I just graduated my 28 days at prairie ridge in mason city. The staff, Dr's and even the chef's in the kitchen were all wonderful and very dedicated people. I went there for substance recovery and learned so much about myself. All the guys I was in recovery with were good guys to be in treatment with. It was the first time in a very long time that 23 guys in recovery really felt like a brotherhood. The food was amazing and classes we were all in were very helpful.

“Four Medical” nurses, techs, medical staff and daily cleaners are absolutely amazing. Keeping up a positive reputation requires you keep your employees happy with a sustainable wage. These individuals are given a great responsibility to assist patients and their families. If your wages don’t keep up with their major responsibilities, there is the possibility of losing superior employees. By the way, I have no connection with any of your employees. My spouse has been here for over a week and the excellent care she has received has me bragging up Allen Hospital. For those of you reading my evaluation, please select this hospital for your care. Also, if you agree with me, please support my efforts to give these employees a livable wage. ALLEN HOSPITAL…KEEP THESE WORKERS. Not knowing what employees are making at Allen, we had heard hospital staff in Omaha, NE are leaving for higher paying positions. Hoping this doesn’t happen at Allen Hospital. By the way, the medical doctors and their assistants are EXCELLENT. Doctor Chirinois has explained everything we have asked questions about. He takes the time, after explaining what’s going on, asks us if we have any questions. He is the ‘main’ doctor who wants the other doctors to get problems solved, if possible. GI, kidney and cardiology really worked together with Doctor Chirinois.

It has been a little over a month that we stayed with my kiddo for an infection for almost a week. I thank the wonderful doctor at the ER that night that took care of my son and made sure to thoroughly test him. My kiddo was admitted into the pediatric unit where most of the nurses were so attentive and caring a special shoutout to Nurse Linda, Nurse Taylor, Nurse Regan, Nurse Amanda and Nurse Molly. It was so sweet how they cared and performed their job with such diligence. Thank you for being such angels!

They are good, yet I know the nurses can get stressed out, sorry you had deal with me. The nurses should get paid more; Doctor I'm on to you LOL joking. It was good and fun being mental health area. Beware the cook's man they cook good food don't piss them off. Doctor Abba if you are reading this thanks, I can be pain in the butt at least there is no pike up there, respect Vlad Impaler. Just for people going there you won't get much sleep just attend groups and take you meds at night you'll get sleep. Yeah, I know it's tough meeting other people you don't know. Just be nice you'll be fine. Muscle man out.

I'm oddly confused about all the negative reviews. One of the best experiences I've ever had and has changed my entire outlook on life. I think about this place almost everyday since I've left, and I sincerely miss all of the staff. Every single one of them had a positive impact on me that I won't ever forget. I'm even headed back to school to get my bachelor's degree in a similar field, with the credit to my time spent here. I only ever heard positive things while I was there and a lot of people coming in from the outside to volunteer their time for meetings .. the majority of them give a lot of credit to Horizons for helping them as well. My Fiance is going to be there today, and I was really worried about it. I am in treatment as well in another City. We are both doing this on our own will, but after reading these reviews I fell better. I truly believe that treatment is exactly what you put into it and how much you want to get out of it. So far the staff over the phone has been very helpful to him.
