I spoke with a very nice lady that explained there services clearly. I've come to the conclusion that that 2 bad reviews were somewhat out of line. I gave them 5 stars. ✌️ WCH. 10 months ago I've been going to mental health places all my life. Most I've had bad experiences at. I recently moved here and gave them a call on a bad day asking for services. I was greeted with kind and calming voices and some awesome ladies who understood the help I needed. I myself have been a patient of Cumberland Mental Health for quite some time.. years.. I started off going to the Hendersonville location yrs bk when I lived out that way,, which I also have nothing but great things to say about that location as well. I've also been to the Gallatin location. Their staff is amazing!! Always SO fiendly, informative, helpful, & there to greet you with a smile as you walk in... There's nothing worse then going into a Dr.s office (where post people would rather go/be anywhere else but the doctors.. lol) & not being greeted at all, or being given the stare down face that gives the look of the ole "Who are you? Why are you here? What do you want..?!" kinda face... lol!🙃 Ugh that's the worst! No worries for that when you walk into any of the Cumberland Mental Health offices! I can assure you of that!😉 Front desk staff are always so sweet, helpful, & get you checked in in a timely organized fashion.. No chaos, confusion , or waiting to be seen for hours past your appointment time.. I can say in all honesty I've never had to wait longer then 10 to 15mins at the most to be called back. That's a huge deal for us mommy's, working moms (& dads), or all humans in general.. We all have things to do, & places to be.. So sitting in a doctor's office waiting room is never ideal for anyone. At the same time, things do happen & I always understand when a Dr. or therapist is running behind one day or overflowed with patients/appts.. I get it. They're doing their jobs & they're doing it to the best of their ability to help all of us. So for me personally. So to wrap this up... I personally love Cumberland Mental Health & all their staff. Not just my provider... the secatorial ladies, the nurse, the therapist/case workers who never fail to always take a few minutes to tlk with me, ask me if I'm doing well, or if I need anything! I was homeless, hopeless, broken and not a penny to my name. Samaritan sponsored me without question and gave me the tools to have a fighting chance. I had some relapses along the way, but everything the leaders at Samaritan taught me,the 12 steps, to not give up, to get up and try agin still resonates in me today. I have 3 1/2 years sober now. If you want to change, really want change and are willing to do anything to make that happen, Samaritan is a great place to begin your new journey. The food is amazing as well. Mrs. Angelia and cooking staff are top notch. The spread daily is over the top and delicious. The opposite of what I ate on the streets, if I ate at all. Some times if you have to cancel an appointment it takes a while to get another but if it is something like a diabetic ulcer, they will double book to get you in sooner. My father died in this facility in the Alzheimer award and 1999. They were so caring with him the last six months of his life. I lived In Smyrna at the time so I would come and see him about four or five days a week. My sister and my mother would come from Clarksville every other Saturday because of my mother‘s health she couldn’t do it very much, but it helped them that I was close by. We were so pleased with the care he got. Thank all the doctors, nurses and staff at the VA 99% of them are great. My lower back pain, only because of his help, has been reduced by 80-90%. He doesn’t advocate for opiate use and/or dependancy! I’ve been going for 3 years and NEVER have I been offered or counseled to begin opiate prescriptions. I admire, respect, and enjoy treatment at this clinic. Dr. Q is to be commended and the staff he works with are RESPECTFUL, CARING, and TAKE THE TIME TO LISTEN TO THE PATIENTS! I am thoroughly pleased and will stay as long as Dr. Q is there! After 12 years of long-term recovery, I relapsed and found myself in the darkest place I’ve ever been…including a suicide attempt. I came in broken, lost, and unsure if I even wanted to keep going. I cried EVERYDAY!! What I found here was something I never experienced growing up, real love, real care, and people who genuinely see you. From the kitchen staff to the therapists, every single person on site showed up with compassion, patience, and intention. They didn’t just treat the addiction, they helped me uncover and begin to heal the deep trauma I had never addressed. It felt like I did 4 years of therapy in 4 weeks. No exaggeration. It was intense, it was uncomfortable, but it was absolutely worth every second. Thank you to Shera, Saben, all of the therapists, and everyone who pours into this place daily.
