I am new to the area, and was driving by, so I just pulled in. I was greated warmly and had the best service I have ever gotten in a va facility. I made sure I was set for here and actually got to be seen in 30 minutes. The doc and nurses were really interested in helping. The lab tech was super! I got appointments for further care. I have family members that have been there and the staff were very kind and always helpful. The nurse practitioner is Very kind and patient evaluating every possibility to help someone the best way they can. Like most places they probably get super busy or behind at times, but that came with Changes with Covid. I see the results of Region8 patients almost on a daily basis. Anything from depression, anxiety, alcoholism,, bipolar, schizophrenia, and more mental health issues for adults and children than I could ever list. Thank you, Region8 and all of your staff for your presence in our community. I greatly appreciate everything you’ve done for everybody. I’ve known that’s been there as well as helping those that I do not know.

Actually facilities was extremely clean n comfortable spacious kinda. You do have to share room n bathroom with 1 to 3 other clients. Facility extremely good at what they do. Food was fantastic. At times u feel like there should be more to do but in the end sobering up n dealing with issues u will be grateful for the rest. I would recommend this facility to others the staff helped me n cared about me I’ll never forget them. Not 5 star only cause limited smoke breaks! They hold your smokes and there are 9 allotted smoke breaks a day. Issues with getting more when u ran out even tho u had money with u n they could go to the store for shampoo for u but refused to purchase smokes n u would get punished if caught sharing

I stayed here for 30 days it was amazing and the counselors (Steve,Hayden) I enjoyed the most their classes was very educational taught me so much about myself. The staff Omg I love so much!! They treated me like family and they showed me so much love(Etta,Jazz,Erica,Mr Josh, Anthony,Bret,Tori),JC(alumni)& so many more. Ms. Donna(clinical director) took care of all my needs. But I will say that Shelley, the RN finally got my meds at 5 days and my suboxone got lost somehow, and I was definitely taken back at how operations have changed, but the texts were pretty good. If I could, I would check 10 out of 5 stars. Defining Wellness was not the first treatment center I had attended, it was the fourth; two IOPs and a residential treatment center prior. I can't fully put into words the difference in the quality of care I received at Defining Wellness. I thought the first treatment center I went to was great and I made it a little over two weeks before I relapsed. I went to an IOP shortly after and had my first large period of sobriety and then, relapse. I made it about two weeks after my second IOP before I made the decision that I needed a higher level of care and was referred to Defining Wellness. The facility was super nice. 5 star luxury accommodations? Close, but the facility far exceeded my expectations. What made the difference and very literally saved my life was that staff. These people pour their hearts and souls into ensuring their clients are taken care of to the best of their abilities. In the 48 days I was there between detox, residential and residential PHP I never had the same class. I never experienced boredom from being told the same thing over and over again. Counselors took their personal time to speak with me if I had questions or just to talk to me to see how I was doing. The classes we had daily were well thought out and conducted by people that obviously had an intense passion about bettering the lives of others. I am days away from beating my "record" of the longest period of sobriety I've ever had and I owe every single day to the faculty of Defining Wellness. I would recommend this facility to anyone who genuinely wants to learn that they may have to live with their disease for the rest of their life, but they can live it without using ever again. I have accepted and am comfortable with the fact that I never have to drink again. Thank you to everyone at Defining Wellness for saving my life and allowing me to start the process of finding myself after 25 years of redefining my rock bottom over and over again.

There isn't enough space to say how I feel about Lake Wellness. I woke up on 9/10/23 and decided to reach out to them via online. I filled out a form and was called within minutes offering help. I honestly could not do it by myself. The staff there is exceptional. The counselors there were exceptional. And the doctor very caring. Everytime I went in I felt like I was walking into home and knew I was safe. Thank you so much Lake Wellness, yall saved my life!!!!!

This is an amazing program . I graduated in January. Just to start with the smaller things , the beds are comfy , own apartment, private, the food is good. THE COUNSELORS ARE EXCELLENT! ELIZABETH was my counselor inpatient and I saw tremendous growth in me. She showed me Iam intresicly valuable. Alumni is awesome. IOPshod really have it's own review. It's excellent. I do my socializing here with sober people I already have a report with. They feed us and give our meds. Great comrodery.By far the best part is my counselor. KAT IS AMAZING! I don't know where I'd be with out her. She points my growth out to me. Has helped me get through many tough situations. She is educated, informative and has amazing feedback! She's my favorite part of this all around awesome experience. She not only is awesome listener but gives great advise and makes me feel important. This woman along with ERIN who I affectionatly call Nanny has great art projects and is very kind. Along with the receptionist Ms Altondra is so organized and helps everything run smoothly. When I walk thru the door as the first face I see greets me with care and optimism. I love this place and these lady's. IOP is fun therapeutic and full of love. Also shout out to Ashly Duncan and Sam who are huge parts of my recovery. Sam does such am amazing job running alimni. He has played a great roll in my recovery. Love Jacie

Narcanon Louisiana is a safe haven. This is a place that can help you drastically change your life if that’s what you need. The entire staff has first-hand knowledge of what a drug addict is going through, and that carries a lot of weight toward rehabilitation guidance. The tactics used here are outside of the box, and they are teaching powerful methods of conflict resolution that can be applied in so many life situations. A person always has to be proactive in their own path in life, and this program shows you how to forgive yourself and move forward in a more meaningful way than previously experienced. I will be forever grateful to Narconon Louisiana.

I left Narconon in September of 2022. I am enrolled in school now with my own apartment, car, and healthy relationships with all my friends and family. Considering I came from about as rock bottom as it could get (broken hearted, socially despised, and facing felony charges), I have completely altered the outcome of my life with the help of these dedicated and knowledgeable staff members. This is a 10 star place! The immense knowledge I have gained from my student program, as well as nearly a year of staff work, has laid the foundation on which I have been able to start building a life I never thought I could achieve. From being a hair away from a bid in prison, to a high functioning and appreciative member of society, I share the wealth of knowledge I learned here with everyone who is facing conflict in their own lives. The program is not easy, and will force you to take ultimate responsibility for all aspects of your life. The unrivaled support and relationships you acquire here will last you a lifetime, but you have to first be honest with yourself. I don’t mean to put down anyone’s subjective experience, however, the one star views prove to me presence of an intense bias. Proof? Why are there no 2 or 3 star votes? How is something either 5 stars or 1? Contemplate that for a second like I have and you will come to the reasonable conclusion that those 1 star-raters have a strong emotional bias towards situations that they feel they were victim to. This place only means to help!
