encourage anyone needing help to go see them immediately. I was 100% happy with going here. I was on suboxone for YEARS! Obviously I was very skeptical and nervous about trying the sublocade treatment. But from the first phone call to the lady at the desk was very calming. I wish I remembered her name but she was just the sweetest lady and always so kind and compassionate. Then we have the doctors. Top notch team. Very generous and forthcoming with any information or questions I had. They were very flexible with times and days. I have told EVERYONE I know who may be struggling with this issue to please call them and visit this office. I started my treatment in December of 2022 and was done at the end of May. 6 months of treatment and I never one time had ANY withdrawal symptoms. That’s everyone’s biggest fear. It has 100% changed my life. It’s horrible waking up and knowing you won’t make it through the day if you don’t dose. Or issues with insurance. But I encourage anyone to really check into this office if they are serious about getting clean. Thank you guys for helping me get my life back. Much appreciated.

Having been to and having worked at multiple treatment centers, I have to say that Sana Lake is the best one I have been to. The staff cares and work their butts off. They were short-staffed when I came, but they were still able to pull it off and gave me a great experience. Great food, too! The owner even comes in multiple times a week and runs a group on Thursdays. He shares his personal life story. You do not get that very often. The nursing staff is very caring as well. I could not sleep for several nights, so the nurse practitioner tweaked my medication several times until we found the right combination. If you’re contemplating going or returning to treatment, you are going to find a better place, in my opinion. I feel that I am ready and finally capable of staying sober long term. Thank you to ALL the staff at Sana Lake.

Every staff member I've met has been helpful, lovely, and smiling. Yes, the campus has some bumps and dings, even kids from the most stable backgrounds are careless. It makes sense, but people are working as hard as possible behind the scenes to fix those bumps and dings. The fact that there's a full size gym, a swimming pool that the kids have the opportunity to get into everyday in the summer and as many accoutrements of a family house as possible really makes what looks to me like the best out of a tough situation for some kids.

I was in their IOP. The staff and our group therapist were amazing. The group therapist was so kind and encouraging and was really good at including the entire group in conversation. I am forever grateful to them for everything I have learned. Also Heartland is a wonderful team to work with on the medical side. I did TMS for depression with them and I have to say this is the first time in a long time I don’t feel that constant heaviness and hopelessness anymore. Thank you MRC for all you have done for me. This place has truly changed my life, and it just dawned on me 5 months after completing the program. Sorry in advance for the long post. I started the MRC program around February 2026 for severe anxiety and depression. I was in a dark place, with no support from family or friends, and honestly I didn't think anything was going to help me at that point. The first day I arrived the staff were very welcoming but my anxiety was through the roof. I pretty much stayed in my room and only came out for meds and food too scared to really talk to anyone. As the weeks went by, I started getting comfortable then realized my peers were literally going through the same thing I was same with the staff, some of whom had gone through the same program themselves It gave me motivation if they could do it I could do it too. One of the things I struggled with was my schedule. It got so bad it started bleeding into everything like one day I'd sleep at 9pm, the next at 1pm, then I wouldn't sleep at all for three days straight. When I got there I kept missing classes because I was oversleeping or straight up refusing to wake up, so I got a warning that my phone would be taken away. That scared me straight that's when I finally got my shit together lol. Now 5 months later I had lost my job, totaled my car and pretty much everything I owned. A year ago that would've completely broken me. But I was okay. And that was the part that surprised me the most all this time I'd been chasing something that never had any real value to me in the first place. The job was good money sure but it brought me zero happiness. Working 90 hours a week was actively making my depression worse and I didn't even see it happening until I was already in here fighting to get my mind back. So when the termination letter came yesterday there was sadness but there was relief too. That job had become my whole identity a false one built on something that was quietly destroying me. Now today at 8am instead of frantically getting ready for a job that only made me miserable I'm sitting outside bird watching and reading a magazine like I'm 70 years old lol. And that's the lesson that took me almost losing everything to learn chasing something that has no real value to you personally will wear you down piece by piece until there's nothing left. I'm just grateful I got to learn that here instead of losing myself completely over it. Thank you MRC ❤️

I went with my partner to his annual checkup with NP Johng, at the Shawnee VA Clinic, and he made the whole process painless and so informative. Everyone on the staff was so courteous and respectful, kind and knowledgeable; it was amazing. NP Johng was extremely thorough, encouraging, personable, patient, kind and knowledeable and answered all our many questions with great respect; not treating my partner as if he was just a number. We learned so much about how to improve his health and how to make changes for the better; emphasizing the valuable use of properly dosed medication in conjunction with lifestyle changes for maximum health benefits.
