They saved my life twice

I traveled from Saginaw, MI for 3.5 hours to this facility for my first experience with inpatient rehabilitation for addiction, and boy am I glad that my very first interaction and encounter with a program and facilitator in this profession was with this place! They are very professional and thorough and fair in their policy and implementation on those in the program while still allowing the room for individuals to have the unique care or alterations to their new restrictions in the program that takes into account the very unpredictable and varying differences in the residents lives and needs. The facility was very clean and more than acceptable for my needs. The location is removed enough from the hustle and bustle to not tempt but not too far removed you feel isolated. The groups and their lessons and program literature was completely in current recommendations with the latest available information education and resources readily available for your recovery journey and services. One woman had her child with her and the staff was more than helpful and supportive in providing child supervision and care. The child was content and while we know not so, seemed totally unaffected and unaware of any possible difficulties in the mother’s life. When there is an issue of any type it is very quickly and satisfactorily addressed. There was a man who was stalking the property in a vehicle one night and so a worker came out with us while we smoked cigarettes in which there was then another man who wandered on to the parking lot and this worker was very professional but stern and unmoving in her directing him away and off the property. I felt like a baby bear and she was definitely mama protecting her cubs! I felt so safe and sure that she was dedicated to our well being. Honestly I can’t praise this place and their workers enough! If you are thinking of sobriety and feel that rehab is appropriate for the start of your journey , then make the trip here!

I’ve had really good experiences here the four times that I’ve went there. The doctors have all been knowledgeable and very helpful. Even the dentist did a great job with my two year-old.

They have nice ART by local artists and the Kindest, most caring, and just the best ppl work there !!!!!

I had the privilege of attending this rehab twice and both times were beautiful moments in my Life. I liked that it was an only male facility. The staff was Amazing :) groups didn't feel forced I always felt like I wanted to share and make sense of my Life and substance abuse issues with a group of guys that can relate.. I don't think I've ever Laughed that much in my entire Life.. The house taught me how to Live normally again. If I know anyone suffering from addiction I Always recommend the Phoenix House because MY experience was so extremely profound :) I attended two years ago and still keep in touch with alot of the guys I had the privilege to meet while there :) I Highly recommend this place :)

My latest experience here was awful. These people have no sympathy for the relapsing addict. No matter how much work he puts in to show his steadfastness wanting a better life. The curriculum is very limited. I was here for 14 days before having a session with my councilor. I had to twist his arm to get the basic needs such as homework, aftercare, and community resources. I had to use the client phone to make the necessary calls for after care and nearly wasn't able to carry on my recover journey due to the negligence of my councilor AND another councilor who obviously was running my councilors whole operation too. I tried to go thru the grievance process and the big wigs just threw it away instead of bringing it to the heath department as the form stated to do. No one deserves this treatment from anyone especially the very people sworn to help you in your recovery journey. In the end, I was assaulted by another client and was asked to leave "neither successfully nor unsucsessfully" just like I saw them do to another resident during my stay. I'm still sober thanks to the wonderful people I have in my life and the aftercare I somehow was able to set up my self. This truly is a den of theives who preach right but do wrong. Maybe your experience will be different, but I speak the truth ✋️ hand to God.

Had a blood draw in the morning so made myself some coffee, drank half, and left for my appointment. They were so fast that, when I got back home, my half cup of coffee on the counter was still warm! Talk about service!

For isolation of area clinic does great. In a sweet location too honestly. Wish the American legion was near the pier too. Most things you will have to travel for, but that also makes sense so do normal civilians to see any major specialists.

I came into this clinic during a relapse. I had 3 years sober in and fell off. Well , today 11-4-25 I have roughly 9 years of sobriety in. This clinic and (Jim) my old counselor helped change my thinking and save my life. Stopping dope will never keep someone sober , however if you can also get the addict to change his thinking as well miracles can happen. I have a credit score the Hoovers around 780-800 and a brand new 2024 GMC sierra that cost me 85k. This place did wonders

Helps get off drugs very helpful place

When I started going to the clinic I would get high on pretty much whatever I could get my hands on. I was terrible. I didn't care who I hurt as long as I could get high. But then I found out about the methadone clinic and I called them reluctantly I wasn't even sure I wanted help but I knew I needed belp. So I went to my intake and I started going to the clinic and ever since then I have been drug free.My life is completely different now. It is weird how much you can miss by being in a fog of drugs. All I know is that if I hadn't started going to the clinic I would most likely have ended up dead, either killed or o. d. If you are looking for help and want to use the program I suggest that you go the the methadone clinic in Mt. Pleasant mi they will give you the help that you. Need to get your life right and they will treat you as a person and won't. Look down on you I am very grateful for all that they have done for me
