This He’s taking care of his mental health after getting dealt a really bad hand in life. Life hasn’t been kind to him lately, and it shows in the weight he carries every day. Coming back to Brentwood Springs feels like returning to a place that actually gets it. The staff here is compassionate and professional. They create a safe, structured environment where my human can focus on healing. The inpatient and outpatient options give real flexibility, and the therapy groups, medication management, and recreational activities seem to help him start processing things he’s been holding onto for too long. He is involved in the Hope4Hero’s program which helps with Active, Veterans and first responders. This program has been so helpful for him. It’s not easy watching someone you love struggle, but seeing him get the support he needs here brings me some peace. The facility is clean and calm, which makes a big difference when emotions are running high. I appreciate how they treat the whole person—not just the symptoms—and include family/ support system education too. It reminds me that he’s not alone in this, even on the toughest days. If you or someone you care about is facing serious mental health challenges or co-occurring issues, Brentwood Springs is a place worth considering. The staff we have is great. I love our manager, Keisha and Julie and they do a great job of welcoming new people and making everyone who have been there still feel important as well. Day in and day out everyone has a great attitude and willingness to help. With such a high turnover rate If it were up to me I would make sure everyone got a raise and was based off of what they feel like they should deserve to be getting because whatever that number would be they have gone way over and above to make BHG feel like home even down to the decorations. It doesn’t makes sense to me in a day where no one has work ethic or desire to work and high turnover rates that you get good work who wants to be there and not compensate them for that. Everyone we have at this facility needs to be compensated for their time and effort and on making a choice to stay and put in the work and not constantly disown us and leave which as an addict consistency is something we need and when there’s turnover we feel it too. If we are truly cared about and this is a company that is truly trying to help in recovery we need to make sure we’re all getting the help we need and that also obviously includes the great team who makes it all possible and we don’t want to lose them! We all became close as we were being cared for and introduced to recovery and safety from drugs and alcohol and the outside conditions we were experiencing. The staff was so attentive and helpful and were always on time with our treatment and medical needs. Each specialist and therapist and nurse became a comfort and a friend of mine . I laughed, cried, learned, connected, and began to understand how past experiences and unresolved trauma had shaped the way I moved through the world. For the first time, I was able to look at parts of my story with honesty, compassion, and curiosity instead of judgment. The work wasn't easy, but it was worth it. I left with a deeper understanding of myself, healthier ways of relating to others, and a sense of hope that had been missing for a long time. Most importantly, I left knowing that healing is possible. What stands out to me most is how cared for I felt throughout the process. The people I met, both staff and fellow participants, created an environment where I felt safe enough to do the work and brave enough to keep going. My life is not magically perfect today, but I returned home with greater self-awareness, stronger tools, and a foundation for continued growth. After 12 years of long-term recovery, I relapsed and found myself in the darkest place I’ve ever been…including a suicide attempt. I came in broken, lost, and unsure if I even wanted to keep going. I cried EVERYDAY!! What I found here was something I never experienced growing up, real love, real care, and people who genuinely see you. From the kitchen staff to the therapists, every single person on site showed up with compassion, patience, and intention. They didn’t just treat the addiction, they helped me uncover and begin to heal the deep trauma I had never addressed. It felt like I did 4 years of therapy in 4 weeks. No exaggeration. It was intense, it was uncomfortable, but it was absolutely worth every second. Thank you to Shera, Saben, all of the therapists, and everyone who pours into this place daily. You gave me something I didn’t know I was missing and reminded me that my life is still worth fighting for. Forever grateful.
