I graduated from The Shakopee Haven in December 2022. This place changed my life for the better. I owe a lot to my Counselor Chris for not giving up on me. He gave me so many tools to use in life after treatment to continue to stay clean. He always told me I had the ability to restore and rebuild with my children if I stay clean. I had the wonderful opportunity to be able to recover at the Hazelden Betty Ford Clinic. They treat your addiction and mental health and that has been tremendously instrumental in my recovery. Every staff member at this facility is kind and cares about your recovery journey. There are so many activities to do outside of groups. The campus is beautiful. I would highly recommend choosing this facility. They have so much to offer and you will not regret starting your recovery journey here!

Just got home from Burkwood yesterday! Definitely recommend them. The counselors are rough but that’s because they care. I’ve been to treatment before, however this time learned way more than I ever have. The nursing staff is knowledgeable and helpful. While the doctor only comes on Wednesday she is amazing. And don’t let me forget the cooks Bret and Val! They are definitely top notch! Thank you everyone at Burkwood!

If you are looking to be the best version of yourself, you have found it!!! Burkwood is a Tony Robins style boot camp. This centered based program is a master class on recovery, in my opinion, it's the one place you can really start over and begin the change so desperately needed for the road to recovery!!! The staff at Burkwood is second to none. The RA's and nurse's understand you and are amazing people!!! The cooks created fantastic food (Michelin Star grade) three squares and dessert!!! Also snacks on deck😉 The counselors are fantastic and each has a unique experience which gives better perspective on your journey! You can really emerse yourself in the program if you keep an open mind, don't get in your own way, and mind your bobber. With the community, you will feel like family, not only with the clients but the staff as well! People really care here and you will feel it! The comrodary you may not have known you needed is here and helps you become healthy, not only for yourself but in relationships and life over all. The best version of yourself is waiting to be realized!! Everyone I know has congratulated my achievements since graduating this program. I have no regrets and a much clearer pathway to my goals in recovery. After here, life really begins!

The people here are genuine and so welcoming and welcome newcomers with open arms the intake process is super tedious and long and takes 3 to 4 hours but it’s so so so worth it!!!!! no regrets choosing to come here I promise you will feel the same I can’t say one bad thing about this place at all. Been to this place off and on for years best place and coming back I felt really heard and seen and actually helped my mental health so much the staff is amazing there and my family therapist is the best and even the dbt day treatment and I would definitely recommend this place. Finding therapist is hard and finding the right fit is hard too but if anyone feels this place isn’t the best it is you can choose who to work with and what works best for you. If I could give 10 stars I would and before I left this place as a teenager I had Karen king and she was a beautiful soul ! Helped me through a lot so definitely recommended this place for any help you need! Everyone in the dbt day treatment was the best staff ever! And the family therapist chue is amazing helped me out and my partner out so much and will continue working with him !

This facility and their program is amazing and saved my life. I have been in this program 4 times I believe. This is not because the program was ineffective but because I was battling a lifetime of issues. The staff is like family to me, they genuinely care and they played a huge role in changing my life. I also participated in their aftercare programs PHP/ partial hospitalization program and the step down program from that was the AMHOP/ adult mental health outpatient program. These were also very effective and a key factor in my rehabilitation. After care is so important, although this was stressed when I was completing my treatment plan I did not take advantage of these services the first few times I completed the inpatient program. However after completing both after care programs, I understood the importance and have been able to maintain my mental health and sobriety. Most everyone dealing with addiction knows 9.8/10, we are self medicating dealing with severe underlying mental health issues. So addressing both issues at the same time was definitely what the missing piece to the puzzle. I highly recommend Mercy Hospital Unity Campus! Oh I didn’t mention the food and beds, way better than any other facility I have been to! I could go on and on about the many positive attributes, but I won’t. The staff is so warm and welcoming, you will feel right at home! I could go on and on about the many positive attributes, but I won’t. Definitely worth investing your time, you will NOT regret your decision to give it a try!

Went in a mess 16 beers a day extremely thirsty so I drank more beer. I wasn't passing water because my liver was so scarred and imflamed. Thought I would putz and brought projects but they allow nothing inside. Hardly books either because of hiding drugs. It wasn't long before I was aprt of a group of zombies milling about. Having to go get blood pressure checks etc. I wanted to be alone and meditate. Easy to get used to this carefree life. Most take advantage all agreeable to the BS to stay longer. The walls started to close in and I left after 3 days. I only have GOD to thank. But I needed to know I could not drink and live. Very hard but now I'm not afraid and I don't want so much. You have to decide.. I jonesd for cigarettes more than beer.

This is an excellent treatment center. It's out in the country with a ton of wildlife, and a farm next door with emus, ostriches, horses and a zebra(that i didnt see but it was really cold). There are 4 different buildings so you get outside a lot. The staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They will help you with anything. From legal issues to Healthcare to filling out assistance forms and sending them in. They will bring you to offsite appointments and court dates. (You won't miss important things like a reviewer said) The food is decent, you will gain weight if you eat all the meals and finish them. While I was there we had an awesome community of people that were willing to help any way they could. There was no judgment if you opened up. The counselors are awesome and teach productive groups. Other people in the program said it was the best treatment center they have ever been to. The negative reviews are from family or partners that don't understand the person that went here didn't care about getting sober. Were just there for 3 meals and a warm bed. I watched this firsthand. They have lockers and locking wall closets so it's your fault if something gets stolen. People steal no matter where they are so it's nieve to think it would change just because your in treatment. That's just a part of life sadly. I didn't see or hear that while I was there though. Cedar Ridge gave me a very solid foundation for recovery and staying sober. Got me into an aftercare program where I wanted as well. Highly recommend to anyone who needs help getting sober and learning to staying sober. THANK YOU CEDAR RIDGE STAFF! THANK YOU EMILY!

I have had anxiety with MRIs for my whole life. I think today I went to Fairview in Wyoming and Tim was a fantastic radiologist. He was kind he met all my needs. It was the first time that I did not have an anxiety attack. I laid there and listen to the music and it was done quickly.

Food was served hot, which was good. Veggies overcooked, but for the type of eater in a hospital bed, probably perfect. Goes along with the need for salt. Pot pie crust was buttery and flakey. Dinner roll was quality. For a hospital, 4 out of 5 stars, but still would recommend not needing to eat here. Lol

While I can't speak for the in-person services provided, we had a wonderful experience via phone communication. We were trying to help a family member navigate treatment options. We called on a Saturday to discuss what detox services might look like. Tony was the staff member who took our call. He was incredibly informative, kind and non-judgmental. He explained the process for being admitted, what to expect over the days of treatment, and also what we could expect from our family member specific to meth withdrawal. We were fortunate that we were able to get our family member directly into an intensive residential treatment facility, but the information he provided was so helpful in the interim! It took me a couple of months to get around to writing this review, but huge shout out to Tony!

I went here for pao surgery on my hip the nurses and doctors are some of the sweetest people I have ever met they always made sure I wasnt in any pain and took such good care of me and never had a problem with how much apple juice I asked for. they are very understanding on how their patients are in pain everyone there made it so easy and despite being in all my post surgery pain the nurses were always there to help I even got hugs from my favorite nurse who was so helpful and kind I hope any other kid whos scared and afraid knows that they have such a good medical team to take such good care of them. side note the food isn't the best but the care from the medical staff is amazing the food could be better and I think it would be better to add stuff like French fries for little kids that are picky eaters

I have fought my mental health since I was a teen. (51 now) I was in United Hospital for a few weeks after being off my meds and having some "issues". After the hospital I came here for 90 days of intensive treatment. It has literally changed my life and outlook ON life more than I could've ever imagined. The staff and the other residents have been amazing. I got my meds all lined up and have been taking them religiously. The groups and the actual treatment has helped me enormously to the point that friends I had lost because of WHO I had become with my bipolar flaring up have come back and are so supportive. I will never forget what Maghakian Place has done for me and there's still two months to go. If you need help, trust me....it's out there. Don't be afraid to WIN the battle you've been fighting!!!!! I ended up here after a rough day (a.k.a. life). Ten beds, mostly residents recovering from alcohol or drug use. Rooms are spacious and clean. Food was decent, incredibly large portions. Staff was kind, caring, and genuine. The big guy who checked me in thanked me for being there. I don’t have family or friends, and that simple kindness meant more than he probably knew. I was no a fan of the psychiatrist. He seemed offended when I asked if he would coordinate with my regular psychiatrist about my meds. When I said I wasn’t sleeping, he said they do 15-minute checks and I was, which made me feel like my honesty was being questioned. My discharge notes didn’t reflect what I meant when answering questions about self-harm, and I left feeling unheard and invalidated.

I was just there for a week and they make it feel like such a safe place for patients and it definitely felt safe to me. Also the nurses and doctors are very good at what they do and are so open so you can tell them anything. They are all so great at what they do. I appreciate them all, all the ones I’ve met there. Definitely recommend!!
