SHOUT OUT ONCE AGAIN FOR THE LEAVENWORTH VA.I have been experiencing severe lower left back pain since Wednesday. When it hits, a sunami! Can't move fast, sit easy, walk , without severe pain. Pain meds, TENS Unit, heating pad. Helps some.Decided to go the the VA Emergency Room for the first time ever. In and out in 60 minutes.From reception to pharmacy, they were outstanding. Definite 10 on a 1 low to 10 high scale!My ER Nurse was Debbie. Very personable and experienced. The Doctor was Dr. Glen Georger. Diagnosed quickly and prescribed a shot of my favorite- MORPHINE BABY! And a steroid shot. Current Inpatient resident who would like to say I came with much trepidation and anxiety. All of which I was able to shed easily on account of the staff and friendly fellow residents. Not in any small part because of Kerry (think I spelled that right) in detox, because she is @$$@ ing hilarious, and made me feel a lot better. I mean, guys, it s rehab.. ;) But this is a very good rehab. Admins listen.EDIT: It took guys.. It really took this time. I shed the $&!t colored goggles. And the world is vivid.. bright.. and while i honestly believed I'd be dead by now... In reality I'm happier than I think I ever have been. I couldn't see it back then.

I had a terrible experience with my first child but the changes this place has made are incredible couldn t have asked for a better experience bringing my 2nd baby into this world!! Everyone was very comforting and was very attentive to my babies, my husbands and my needs!! This is an Amazing place, with a heart for saving our loved ones from the addiction that is destroying not just them but their families as well. I have been to numerous treatment facilities, including The Welcome House, ACT, Mirrors, Therapeutic Community, Intensive outpatient treatment (at numerous locations) and Midwest Recovery Centers has been the only one that I've actually enjoyed and feel like I left a different person. It may be a bit expensive but the experience was worth every penny. I can't say enough good things about the staff, groups, cleanliness, food and the overall magic power that resides within their walls. Thank you all so much!
