All of the staff at Burgess Health Center were outstanding with their patient care. They took great care of me from the moment I walked in the door. They addressed my concerns and gave a very thorough examination. They treated me with the kind of care that one would feel from a high end spa. Reception was quick to help me bring in my loved ones bags and totes full of his belongings. She was so kind and thanked me for bringing in his things! She was on a phone call and double tasked helping me and continuing the call on her headset. I was impressed, felt that warm welcome to a place that I’m not even staying in. My fiancée is very happy with his treatment and care he is getting while at Rosecrance. He is enjoying the chef prepared food in a nice clean cafeteria with vending machines, more food that he could eat in a buffet style line. A brand new gym that he loves to lift weights and run on a treadmill. And he gets to call me every night. He enjoyed his own pillows and comforter from home as well as his own hygiene products and all his clothes. It’s great the allow the residents to be as comfortable as possible during their stay and recovery.

This treatment center changed my whole life around. At first I didn’t want the help and didn’t think I needed it. Later on I started to realize that the staff they have there deeply care for their patients and other staff as well. They were always ready and there to help. I’m an actual patient that has been coming here for almost a decade, and honestly, I don’t know where I’d be without this place. My psychiatrist, therapist, nurses, community support, and support staff have helped me through so much since moving to Sioux City. I always feel heard and supported, and I never feel rushed or judged. Getting my meds refilled is always quick and easy, and whenever I’ve needed referrals for other help, it’s been super smooth. Everyone I’ve seen here over the years has been kind, caring, and truly wants to help. I’m really grateful for all they’ve done for me. If you’re struggling or thinking about getting help, I can’t recommend this place enough. Mental health is important, and this is a great place to take that first step.

I was at uta Halee in 2021, I got the march 21st and left may 2nd. My experience there was amazing I was in the shelter waiting for a bed at nova treatment community, Mrs Robinson was always there for me when I needed to talk to someone. Mrs collins was always fun to be around, Mrs Philips had a great sense of humor, Mr Harris was absolutely amazing he greeted me with kindness he always made sure I had a smile on my face, when I first got there I slept for 3 days straight and he would peak his head in my room making sure I was okay! Of course I was really shy at first but I made it through my stay. Mrs Jackson and me never got close and Mrs Hawthorne and me always had great conversations she even got to see my comedy personality. Every Wednesday was my favorite day because I got to enjoy the culinary class they had! Sometimes on the weekends they would allow us to use the tv to watch our favorite networks no matter what the movie was it just had to be appropriate. Right was my probation officer dropped me off a fight happened upstairs a girl punched another girl 82 times in just two minutes because they were left with one other staff member, I always had fun there. When you shaved you were supervised to save people from self harm! I did watch a few people runaway and watched someone beat up a deputy. But that told everyone that they needed to be somewhere more intense to straighten themselves up! Overall my stay there was amazing!!!

I missed an appointment when I was in the hospital. Probably missed a few over the years. Guess I'm not allowed to be a patient there anymore. It is what it is. That's on me. No hard feelings. So why did I take a star off? After Albert left I was set up with this Dr. Chau guy and as others in the reviews have stated, he tried to change my medication after the first appointment and is personally... what I would describe as an unpleasant individual to be around. It's only my mental health, might as well switch it up, even though I was doing well and only really needed refills... Yeah, so after sucking every ounce of positivity from the room with charisma uncomfortably absent and awkward eye contact he told me he doesn't prescribe my anxiety medication. He's one of those doctors that doesn't prescribe benzos or something. I can only conclude it's his personal bias about a group of medication (that actually work) being more important than the mental and overall well-being of others... Despite the last couple months I was going here being a negative experience, this place was pretty great overall. Still have untreated anxiety and can't really function. Oh well, guess this is just my life now. Oh, yeah... The pharmacy and front desk are amazing. Seriously. They're super friendly and always remembered my name and they would call to reminded me to refill. Pretty cool that the pharmacy is in the same building now. I wouldn't mind being a patient here again if they had a Doctor like Albert. If you're hesitant. I'd say go for it. Just don't miss any appointments.

Not to diminish from the other people's reviews but this place legitimately saved my life. I got sent to ABH in 2006 2 days before my 15th Bday. I was angry, did any sort of mind alerting chemicals I could find, my family was scared of me but more importantly I was scared of myself. I agree the punishments were rough but that's exactly what I needed to open my eyes. Ms Aron helped with childhood trama that I had held on to for so incredibly long. in my eyes my life started the day I walked through those doors. If I want to think every single member of staff, even the skinny blond lady I despised so much. Thank you all for having a hand in saving my life.

Making the call to St. Greg’s was one of the hardest things I have ever done. But I spoke to an intake woman there that made me feel so comfortable and supported that right there on the phone with her, I made the choice to see it through and get home. St. Gregory’s is a fantastic place. The intake process can seem overwhelming but if you’re lucky enough to get Kassidy, she’s amazing. She is the reason I finally made the decision to help myself. He talked to me prior to my procedure to go over what he was going to use and what he might need to do if necessary. My husband went through the independence center over 30 years ago. He did relapse after the first 3 months but he did not attend any aftercare or AA. Within a year he started going to AA and has been sober for almost 35 years. My son has also been through the independence center twice with varied success. He has had relapses but maintained sobriety for the majority of the time. He has used the tools he learned there to get sober again after relapsing without having to reenter treatment. The program will work for you if your honest with yourself and do the work. Good luck and god bless!

When you are ready, you are ready. I did three rehabs in the span of three summers and I’ve been sober a year and a half since going to the Independence Center. The ENTIRE staff wass genuinely interested in my recovery. Of course it’s up to me how honest I want to be with my counselor, Chaplin and myself (and God), but their unwavering encouragement doesn’t hurt and it didn’t. The facility is much better than others I’ve been to in Nebraska and they keep the distracting extracurricular horseplay to minimum. They have a great culture and alumni in the A.A. and Lincoln communities.

I was recently hospitalized for a relatively minor medical condition. The company I work for has an arduous process for returning to work after being laid off for medical reasons. I desperately needed to be seen on short notice so that I could return to work. The staff at the Lincoln V.A. worked with me diligently. My primary care physician, Sasha Grantski, went above and beyond her normal duties to "squeeze" me in for an appointment. Thanks to her and the Lincoln V.A. staff, I am back to work.
