Working with Ms. David has been a crucial part of my recovery. She is the most considerate and patient person I could imagine. Her practical suggestions were extremely helpful and played an important role in my day-to-day anxiety management. I never feel judged only supported, and encouraged. This clinic has been amazing and after my recent hospitalization I have even more respect for this clinic. You’re always going to get your complainers but I can’t even begin to explain how this clinic has gone above and beyond for me in every way possible. If there is a clinic someone should go to, it’s definitely CMS. Even the hospital staff was amazed with how fast CMS took care of business. They especially loved Tiffany. Amazing group of women. They went to war for me, I hope one day I can return the favor.

Going here was the best decision of my life, Laura the director is truly an angel, and i wouldn't be where i am today without her, im 72 days in my recovery and feel the best ive felt my entire life, there should be a advance rapid detox in every state, all the govt funded places put u on suboxone and that just keeps u trapped with opiates, this place is amazing, the ppl r amazing. But, understand its still gonna be hard, but its better than any other option

I highly recommend this place especially if you’re coming off opiates, kratom, 7-oh, alcohol, or benzodiazepines. This was the easiest detox from opioids I’ve ever done. The detox process worked better than I expected. I was completely comfortable the entire time. I loved all the staff, doctor, and nurses. I could. It asked for a better process for such a difficult process.

I have so many good things to say about New Oakland Family Centers of Farmington Hills. As an adult, I was treated with respect and I felt that the staff truly listened to me as I explained my mental health symptoms. The team of professionals (psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, receptionists, nurse practitioners, etc.) were incredible. The group therapy sessions where well lead and the skills I gained from the sessions were meaningful and will be useful for the rest of my life. I have an entire binder of worksheets that I can refer back to, and I will! Thank You NOFC for all you have done for me and so many others.

For all your outpatient services, New Oakland is the best! I recommend them highly!

I just completed the program yesterday & feel like I have a new lease on life! The pics are more than accurate. Facilitates a safe supportive environment to heal in. Staff is respectful & helpful. I felt like they really cared. Especially Danny, Emma & Deidre. Classes were informative & impactf. Nya, my personal therapist, wasn't afraid to encourage personal growth & teach me to embrace change with a positive mindset.I couldn't have done any of this without her. If needed, I would return & plan to come bk into their Alumni program for graduates.

All of the staff I had the pleasure of interacting with were very pleasant and compassionate. I would recommend this place to a friend.

* it's a long read, yet I hope this helps others decide to commit to this place and recovery* this was my 1st time in a detox since 2012. I only stayed 3 days due to the fact that I need weeks to come off my Suboxone that I have been on for near 6 years now and to get off of kratom and 7oh (kratom is NOT the same as 7oh just so u know,... 7oh is extracted from kratom and synthesized to make 7oh so it's extremely potent) I wanted to walk out of that place completely off everything but the intake Nurse/P.A. and I argued over my impulsiveness for stopping my Suboxone yet once she explained the weendown process I accepted it, it's not possible how I wanted to do it and she reminded me to slow down and realize my impulsiveness..3 months minimum of slowly lowering my dose to getting shots and then after about 3months I could be free, so i decided to stay to get thru my withdrawals from kratom and 7oh (withdrawals very intense yet short lived) the detox psychologist, I believe his name was Ray, made me realize so much about myself in our 2 short encounters that changed my thoughts and thinking as well as my understanding of myself drastically for the better. He's an ol'school cat, war vet, grandfather and his general aura and vibe was genuine and real. And the fact that he was so natural was a relief. All the detox nurses were great...except 1. She had shoulder length blonde hair and treated us like inmates rather than people who self-committed themselves to their facility. I won't go to deep cuz it isn't that deep but nurses like her and her judgement and condescending tone when speaking AT u not WITH u will be the cause of ppl leaving AMA. We enter a program vulnerable and she make u feel like dog shit on the bottom of her shoe SMH yet there was a male nurse with glasses and shoulder length light hair (not really blonde tho) and I believe he wore glasses, was so AMAZING. He introduced himself, came out to our smoking area and conversated with us (briefly) as the people we are. He showed kindness and care where that 1 woman nurse neglected to treat us as and for that I appreciate you even tho I don't remember his name. I've been home just over a week now and have not run back to my kratom/7oh addiction...my appointment is coming up in October to start my process of getting off my Suboxone properly. Now as for the intake process, yes it's a lil cold and rough, you have got to understand they are the 1st contact point for those coming into treatment. They see EVERYTHING, Who goes to detox sober/straight...I have yet to see that in my on and off recovery from 2000-2026, so they are getting the absolute worst of our selves when arriving. They must be stern and thorough in the start. Like no nonsense. I wasn't greeted with smiles and faith and I didn't arrive with smiles and faith such as that so I'm not mad and nobody attitude could stop me from wanting it... Take what applies to you and ur life and forget the rest. I would recommend this place to others. ( If u are going in prepare urself, read their list of approved items, and/or call the office and ask if you're curious if you can bring something that isn't on that list and what kind of packaging or even ingredients are restricted). And say this because I didn't get my deodorant and the only makeup I got that I brought was my liquid foundation but who tf am I truly trying to impress with my looks while detoxing LOL no biggie. It was battle that I chose not to fight...my zest bar soap worked just fine and deodorant.

Dr. Dylan O’Reilly is the nicest caring doctor at U of M. I see a warm and kind person who was there for me during a lot no time of severe allergies. When the medical world seems so tired and cold… Dr. O’Reilly is not like that at all.

First clinic I'm actually happy to start. Everyone was so nice on my intake day. I love the doctor I seen (I don't remember his name, but he was really tall and he had brown hair and only comes in on Mondays) The lady at the front desk was so welcomed and nice I think her name is lila and Melissa is incredibly funny and helpful. My overall experience was just great. They explained everything perfectly and was more than welcoming. It feels like a breath of fresh air coming from what I came from previously.

Really awesome methadone clinic I think the best one in Detroit Michigan. This place has really helped me out a lot the staff is very great and really good atmosphere.

The difference between Trinity and a place like, say, Henry Ford, is like night and day. At Trinity they treat you like a human being who is struggling, whereas, at Henry Ford they treat you from the very beginning of your admission like a criminal. Trinity Hospital in-patient psychiatric unit treats you with respect and dignity. Are there a few staff that aren't quite as good as others? Of course, but, overall Trinity tries to give it's patients an experience that will improve their mental health instead of further destroying someone's mental health like they do at places like Henry Ford. If I ever suffer any kind of emotional health crisis again I will be going to Trinity. My only gripes are they need more cards of different types for patients to play (Regular cards, Uno, Skip-Bo, etc.), bigger tables outside of the dining area so puzzles can be put together, more books of different kinds in their library, and I feel as if they try to shove you out the door too fast. At no point were they even close to capacity when I was there so I think they should slow it down for when there is not a lot of people. I also think there should be a separate ward for the more angry, aggressive patients. The people who run the groups are good, too, and deserve praise. I just hope whomever is in charge makes sure to keep an eye on the attitudes of the staff so there is no decline in how patients are treated. It takes an entire team to make sure patients are treated fairly and humanely but it only takes a few bad staff to ruin that.

First, I want to acknowledge how difficult it can be to admit that you might need psychiatric intervention. If you're reading this review, you might be considering intervention for yourself or a loved one. You might be crying, hurting, screaming into the void; it's terrifying to look at where one might go to be cared for at a time that feels overwhelming, isolating, and dark. You're giving up autonomy to strangers who claim they will help you in a time of need -- this is a major decision. No one wants to check into the ER for a troubled mind. No one wants to reduce their humanity in a highly controlled environment just to keep themselves safe. No one wants to lose access to their phone, their family and friends, the things that make them feel connected to the world at large. And really, no one wants to eat hospital food three times a day. But if you're reading this review it's because there may be no other option but to do these things as you white-knuckle your way through a personal hell on Earth. I myself hit a breaking point recently and did not know where to go; I had been white-knuckling my own inner hell on Earth for weeks and finally imploded, then exploded. After two previous outpatient stays at other facilities across Michigan, multiple psychiatrists and psychologists and therapists, I committed to checking myself into Trinity just to try. Just to see. Just to find the light, if there could be some. And I did find some: The staff here is incredibly kind, helpful, and they never appear inconvenienced. I was given access to multiple different medical specialists and doctors who could discuss the nuanced angles of my struggles. The social workers listened with care. The nurses were good-humored and patient. The recreational therapists were joyful, always smiling. And the food, it turns out, was not all that bad (just make sure you get double portions of everything). I read books and looked out the window, and spoke with others who understood how I was feeling. I was able to rest. I was able to cry. I was able to feel my inner world fully and without judgement. I was anxious to leave when I regained my strength, as anyone would feel, and I felt I needed to leave a review as there were only a few by the time I Googled this facility; as I'm sure you're aware, mental health service providers suffer reviews that can be hard to trust or are designed to scare you based on a unique experience. All I can say is that I put my trust in Trinity and I left with my dignity intact. That is more than what can be said about a lot of places. I leave this review in the hopes that if you or a loved one needs intensive care, please call and give this place a try. The light is here if you need it.
