I've been. Not willingly, but I'm very thankful I was there. I'm not a drug user but I was depressed and a loved one called when I had a breakdown and thought I felt suicidal. Im writing this review for the families like mine that read all of these. I was petrified going in, this was my first experience with anything like Highpoint or a treatment facility and I had no choice, I was section 12 (which I had no clue even meamt). I learned so much from the staff and even fellow patients. I attended meetings where people spoke so honestly and let me do the same. I met people from all walks of life and connected in a way with each. Don't hesitate to get your loved ones help, it's not easy being honest with your family all the time, but I feel so much more like my old self than ever. I plan on applying to work there, payback what I was given & hopefully help others feel safe and have hope like I do. You know when reading these who has unfortunately not gotten well & don't be discouraged, if I can do it you can too. Good luck

I was angry leaving my initial one star review because I felt lied to and deceived. I was told I’d be lucky to make it back to this place… meaning that I’d be dead and not be able to make it back. I was told I would be dead cause of how “horrible and defiant” I was. I did not like AA was not for me so I was going to die. Many people that worked here told me. My case worker gossiped about me to a whole group of my peers saying “one of you is going down a dark road” really? These are the people to trust? These are the people “getting me better.” Also they said the bill would not need to be paid and I kept getting harassed by AP office I believe in Florida? So I was furious. So my initial review was one star and I left out words because I wrote a nasty review and had to erase them. I wanted to come back and edit my one star review to a five star. Cause here I am, over 5 years later, still going strong as ever in my recovery, and I have a place that is mine, I have a good steady job, and I’m free of the chains of addiction. Whether I like it or not, my experience here is what lead me to where I am today. There was some amazing staff that was overworked and under paid so if by some grace of god they are still there, god bless. I wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt and say they were trying reverse psychology on me, the staff talking crap about me to other peers, the staff saying I’d be dead. But they were not that smart, they genuinely were telling me I was hopeless. I won’t name you but I know that you know who you are. Now I sit here over 5 years later thinking that maybe if you did not spend so much time talking down and being hateful and judgmental to me, maybe all my brothers in program with me that are dead now, would still be alive if you paid them that energy. But it is what it is right? I don’t equate my success to NEATC, hell no. I put my success on my shoulders. I easily could have taken yall saying I’d be dead soon and actually gone and died. But I didn’t. I spit in all your faces and I proved all of you wrong. I did it for me. I did it for my brothers who died due to the lack of care they received wether insurance was poor or you just focused more on me being defiant than their complacent obedience to your AA. What works for some does not work for all. It’s your hate that drove the fight in me to succeed. I see my brothers in the program with me that never will get to share their smiles with the world, I can share the smile they taught me. I can share their message and I will not let them down. That’s why I have 5 stars. This place did exactly what it needed to. Just like life, drove me insane, judged me, hate on me, gave me a place to live full of rats and mice, financial issues to battle, had to face death, had to hear pain like no other, and was not the smoothest ride. But through the pain and darkness of life there is always light, you can be that light. You can change. Amidst all the bad, there was a handful of AMAZING staff and people that gave me a real life experience I will never ever ever forget. Just like life this place is not perfect, we need to take the challenges and push on. I loved this place. And always will. This place did heal me. Not how I wanted but how I needed. Just like real life. I noticed my growth as I wanted to change my one star review. Even after all the trouble, I pushed through and fought and still see the light. I am still a light that will not be dimmed. And this place is a HUGE part of the reason I am who I am today. An amazing light in a dark dark world. This place put a challenge in front of me, life is not easy, you need to put in the work, and when life punches, you need to punch back harder. Thank you NEATC and the amazing staff I can’t imagine would still be working here but if you are I love you. Forever I love you, and miss you, and wish you the best. I would love to come speak one day at an event, I don’t live close by anymore but I’d love to make something so please contact. Anyone wondering if they should come here, yes. Yes you should.

Rockland Recovery has been an incredibly positive part of my recovery. That is why I chose to come back after leaving last time. The staff genuinely care about the people here, and that shows in everything from the clinical work to the groups and everyday interactions. The clinicians and group facilitators are knowledgeable, compassionate, and willing to meet people where they are. Ritchie Evans, Eddie Payne, Henry, and Mattie are all great. The person I have connected with most is Ritchie. He is a solid dude with a great deal of lived experience, and he always offers something thoughtful and insightful. We share common bonds through addiction and combat service, so he understands parts of my experience that can be difficult to explain to someone who has not lived them. One thing Ritchie said will forever change how I see recovery. He encouraged me not to think of people with addiction as simply being burdened with addiction, but as people who may have been chosen to serve a mission from God by using what we have survived to help others. That gave purpose to experiences I had previously viewed only as pain. Rockland is fortunate to have Ritchie and the rest of this staff. This is a place filled with people who understand recovery, believe in the people they serve, and offer real hope.

Bedrock was truly a great experience to gain early recovery tools. Detox nursing were awesome. They always explained what medication was what and how it could/would affect me. Residential was as a great experience for me. Most techs actually have been through the program/recovery so they actually understand and care about you. The nursing up here was great as well. The nurse Linda loves all her clients like her own. The alumni coordinators are truly inspiring. Math was super helpful in my personal recovery! He runs great groups and won’t coddle you but offer tough love support and recommendations. Knowing he’s been through this for a lot of his life really made his stories speak out. I want to shout out Luna, Kourtney, Alisha, Christine, Crystal, Casey, Marcia, Josh, Jerry, and Ms. Dee for all the love and support as well as Cheryl, Lawrence, and Mirable my care team. Bedrock saved my life. The program works if you work it. And don’t be afraid to ask questions!!

Once again, we had to return to the emergency room because my husband is still sick. But from the bottom of my heart, I want to thank the nurses, doctors, and staff who are always professional, kind, compassionate, and willing to answer every question we have with care and respect. Staff, Nurses and case-workers and Amazing and Caring. I felt welcomed and not judged since my recovery journey began. Weekly/monthly groups have helped me in so many ways, so many helpful tools to keep me from relapsing, I can call and talk to anyone and they will help me with anything. I am writing as a mom whose son was struggling with addiction. I had spent many days, years in court getting a section 35. After many, many stints in detoxes, rehabs and facilities we found Evoke, now Harborview through a friend. From the initial phone call that was made to admissions office, to intake, to the program and the check ins after completion has been nothing but life saving. This program not only saved my sanity, it also saved my son. We all know they say one day at a time & we are doing it. This place changed my life. the staff are incredibly helpful and welcoming from the RS's to the nurse's and case managers. The rooms are very comfortable, the food is great, there is always snacks and drinks out for the clients, the groups are great and they change it up so its not the same thing every week. The staff bend over backwards to help you with whatever needs you have and the protocol keeps you comfortable so you are not crawling out of your skin the whole time. I would recommend this facility to anyone that is thinking about going into treatment.

The last clinic treated me like I wasn’t worth it and couldn’t care less if I walked out and died.Not here! The front desk, the nurses, especially the director who I think is a real a superwoman and is extremely fair to all of us! Her door is always opened if you need her. The office is so clean and well decorated for all the holidays. If not for them idk where I would be. They all have a special place in my heart. They saved my life and I am forever grateful! I do suggest having a your own therapist separate from the clinic. I’ve been other places and they do not care for you as an individual. AT SPECTRUM THEY REALLY DO CARE no matter the stage in recovery you are in. I’ve always been treated with respect!. This is my safe place❤️ and I appreciate the hard work it takes on their behalf on keeping this a safe place for everyone who walks through their doors. Just wanted to take a min or 2 outta my Sunday afternoon to let ppl know wat a life saving program hptc Plymouth is,in Aug 21,I had just entered prgm for 7 th time in last 2.5 months,every time I left AMA,they wud allow me back wen I called looking for a bed,never judging me and allowing me my process,I was sick as a dawg and totally defeated, there was a beautiful pregnant nurse there that touched my heart,even tho I was physically unable to go stand up in med line,cuz I physically cud not get out of my bed,time after time she wud come to my room to dose me,it was my 4 th day there and w/d’s were peaking,I hadn’t ate in 4 days and that nurse and the staff ,thru their compassion gave me a slight glimmer of hope, after a positive covid test I was quarantined to a room for 10 days and at that point I knew if I left again I wuda been screwed so I stayed til the miracle happened,not only did I make it thru w/ds ,I got thru the covid virus and made it the 10 days,not long after clinician got me placed into halfway house in east bos and I haven’t looked back since that day,for sum reason I will always remember that pregant nurse caring enuff with her compassion and understanding and at that point I set forth a path of recovery and once again becoming a productive member of society,and most importantly a father to my loving son ty hptc and all of there workers who assist in making miracle everyday

Through the PHP program and therapy, I was able to overcome issues I wouldn't have able to do alone. The staff are pleasant and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this place. Cristina is a superlative therapist who is as intuitive as she is attentive. She offers valuable perspectives to those who may be lacking in some regards due to their own specific, personal struggles. For patients in their 20s, she offers relatability in spades, which was comforting for a patient who presented as worn down, isolationist husk of a human being. I was fortunate to finish the PHP program and to be quickly referred to her as my first therapist.
