I went here in 2003/2004 and I see there are some negative comments but as a child that came from a very abusive home. I found peace here and so much love that I have never had before the staff there during my time I will never forget.. Mrs. Carol believed me and helped me get away from a bad home. She set me on a path and now im married with three children I honestly dont think I would make it without them. I will never forget Charles, Mrs. Judy and the lady that used to come on Thursdays and Sundays I found god for the first time there and the ranch in the bag was the best I loved feeding the horses there.

I do not regret coming here. The amount of respect the staff give you. Yes it was difficult. But in the end it was worth it.

I loved my experience at the bridge. The therapists were truly amazing and passionate about their jobs and clients. The office and CR staff were extremely helpful with accommodations or just having someone to talk to. Place was clean, food was delicious and beds were comfortable. Beautiful and peaceful landscape location.
This is a place where you do 5-6 years of therapy in 6 weeks (if you decide to stay the full amount of phases). It is intense, kind of a drag and depressing. Definitely not for the weak. The bridge experience was the hardest thing I’ve done in my life, but it was a place to tell my story and to be vulnerable. Lots of inner child work. Lots of different exercises to help you cope and to help you express your trauma.
Trust the process. It works. Definitely not magically healed but I do feel more grounded, confidant in self and in my decision making, have more control of my life and a deeper connection to my higher power.

I am so blessed to have completed four weeks at The Bridge to Recovery. It was truly one of the most magical experiences of my life. The therapists here are absolutely outstanding. I learned so much about my trauma and how to connect and nurture my inner child again.
My phase mates were some of the most loving and supportive people I’ve ever met. We grew so close that it felt like family. I will forever be grateful for each of them.
The healing energy at the Bridge is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. I am incredibly grateful for this place, the staff, the therapists, and all the phase mates who attended. You have made my life brighter, and my heart whole again. ❤️🙏

The Bridge to Recovery shows you how to live your life after trauma. I had been to so many treatments where I re-lived the trauma and processed it. That is crucial, but I did not know how to live my life. The Bridge to Recovery showed me many strategies and techniques that I still use when trauma happens. Trauma in our lives won’t stop. At first I was like, no way is this for me. But Grayson totally got where I was coming from. The groups were super age-specific and chill. I learned how to set boundaries and say no without feeling weird. They helped me prep to go back to school too. Food was decent and the space felt safe. I was nervous at first but realized how many wonderful clients there was. everyone was so kind even though our circumstances were what they were. We all became close as we were being cared for and introduced to recovery and safety from drugs and alcohol and the outside conditions we were experiencing. The staff was so attentive and helpful and were always on time with our treatment and medical needs. Each specialist and therapist and nurse became a comfort and a friend of mine . I recommend this facility as the best short term residential treatment program.

My family and I had a wonderful experience considering the reasons we were there. The staff stayed in communication with me regarding any changes with my child and his care. My son is a hard nut to Crack so I was overjoyed when my son formed relations with staff. They really care about the clients and it shows. So I would like to thank the staff for taking the time to make my son feel cared for and heard and I pray that he is allowed to return to treatment as long as he is ready to work the program.

This place will always hold a special place in my heart for giving me a second chance at life when I didn't think I was worth one. If you aren't ready to take a program seriously, it will not be an easy time. They're going to show you life how it really is and situations you're going to have to learn to deal with sober. There's no sugarcoating to it. Be ready to put in the work. It's not an easy road by any means but, if you work on it, you'll get everything you need out of the program to cope better with life and make the best choices for yourself.

Nothing but professionalism. I've never had a problem that they couldn't explain or point me in the right direction. The VA client in Bowling Green deserves our upmost support. You have to remember they are totally dependent on the powers that be in Washington. That has to be a tough row to hoe these days. As far as to the negative reviews about the wait time. Good luck driving to Nashville. Have patients. In my opinion the staff especially the nurses and the receptionist are doing their level best

I believe that this place offers a great service to the Louisville Community. They have been opening their doors to people with substance abuse problems, the homeless, and armed forces veterans for decades now. The healing place is a wonderful center for recovery serving men of every walk of life during and after recovery and / or displacement. They offer a myriad of program to assist those in need as well as access to many other program outside of their own that they are partnered with. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner served daily, lunch being open to the public, while the others are for residential clientele. Nightly shelter available upon request, as well as long term residential services to those who qualify. The facility also offers a program for specifically for military veterans on the second floor that works in conjunction with the VA to help veterans in need gain access to the benefits they require. I personally appreciate the VA program at the healing place immensely, and have been fortunate enough to have received their assistance in the past. One day at a time…

Hospital is amazing! They took great care of me and brought me back to being healthy. They made my wishes come true! I recommend this hospital to those who are struggling in life!
Update: there were volunteers that were hired that were abusive towards me, I would get aggressive back. I think that there should be measures to protect future patients as well as when I stay there next time. I just want to bring this up so that future visits can be as good as the previous ones.

Employees at the front are very friendly. Doctors are the best. All tests are on the portal to see. I can't believe anyone is having trouble at this clinic. And most of it is free or at reduced cost on meds. You have to have an IQ higher than room temperature to use the portal.

This place is pretty awesome as far as rehabilitation facilities go.
MAT Program handled through free grants. Somewhat supervised by staff.
The administration is what you'd expect from the field. They're human; most of them genuinely interested in seeing clients better themselves in every way. You get what you put in, and a few of them are willing to build lasting relationships that can become the foundation of a new, positive social network should you plan on staying after treatment.
They give you more than enough rope to hang yourself with, that's for sure. If you're looking for babysitters, this isn't the place. This is a program designed to quickly and efficiently get you back on your feet. You keep your cell phone and everything.
I'd recommend it to anyone except individuals literally rendered unable to care for themselves by addiction. Don't know where I'd be without them.

Coming from a background of a life mired by addiction and trauma I have had more experience with counselors than I care to admit on here haha but very few have went the extra mile that Mandy, one of GWRL’s therapists has. I truly have nothing but good things to say about all the staff all around, but for her you can see that this is more than a job.
