Jail or the streets were your option so remember that these people are getting paid very little yet choose to work here because most of them do care but there are thinhs called HIPPA laws etc and so that takes a toll on certain aspects of how they have to structure thier program. I came in as a complicated emergency detox patient with severe underlying auto immune disease and AFIB. Am well known among the medical practitioner groups as a unique medical anomaly from the various health conditions i suffer from ontop of a severe chronic opioid dependacy. Safe to say I'm very seasoned with medical lingo, treatment plans/strategies, the struggles of new patients and many other patient woes. So, I, as the patient came overwhelmingly prepared with meticulously documented list of my systems, substances I suffer from and anything else to help the team. Tiffani was my first point of contact. What a total sweetheart and professional. Absolutely love how she gets down to business on your care without time being wasted. Being in the severe medical state I was in, my intake was very quick, smooth and within minutes was on a tele health call with Dr Nick-this is where things really took off for me. First and foremost, Dr Nick might just be one of my all time favorite practitioners out of the 40yrs+ experience with medical staff due to his impeccable listening, understanding, level of care, and the overall efforts to genuinely offer patients relief of their nightmares. Truly owe my life to this God send as he literally saved me while in the middle of a severe reaction shortly after my first ever dose. Mind you, my case is very complicated, aggressive and being unique. I've found that being forthcoming transparency in the purest way is what will save your life. It's the only method I take due to the constant hurdles and obstacles I face during treatment plans. Wholeheartedly believe, can firmly say that had I of been at any other clinic outside of CMS, my life would have been lost. Dr Nick's heroism was among a top highlight in life for me and will be something to remember for as long as I life. My genuine thanks to a fantastic person who really not only loves helping patients but enjoys medicine. This is a rare and epic experience! In closing, the staff, service facilities and overall care here are nothing short of extraordinary. This shop and the angels who show up daily truly have a gift of not only helping people but are miracle workers for those at the end of their rope. This is the place you want to be, if you want to recover. It's clean, classes are phenomenal, nurses, doctors, therapists, milieu techs, med techs, environmental services, everyone is great. Aftercare here is also wonderful. Update: they are wonderful until you need them again. I called yesterday, they were suppose to call back. I haven't been there for 3yrs. I needed help. Today no response. Tried calling back, no response. I had been seeing a therapist after she quit there. She only had terrible things to say about the place that they weren't up to updated treatments. I just want to get better and I would hope they could help. I guess I'm wrong. Renee 3 months ago 4/5 stars, but here's why. I was not an attendee, simply a support person for a friend who decided to cut his stay short, but here is what I can say from being a person limited on the outside. 1.) The amount of ability they give to allow for the family member to contact their loved ones is great! I was astounded by the high allowances of connection they give to those who are admitted. It's a huge plus, which is shocking but greatly appreciated. 2.) Every person there was kind but committed. I got the vibe that they were there to do a job, and do it well, but without being rude. I could tell there was compassion here for the people they take in. 3.) They have rules that are relatively strict, as is true of most rehab facilities. 4.) They were clean, and offered as many amenities as they could given that insurance covers those who stay there. It does feel hospital-ey, but it is owned by a hospital, so no real major un-expectations there. MY ONLY COMPLAINT: the heat and A/C in the building seems to be lacking. It seems the facility is well worn, and could use a re-up. It gets hot in there in the summertime, and I can imagine it would be difficult for me to sleep there. The majority of the employees there care about the residents. It's clean, they make sure your withdrawals are not too bad. When u 1st arrived you will be in detox 3 days or so then go over to the residents side for 29 days. The rooms have 2 to 3 people in it with its own shower/bath. Breakfast is 7, lunch 11, dinner 4 and a snack at 8. If you're too sick to go to the dining area they will bring it to your room. Mondays and Tuesday are your long days you're in meetings from 9am to 10pm. Group meetings are mandatory every day 9-11. Church is on Sunday and Bible Study on Wednesday. They will help u get on your feet so u can survive when u get out. Oh and the men monitors are cute too, i know one resident who has started messing around with one recently. But the majority of them are not like that. It's a spiritually grounded place where God is first. Oh and you get to keep your phone and smoke whenever you want to. Let's see what else , Oh the food is good now it wasn't when I 1st got there but we complained about it at our weekly meeting and it has improved, a lot! As far as I'm concerned it's one of the best around, but I've only been to one other Christian guidance center, i caught COVID there. I was only there for 2 weeks but they never took my vitals when I was there. And Harbor Light checks them every 4 hours when you're in detox. And once you have completed everything you will get a certificate and a coin. Oh and u have to drop weekly, Oh and they also have a medical mobile unit that comes every Thursday iu need blood work or whatever done.
