YOU ARE NOT ALONE!! GET THE HELP ITS WORTH IT!!!❤️❤️❤️ I truly can’t say enough about how much the New Oakland Clarkston location changed my life. I came in during a crisis, and I left feeling stable, hopeful, and genuinely happy. From the moment you walk through the doors, you’re greeted with open arms—there’s no judgment, just compassion, warmth, and professionalism. I was part of the face-to-face program at 28 years old, and everything exceeded my expectations. The group therapy sessions were incredibly powerful and gave me tools I didn’t even realize I was missing. My group leader, Kailee, was with me for the majority of the program and is genuinely one of the most bubbly, kindhearted, and knowledgeable souls I’ve ever met. She created a space that was safe, supportive, and uplifting every single day. Niki, my therapist, is truly amazing—so insightful, attentive, and caring. Dominique, the nurse, is an absolute gem—compassionate, patient, and always there when you need her. And Matt, the psychologist, didn’t waste any time helping me find the right medication and support. He took my concerns seriously and acted quickly, which made a world of difference. The staff here truly care. It doesn’t feel like “treatment”—it feels like a community of people who love what they do and want to help you grow and heal. The food was great every day, the atmosphere was calming and structured, and they even gave us breaks for fresh air, which made a huge difference for my mental health. This place gave me a full toolbox to take with me, and for the first time in a long time, I feel ready. But here’s the truth: you get out what you put in. If you show up, participate, and commit to the process, you will see change. This team will support you every step of the way, but you have to meet them there. What sets New Oakland apart is that their care doesn’t stop when you walk out the door. They set you up with a real plan for continued support—and they actually follow through. I will forever be grateful for the experience I had here. This team helped me find myself again. Thank you, New Oakland Clarkston. You saved me.

I feel so comfortable the moment I step into their building! Each room feels like your just sitting in someone's living room. It immediately puts me at ease. The staff and all the therapists are very welcoming and I feel very supported there. I highly recommend Michael Govier, especially if you're nervous about therapy or have tried others and don't feel like they really listen. He has a great way of making you feel heard and understood and speaks straight to you.

Just checking in on you guys. Thank You for all your help and the tools to stay clean. I left about four years ago and was at 120 . After about 45 days of going thru withdrawals I finally gave in to Suboxone. My next step is the shot. Hi Bill and glad to see you're still here. TY for always being cool and I'll never forget you. I think I was 518 and can only imagine what number you're on today!! Addicts do recover when they choose to!!!! Ty QBH for the tools to stay clean by making me go to group and therapy 🙌. Which made me start going to NA meetings. I believe in early recovery you gotta do 90/90. 90 meetings in 90 days to start change 😉😎. Remember to give yourself a break and get into NA to start working the steps of NA. The books how and why were my best tools. You must have a sponsor to work the steps. You can't do the steps alone because how do you know if you're doing them right 👍 and you'll have a friend forever.

I appreciate all the loving staff at Brighton. This is the place you want to be, if you want to recover. It's clean, classes are phenomenal, nurses, doctors, therapists, milieu techs, med techs, environmental services, everyone is great. Aftercare here is also wonderful. Update: they are wonderful until you need them again. I called yesterday, they were suppose to call back. I haven't been there for 3yrs. I needed help. Today no response. Tried calling back, no response. I had been seeing a therapist after she quit there. She only had terrible things to say about the place that they weren't up to updated treatments. I just want to get better and I would hope they could help. I guess I'm wrong.

4/5 stars, but here's why. I was not an attendee, simply a support person for a friend who decided to cut his stay short, but here is what I can say from being a person limited on the outside. 1.) The amount of ability they give to allow for the family member to contact their loved ones is great! I was astounded by the high allowances of connection they give to those who are admitted. It's a huge plus, which is shocking but greatly appreciated. 2.) Every person there was kind but committed. I got the vibe that they were there to do a job, and do it well, but without being rude. I could tell there was compassion here for the people they take in. 3.) They have rules that are relatively strict, as is true of most rehab facilities. 4.) They were clean, and offered as many amenities as they could given that insurance covers those who stay there. It does feel hospital-ey, but it is owned by a hospital, so no real major un-expectations there. MY ONLY COMPLAINT: the heat and A/C in the building seems to be lacking. It seems the facility is well worn, and could use a re-up. It gets hot in there in the summertime, and I can imagine it would be difficult for me to sleep there. Apart from that, I have zero complaints. I feel this team of people did the best they could given the circumstances, and I appreciate their dedication to their jobs.

I had an excellent experience with Milford Counseling Center and highly recommend them, especially for anyone going through the driver’s license restoration process. Their substance use evaluation services were professional, thorough, and handled with genuine care and respect. Dave was outstanding to work with — knowledgeable, understanding, and easy to talk to throughout the entire process. He made what could have been a stressful experience feel comfortable and straightforward. Ally in the office was also the utmost outstanding. She was friendly, organized, responsive, and incredibly helpful with scheduling and answering questions. The entire staff treated me with professionalism and compassion from start to finish. If you need a substance use evaluation for license restoration in Michigan, this is definitely a place you can trust - not to mention their rate is substantially lower than other providers listed in the state’s directory. Look no further than here. THANK YOU, Milford Counseling, always and sincerely.

Their front office staff has always been extremely supportive and helpful when I need and the therapists here truly care about helping people. I came to Rose Hill in July 2005. I was put on the right medication but gained a few pounds. I went through the program being on three different crews. The work therapy program is top notch. In August of 2022 I decided to go off my medication completely. I lost weight but was very manic and went to the Hurley hospital psych ward then back to Rose Hill for a 'tune up'. The Rose Hill psychiatrist got me back on medication and I'm very successful today in the community. I currently have one job that I've held for almost ten years at Genesys Health Club. The program carries on after leaving campus. I'm in the Community Support Program (csp) with some appointments at Rose Hill Center. I highly recommend Rose Hill Center.

I got a lot of support for my mental health. Very professional and they care deeply for each resident. They helped me find my self confidence and self worth. Most importantly they work as a team. I got support not just with my mental health but they provided an autism specialist who greatly improved my quality of my life. I owe Rose Hill so much to my life also the offer DBT therapy which challenged me to improve myself and receive support to reach my goals. My DBT coach Laura gave me hope to a broggter future and helped me with dealing with extreme anxiety. I totally recommend Rose Hill for mental health and people who are on the autism spectrum. Would love to one day share my personal experience in hopes to reach out to people who would benefit services from Rose Hill.

Truly a wonderful opportunity to experience if you’re looking to change your life. Unlike the typical, more “hospital like” residential, Rose Hill encourages independence and helping you build skills to use in the real world. My time at Rose Hill, as a resident, has changed my life. I would say the biggest pros are: You get to keep your phone, they don’t stop you from vaping/smoking nicotine, you can have your car there under certain circumstances, you can go out on “day passes” into the community, there are many outings on a weekly basis, you get to go grocery shopping on a weekly basis as well, and you get your own, decently spacious room. Rose Hill has competent and caring social workers/case managers, therapists and floor staff. People you can tell that truly care. I’d suggest Rose Hill if you want to change your life.

Clran. Safe. Friendly staff. However....for appointments after 7pm, desk associates need to be more vigilant at watching for patients if doors are going to be locked. I was on time for my appointment and was locked out completely. I walked around the building, went to all 3 entrances and found them locked as well. I called the office 3x to get voicemail. I lived for 9 months and I really liked it very much. They had adult sized tricycles in 2015. I would ride them around on the property to and from the Scripps Mansion and to the circle drive near the men’s treatment center. I tried riding to and from the gym/ physical therapy building where the business offices and printing press for the magazine journal. It was too hard going up hill but a breeze coming back down to the bridge . Then I had to get off and push it up to the treatment center for women. I really enjoyed my time at this place. However all good times have to end and mine ended .

I see a bunch of bad reviews here and so I felt compelled to leave a good one. My own experience at Easterseals has only been since early June 2025, but I must express that they do have some wonderful staff here and they've been mostly pleasant and quite helpful in addressing my needs and concerns. My caseworker's been very positive and actually quite responsive when it comes to communication, which truly makes all the difference for me, personally. I feel she genuinely cares. My psychiatrist and therapist also have been great in similar ways. I can't say enough good things about these amazing women! Sure, front end staff seem off or a bit grumpy or just burned out sometimes, but, honestly I can't blame them - I wouldn't be able to deal with the job well myself! It'd annoy the hell out of me dealing with so many people all day. We all get tired of work at times, we're all only human ya know. (I only mentioned this because of the negatory comments I read regarding the initial staff). Lastly, their transportation guys are also awesome! I think what it all comes down to is your own personal attitude, tolerance, and the ability to have compassion and understanding from other perspectives in these type of places when it comes to staff interactions and services in general. I use the Genoa pharmacy there as well, and they've always been great. You get what you give in life or what you put into things folks. It's also good to remember we can't truly control anything outside of ourselves, only what's within us. But, I digress - to each their own. I hope this helps those considering using Easterseals or continuing to utilize their services. Peace and Love! I wish you all the best.

Life Challenge is a life saver for me. I’m so grateful to Pastor Jeff Bonzelar and my spiritual mom pastor Sheila as well as the teachers Bro Ken Keane, Bro Bob…and so many others. You have got to want change in your life for this to work. You’ve got to ask God to come into your heart ♥️ and do the work that needs to be done. I was walking around dead in sinking sand and God lifted me up and placed my feet on solid ground. I’ve completed 19 years and still standing for Jesus Christ. I encourage everyone to not let Satan get in your way. If you don’t like this one go find another Teen Challenge or Life Challenge. There are many more. But this was the best one for me. If you come God will plant a seed in you. Just let it grow and grow and grow. And DON’T GIVE UP. BECAUSE GOD DOES NOT GIVE UP ON YOU. AMEN! ♥️♥️♥️

I've been receiving treatment for several years, I can't praise the nursing staff and Omar a counselor high enough. The staff listens to our concerns and adjusts accordingly. We once had a horrible nurse, we complained and she is gone. I highly recommend treatment here.

First, I want to acknowledge how difficult it can be to admit that you might need psychiatric intervention. If you're reading this review, you might be considering intervention for yourself or a loved one. You might be crying, hurting, screaming into the void; it's terrifying to look at where one might go to be cared for at a time that feels overwhelming, isolating, and dark. You're giving up autonomy to strangers who claim they will help you in a time of need -- this is a major decision. No one wants to check into the ER for a troubled mind. No one wants to reduce their humanity in a highly controlled environment just to keep themselves safe. No one wants to lose access to their phone, their family and friends, the things that make them feel connected to the world at large. And really, no one wants to eat hospital food three times a day. But if you're reading this review it's because there may be no other option but to do these things as you white-knuckle your way through a personal hell on Earth. I myself hit a breaking point recently and did not know where to go; I had been white-knuckling my own inner hell on Earth for weeks and finally imploded, then exploded. After two previous outpatient stays at other facilities across Michigan, multiple psychiatrists and psychologists and therapists, I committed to checking myself into Trinity just to try. Just to see. Just to find the light, if there could be some. And I did find some: The staff here is incredibly kind, helpful, and they never appear inconvenienced. I was given access to multiple different medical specialists and doctors who could discuss the nuanced angles of my struggles. The social workers listened with care. The nurses were good-humored and patient. The recreational therapists were joyful, always smiling. And the food, it turns out, was not all that bad (just make sure you get double portions of everything). I read books and looked out the window, and spoke with others who understood how I was feeling. I was able to rest. I was able to cry. I was able to feel my inner world fully and without judgement. I was anxious to leave when I regained my strength, as anyone would feel, and I felt I needed to leave a review as there were only a few by the time I Googled this facility; as I'm sure you're aware, mental health service providers suffer reviews that can be hard to trust or are designed to scare you based on a unique experience. All I can say is that I put my trust in Trinity and I left with my dignity intact. That is more than what can be said about a lot of places. I leave this review in the hopes that if you or a loved one needs intensive care, please call and give this place a try. The light is here if you need it.

I am a skeptic when it comes to doctors and clinicians because of past experience with both myself and my children. But I can say with total confidence that Easterseals has done an amazing job helping my daughters and myself cope and adapt in a healthy way to live successfully in todays world. I can’t imagine being a teenager now a days, and as a parent, I would do anything to help my girls get through these tough years. Colleen has done a wonderful job helping us communicate even if it’s uncomfortable for both of us. She helped save my beautiful daughter from going into a very dark place. I see some do not share the same experiences we have with Easterseals, but I’ve been in and out with my girls over the years, and between the staff, docs, and therapists, they have all done an amazing job, considering what they too, have to deal with day in and day out. At times my girls had to change therapists in the middle of treatment, but they did an alright job matching them with someone similar. And if they are ready and willing to change, and it’s explained that stuff like this happens, we got through it. It’s hard to keep constant staff on hand all the time, so I understood. Thanks for all the help easterseals. You have a 5 star review from my family!!

We have been going here for years. We’ve seen a few doctors and therapists. I have never had any issues with any of the staff, doctors, or therapists. We’re always treated well. If you’re looking for pediatric/ adolescent care I highly recommend Dr. Greer. As far as therapists go Sarah Mathew and Elissa Redman are amazing!

The stars are for Dr. Olimpia Neagoe❤️❤️❤️ Only!!! I've checked all the other reviews and they're saying the same thing about the billing dept...The billing dept is trully discusting they charge co-pays without making sure the insurance company hasn't paid for the entire visit and won't refund your money wonce the truth comes out... I believe Sandy needs to work the front desk while she was so sure l owed $295.00 that ld already paid... She was very persistent with her claim.... Check your deductible before you Pay Copays They need to be investigated asap... Sally left a voicemail stating l owe nothing!! I saved that voice mail along with the 1st one from last year this time... l became very angry because I knew l owed nothing..This has happened twice and now lm done. I believe someone is pocketing a lot of money...And scamming people But The Truth Always Comes to the Light... More then 4 people are saying the same thing about the billing dept🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

This facility is, by far, the best in Michigan for mental health services. Something they offer that I've never received before was a case manager. Helps schedule appointments, checks in every month, arranges appropriate services based on what is most helpful to you, and provides resources on absolutely anything you may need. My case manager Abby even offered to help me on miscellaneous tasks such as going through/organizing paper stacks, basically anything you can think of, they are willing to help you with at the office. Case manager Abby even picked up clothing donations for my children as we had fallen on hard times. She has so many resources and she's been like an angel helping me manage things to make it easier on me so I can focus on therapeutic work. It's quite amazing the service I've received from Easter Seals. The psychiatrist, Dr. Linsk, is the most knowledgeable and caring doctor I've ever had. He takes time at every appointment to listen to me. He keeps up to date on the latest research. He's even been the first to give me new diagnosises that go beyond generalized anxiety, depression, ect. As for therapy, I had the pleasure of meeting the best therapist I've ever had, Emma. Emma has since left as she was an intern, however, my success story continued as I met my next therapist. I've been to at least 6 other mental health centers and I've never been given any other therapy besides basic CBT talk therapy. My first meeting with the new therapist, I tell her I've been working on this same issue for 10 years, she selflessly said she'd like me to try another therapist who is trained in Exposure Therapy as it may be a better help for me. That other therapist came right in to the room with us, talked, and we all agreed to try this and that I can go back to regular therapy after completion. They even offer group therapy but I've not used that service. The therapists here are young and fresh and are educated on the latest research. They have a drive of providing quality care that I've never experienced before. The whole office is the top standard of mental health services. My only adverse experiences have come from the front desk. I am aware of how hard it is to deal with patients at the front desk. They always have to handle the problems and are looked to for a solution. I've witnessed patients not speaking very kindly to the ladies at the front desk, however, I have a few issues with them myself. Any time I come into the office, I wait at the counter behind glass while nobody acknowledges my presence. I listen to their personal stories as the whole waiting room can hear them. Someone from the back usually pops in after me standing in front of the window for 5 minutes and finally assist me. I've been forgotten to be checked in twice. I've had therapists calling me from inside their office to ask if I was coming today as I was in the waiting room well on time. Front desk is probably one of the toughest and lowest paying jobs at the center, however the front desk needs a lot of guidance because their quality does not match the quality of the whole office. The front desk staff brings the whole office score down and I hope to see that change in the future because the front desk is the first encounter for most clients. A lot of people who will benefit from this location may be deterred because of the mishaps. But overall, best service in Michigan. I don't understand the negative reviews as I feel the complete opposite. Especially since I've been told and feel comfortable asking for a change in therapists or doctors if I'm not finding a good fit. Therapy works both ways. I'm sure with the quality mental health providers, you will find a good match. I'm so thankful to have found this location and I encourage others looking for quality care to reach out for assistance. This may just be the last road to recovery of your mental health you'll need to walk. They provide so much support. I don't know how they do it all! Thank you. You've all been angels in my life! :)

Hi. I just wanted to extend my thanks to Andrew and Jason. They came to pick up my couch, but determined it was too worn to be of use for your organization. However, when they learned that we needed the space for a hospital bed for my husband, they went far above and beyond and came back to take it to the curb for me. It was not an easy task; it was a sleep sofa and too big to fit through the door, so they dismantled it and stacked the pieces neatly at the curb for trash pickup tomorrow. We are very grateful and wanted to let you know! Thanks again!
