It's all in the name "Recovery home". . Rosecrance recovery home is one of the smartest decisions I've ever made. Woodstock is one of the cleanest buildings I've ever been in. If staying sober is your goal, this place is second to none. There may be a lot of rules but nothing out of control. The rules are quite simple by comparison to having a lifestyle that was out of control. Everybody here is very helpful as far as the staff goes. Not to mention the intelligence of some of the staff is amazing. Life skills are very important. Rosecrance recovery home put you on a healthy path for everyday living. I really show you the way to being happy sober. Basically they show you how to do it yourself so you make yourself happy while being sober. It's really an amazing face to be

I am leaving this review on my brother’s behalf since he has issues typing. My brother stated that he was extremely pleased with the whole team at Northwestern mental health hospital located in Woodstock. He was also pleased with Dr. Bateman as he was very helpful and set up a great follow up plan. He also stated that all the nurses were very friendly and look like they love what they do. Since my brother has sleeping issues, the only thing that he was not pleased with is that they would wake him up between 5 AM and 7 AM to take his vitals. He was pleased with having his own room. The other thing he did not like was the noise from opening and closing doors at all hours of the night and early in the morning. We were shocked to see one star reviews, specially those that did not leave any information as to why they gave one star.

This weekend, there was a mental health crisis with a family member and the beds were full at Northwestern inpatient, so we had to go to another behavioral hospital. This family member had been at Northwestern inpatient and outpatient two other times before this and had a good experience. The inpatient hospital he is at now unfortunately has been a terrible experience compared to our experience at Northwestern. Instead of just leaving a bad review on their page, I figured I’d leave a good review here as well. The experiences we’ve had at Northwestern have been full of compassionate and caring professionals. They kept us updated on our loved one (with consent of course) and seemed to really invest themselves into finding the right care for him. I thought this was how they all were, and after this experience at the other hospital, boy was I wrong. If you need a place that you can trust your loved one going through a mental health crisis will be treated with compassion, this is the place. Thank you for all of your help in the past, and if we end up in this situation again, you will be the first place we go to in the future.

This hospital and its emergency does not deserve even 1 star. Ambulance from McHenry took me there with my granddaughter, she was in a depressive crisis. All patient rights were violated there. Under the threat of taking the child away, I was forced to sign documents instead of her mother, the child was sent as soon as possible to Hartgrove Hospital, far from home, this hospital was not notified, the hospital was surprised to bring a new patient and in this situation called the child's mother. When I asked for Lurie Children's Emergency Hospital, where the child has a psychiatrist and a private ambulance, which I was willing to pay for to take the child to Lurie, they did not allow me! The nurse lied that Lurie Hospital does not accept 12-year-olds, the doctor behaved aggressively and refused any support. I wanted to stay longer in the hospital waiting for the possibility of admission to Streamwood, close to home they did not allow me either. The distraught child screamed that she wanted to go to Lurie, and the nurse announced that we should be happy with the hospital in Hartgrove, we deserve nothing better. They didn't wait for the mother, also a nurse, to arrive and sign the documents, say goodbye to her daughter. I wasn't allowed to go with the child to Hartgrove. We weren't given any emergency discharge papers. The staff from this hospital should get a disciplinary warning so as not to hurt others. It was a horror.

As a provider, I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with SunCloud Health on multiple occasions, and I am consistently impressed with their professionalism, communication, and dedication to patient care. Their team goes above and beyond to ensure that each individual receives truly comprehensive support, with treatment plans that address not just symptoms, but the whole person. What stands out most is their collaborative approach. They value input from outside providers and maintain open lines of communication, which makes continuity of care seamless. I have full confidence in referring people to SunCloud Health, knowing they will receive excellent, personalized care.

My psychiatrist recommended Suncloud because I was going through a really tough time in my life. I was hesitant because I was at another treatment facility and didn't have a great experience. I was pleasantly surprised when I came to Suncloud because the staff were all so kind and genuinely cared about helping you. Their process groups can be tough but are so helpful in working through your trauma. It's been a year now since I started treatment and I can confidently say that I learned the skills and created an amazing support group that have helped me be in such a better place. Even after you're out of treatment, they have an awesome alumni group with plenty of opportunities to connect with others that have gone through similar things. I highly recommend Suncloud.

Literally the worst hospital ever. Do NOT go here and do NOT send your loved ones here. I got discharged here from the ER a few months ago for depression. I have a heart condition and utilize compression garments for blood flow, the ER Staff allowed me to be discharged with it to this hospital, because it was for a medical need. During my intake they immediately locked my belongings away, usually they let you get numbers out of your phone so you can call people during phone time. I was told i could get my belongings went i went upstairs to the floor and get numbers then. When i went upstairs for evaluation, there were MEN AND WOMEN on the same floor. They tried to have me undressing in a room with a window that faces the men’s side and i had to ASK the nurse to cover the window. They then asked me about my compression garments and i told them it was for my heart and heather, the manager of the upstairs staff, and nurse allowed me to keep them. When i asked for my phone for numbers, they refused to give me my things. Not only do they have men and women on the same floor but the men can easily walkover to the women’s side, and did so many times during my stay here. They also have people who hear and see things on the same floor with people who do not, so there was men AND women walking up and down the halls yelling and slamming things all day. Which obviously increased my anxiety more being here. I also witnessed multiple time the nurses and other helping staff picking fights with patients out of sheer boredom so it added on to the chaos already going on. Fast Forward a night or two, reminder i have a heart condition, they gave me some medication that i felt were worsening my symptoms, i kept asking to be sent out for an evaluation because i didn’t feel well and they told me i was having anxiety and threatened me multiple time to give me a shot to put me to sleep if i didn’t “shut up and stop acting crazy”. It got to the point where i was spitting up blood and i started begging the upstairs manager, heather, to send me to be evaluated. Heather told me she agreed that it looked like i was declining, yet she allowed nurses to threaten me and refuse me treatment that whole day. I continued to spit up blood then collapsed at the nurses station, they moved with no urgency and doctors and nurses walked by me as i laid there on the floor. When i got discharged to the ER the worker they had go with me was telling me that i was being crazy and giving everyone a hard time. After being discharged and going back to rivers edge, there was a different nurse than my first night but there were the same helpers. The charge nurse said she’d take my MEDICAL compression socks from me and i explained to her that i had had them the past couple days of my stay and i was allowed to have them due to my heart condition. When i went to sleep, she came in my room and took them, and i didn't notice until the next day when i was looking for them. You cannot sleep in compression wear so thats why i took them off. That morning i told my psychiatrist about everything and i told her my experience so far was adding to my PTSD and anxiety, and that i had voluntarily came for help, but it was doing nothing but making me feel worse mentally and physically. She refused to send me home telling she hadn’t got the chance to go over my treatment plan with me yet and since i was “under her care” she wouldn’t be discharging me until she got the chance to do so. I told her that this comment made me uncomfortable because if im telling her the environment is triggering me and making me worse, then that should be respected rather than forcing care on mr, especially since: i didn't come for SI and i had my own therapist outside of the hospital. I ended up remembering my therapists direct number and called her and told her everything that was going on and she had to call up there and help get me out, but it took another 4 or 5 days. I reported everything upon discharge from RR and nothing happebed.

My main take away from treatment at Banyan is that a lot of the staff can relate and helped with sharing their recovery. My Case Manager Maggie helped with my aftercare plan and transition into sober living. I have grown in every area of my life thanks to Banyan.

I see a lot of negative reviews on here and my experience might have been different due to my age (late 30s). I wanted to be at TK. I didn't have someone make the decision for me, although my husband was very supportive. Out of all the staff, there were only 2 I didn't like. Not that they were bad, just a clash with our personalities. I have epilepsy, it's chronic and active. I had to go home to have surgery (a replacement battery for the device that helps control my seizures). I was gone for about 36 hours. The staff was great with my seizures and with my surgery. I thought I was going to need to go back when my husband passed away, but I made it through. A lot of that I can credit TK with for giving me the tools to work with. The only problem I really had was leaving. Leaving was terrifying because that safety net just vanished. That is one thing I think the staff needs to prepare you a bit better for. I've been healthy since leaving. Sure, I still get the feelings/urges on occasion but I created my own safety net. I can control the urges. I'm actually rather proud of myself. PS - If any of the former staff ever reads this "Meany Mo-Mo" you know who you are. Thank you, for all you did. Your patience, your help, and just being there when I needed it. You literally are the best. <3
