I was angry leaving my initial one star review because I felt lied to and deceived. I was told I’d be lucky to make it back to this place… meaning that I’d be dead and not be able to make it back. I was told I would be dead cause of how “horrible and defiant” I was. I did not like AA was not for me so I was going to die. Many people that worked here told me. My case worker gossiped about me to a whole group of my peers saying “one of you is going down a dark road” really? These are the people to trust? These are the people “getting me better.” Also they said the bill would not need to be paid and I kept getting harassed by AP office I believe in Florida? So I was furious.
So my initial review was one star and I left out words because I wrote a nasty review and had to erase them.
I wanted to come back and edit my one star review to a five star. Cause here I am, over 5 years later, still going strong as ever in my recovery, and I have a place that is mine, I have a good steady job, and I’m free of the chains of addiction. Whether I like it or not, my experience here is what lead me to where I am today. There was some amazing staff that was overworked and under paid so if by some grace of god they are still there, god bless. I wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt and say they were trying reverse psychology on me, the staff talking crap about me to other peers, the staff saying I’d be dead. But they were not that smart, they genuinely were telling me I was hopeless. I won’t name you but I know that you know who you are.
Now I sit here over 5 years later thinking that maybe if you did not spend so much time talking down and being hateful and judgmental to me, maybe all my brothers in program with me that are dead now, would still be alive if you paid them that energy. But it is what it is right? I don’t equate my success to NEATC, hell no. I put my success on my shoulders. I easily could have taken yall saying I’d be dead soon and actually gone and died. But I didn’t. I spit in all your faces and I proved all of you wrong. I did it for me. I did it for my brothers who died due to the lack of care they received wether insurance was poor or you just focused more on me being defiant than their complacent obedience to your AA. What works for some does not work for all. It’s your hate that drove the fight in me to succeed. I see my brothers in the program with me that never will get to share their smiles with the world, I can share the smile they taught me. I can share their message and I will not let them down.
That’s why I have 5 stars. This place did exactly what it needed to. Just like life, drove me insane, judged me, hate on me, gave me a place to live full of rats and mice, financial issues to battle, had to face death, had to hear pain like no other, and was not the smoothest ride. But through the pain and darkness of life there is always light, you can be that light. You can change. Amidst all the bad, there was a handful of AMAZING staff and people that gave me a real life experience I will never ever ever forget. Just like life this place is not perfect, we need to take the challenges and push on. I loved this place. And always will. This place did heal me. Not how I wanted but how I needed. Just like real life. I noticed my growth as I wanted to change my one star review. Even after all the trouble, I pushed through and fought and still see the light. I am still a light that will not be dimmed. And this place is a HUGE part of the reason I am who I am today. An amazing light in a dark dark world. This place put a challenge in front of me, life is not easy, you need to put in the work, and when life punches, you need to punch back harder.
Thank you NEATC and the amazing staff I can’t imagine would still be working here but if you are I love you. Forever I love you, and miss you, and wish you the best. I would love to come speak one day at an event, I don’t live close by anymore but I’d love to make something so please contact. Anyone wondering if they should come here, yes. Yes you should.

Rockland has been an immeasurable help for me. I've had experience in other places in the past but nothing like the Rockland community. I highly recommend Rockland Recovery for anyone looking to learn about recovery and the Alcoholics Anonymous Big Book. It goes in depth teaching the steps involved to beat addiction and the staff really does care about you. You are actually a human being and not a number. All of the staff is exceptional and are extremely passionate about their excellent program here!
Shawn is an awesome teacher here at Rockland Recovery! His approach to teaching about addiction and recovery is always well received by the community as they can relate to his experiences. His easy going and laid back attitude makes it very easy for the community to speak the truth about their own struggles with addiction and feel okay about it. I love this clinic.
There's a man named Joey that works there and he is just the light of the building. He is so nice and has an amazing heart and he's genuine not doing it bc it's his job. Joey please never leave because the light in that building will dim very dark. You're the light of the place Joey. I was thoroughly impressed with the care and compassion of the staff in the detox program. The nurses were very supportive and helpful were always available to answer questions and make sure I was comfortable as could be during a low point in my life. The facility was amazing and extremely clean. If I had one negative thought it would be the food it could definitely use an overhaul but other then that was an awesome experience for a tough time in my life and will be forever grateful!!!!

East Coast Recovery is amazing! It’s amazing because the people that work there are incredible and they care very much about seeing clients succeed. I initially planned on being at East Coast on a week to week basis, not knowing how it was going to be before I got there. Been on liquid handcuffs for 3+ years finally starting to decrease my dose, this place saved my life they’re awesome and don’t treat you like an addict. My only complaint is they should make it easier for take homes. I don’t understand why they don’t give everyone 1 weeks worth and if the patient messes up then take them off. I feel like if I git take homes right away I could have winged myself off. Because yes Dr’s know a lot and a lot more than me but I know for a fact I know my body better than any doctor. Had a six day visit on the 4th floor. The groups were productive and helpful. The mental health support team was very thuro. I wasn't a fan of the food or lack of cleanliness in group bathrooms. The nursing assistants were hit or miss based on engagement and cell phone usage. The facility should put a policy in place removing cell phones from the floor. If our disabled veterans can't use their own phones, why should we / they constantly see the floors "care team" on theirs.

Spectrum in weymouth MA is amazing. The clinical team there is second to none l. My quality of life has improved greatly after getting connected with this clinic. I couldn't imagine my life if I didn't have Alex, Derek, Gabby, and Kristin in my corner. The way that I have been built up to the person I want to be today not only makes me happy but also makes my family and the people around me happy. My first experience at this hospital. I went in for the company mandated flu shot. I don’t do well with needles. I looked at the wrong time and these two lovely nurses caught me before passing out. They spent over a half hour with me. Constantly reassessing vitals, got some sugar in me. Elevated my legs to help with blood flow. They kept me laughing with a good sense of humor. It was great action and reactions.

Just wanted to take a min or 2 outta my Sunday afternoon to let ppl know wat a life saving program hptc Plymouth is,in Aug 21,I had just entered prgm for 7 th time in last 2.5 months,every time I left AMA,they wud allow me back wen I called looking for a bed,never judging me and allowing me my process,I was sick as a dawg and totally defeated, there was a beautiful pregnant nurse there that touched my heart,even tho I was physically unable to go stand up in med line,cuz I physically cud not get out of my bed,time after time she wud come to my room to dose me,it was my 4 th day there and w/d’s were peaking,I hadn’t ate in 4 days and that nurse and the staff ,thru their compassion gave me a slight glimmer of hope, after a positive covid test I was quarantined to a room for 10 days and at that point I knew if I left again I wuda been screwed so I stayed til the miracle happened,not only did I make it thru w/ds ,I got thru the covid virus and made it the 10 days,not long after clinician got me placed into halfway house in east bos and I haven’t looked back since that day,for sum reason I will always remember that pregant nurse caring enuff with her compassion and understanding and at that point I set forth a path of recovery and once again becoming a productive member of society,and most importantly a father to my loving son ty hptc and all of there workers who assist in making miracle everyday

So I recently went through treatment here for the 2nd time. I left a review but I’m not the brightest and deleted the first one trying to write another one. Just have to say to anyone thinking about getting sober this is where it’s at. Staff the facility and other people is 💯. I don’t plan to ever need to but I’ll never go anywhere else for treatment than here.

I ve only been to detox twice. Once at RCA in Danvers and I definitely wouldn t recommend going there. High point in Plymouth is INCREDIBLE. All the staff are friendly and extremely helpful. Kind. Clean and friendly place to be. If I ever need to go back to treatment I would absolutely go back there.

I’ve been here for 15 plus years and my counselor Paul goes above and beyond for his patients. Most of the staff has been here for years and they’re great. If you follow the rules and keep your head down, mind your buisness you’ll have no issues with this place… some people have complaints but those are usually the people who do whatever they want and tend to forget how lucky we are to have this place. The photos aren’t from this clinic. I don’t know what clinic those are from. It’s a clean place though and constantly updated.

As a single mom, I was raised to believe that rehab also meant I'd be separated from my son. A couple of weeks ago, my father was transported from UMass Marlboro Hospital for observation and medication management. I am extremely grateful for Alissa, Dr Findley, Naomi, Barbara, and Troy, along with many others who simply listened to my thoughts and safely detoxed my father off of the UMass Marlboro ER mistakes in their documents that inaccurately recorded wrong medication s and dosages. Alissa works with family and case management, Dr Findley is a key psychiatrist , Naomi is a forefront at admissions with a welcoming voice, and Barbara and Troy are part of healthcare nursing team. In short, it takes a village to run a behavioral health facility; this village is a n A+ team. Thank for all you do in a challenging population that requires a high skillset team!
