I love this doctor's office!! I have rarely had a problem with getting an appointment, even with the pandemic (using tele-health). Dr.Irby, and all of the staff listen to you. They always answer my questions, and if they don't know what is going on with you, they will refer you to someone who will find out. If you have a medical need, and you want a no nonsense, straight answer, go to this clinic!!

This season has been hard with illness, and all of the doctors are booked for days. My 5yo is non-verbal autistic, and we can't wait in a waiting room, hoping to be squeezed in. I called Hamilton Medical Clinic and spoke to Kim. She was so kind and helpful. Instead of pushing us off, she made a few calls and got us set up with a telehealth visit. Such great service. Obviously they were slammed with in-person and telehealth calls. When I met with the Nurse Practitioner, Caring, she was very kind and informative. She wasn't trying to speed through the call and listened to my concerns and gave advice needed. Great experience all-around (as great as one can be for a sick kiddo anyways) ☺️

Employee went the extra mile!! Today, when I called and asked to speak with a patient care advocate, I was transferred to Ms. J Laiken's voicemail at Cameron Regional Medical Center. She returned my call and let me know that Dr. Shoaib is no longer with Cameron Regional Medical Center and was not sure how she could help us. I usually go to St Luke’s Barry Rd, but needed to be seen sooner than later so I took an appointment here at SMITHVILLE. The experience has been wonderful, from the front desk, to the Nurse, lastly to the doctor. Even the lady that took my blood was so kind and quick! They were very engaging and really listened to my concerns, which is so important to me. I recommend this St Luke’s 100%!!!

To anyone reading this who is thinking about checking themselves in for mental health purposes, or maybe you’re on the way there and wondering what to expect: You will get better here. There are so many people here who genuinely want to help. The night staff especially is really amazing and will make you smile. Stick it out through the food and water which are both very gross. (Ask for flavor packets for the water and you’ll be just fine.) It’s worth it. I really wish this place had clocks, though. A lot of patients, myself included were even more anxious that we never knew what time it was and were always asking everyone else. I hated the food so much because it was worse than dog food but hopefully you can find something you like. Because it really is worth it. Especially if you meet Richie, Phil, Lori, Dr. Perry and the therapists. Also Greta the doggy.

I cannot explain how much i love synergy. Their shelter is nice, as well as welcoming, and comforting. I have been here 3 times- the staff here are phenomenal. They're kind, they joke with me, and they help me when I need it. They're there for you, and if they're busy, they'll get to you when they can. There's home cooked meals every day, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as snack time every night, where they make something for the youth. If you have an allergy, they accommodate for you. My first time here, I was taken by my mentor from school. I had been kicked out the house by my abusive grandfather 5 days after my birthday. Synergy staff welcomed me, and made me feel like I mattered. Each time I was here, I was cared for. I'm now in a different shelter, but I can't recommend this shelter enough to people living in Kansas City, especially in the north east area. The 238 takes you straight to synergy from the east village bay metro area. I've made friends here that I am still in contact with to this day. I still call up here occasionally to speak to staff. Even though I struggled a lot mentally, and struggled with sh, staff didn't treat me any different than any other kid. They made sure I was kept safe, even if it meant Dante fussing at me for wanting to cut my own apples (what a chud). I'd never regret coming here, and I'm so happy I did. Even if I'm not living on my own yet, Synergy has helped me so, so much. I'm grateful to not live with my family, who I know won't support me or give me the help I need with my own mental health. I'm so so grateful, and I can't express it enough.

this is going to be a very long message i have for everyone doubting this place my name is amelia stone and i am 16 years old, i lived in a very toxic abusive situation until i gave up and ran away, i went to a quick trip in blue springs missouri and the lady took me back to the back had me sit down and called synergy, it was 20 degrees outside i barley had any clothes on and i was not dressed according to the weather, the nicest human being i have ever met, his name is ellis, he came and talked to me and did everything in his power (even broke a few rules) just to get me somewhere safe, i will forever be greatful for that man. when i arrived at synergy, i met lexi and kelsey, they treated me like their own, i never felt like i couldn't be who i was, now onto my person, blayne. blayne was one of the weekday evening workers, they are the best person to have ever walked into my life and they treated me like i was worth something, like i had a future, like i had something to look forward to, they made sure i never gave up no matter what it was my dad did, the people you meet at synergy will be your family for life, your REAL family, family don't have to be blood, just someone you feel at home with, and that's exactly what this place meant to me.

Don’t really understand the low rating of this rehab. The only person willing to change has to be yourself. The only outcomes of this is rehab is SOBRIETY, DEATH OR LASTLY PRISON. They genuinely care about your being and I’m glad that God placed me in the care of these people. I wish nothing but the best for EVERYONE that comes through here but you HAVE to do it for yourself. You have family, friends that care deeply about you and you can better yourself with the personal time you get to yourself. Look for something to believe in because you can not only make a difference in not only yourself but for your children and the people who surround you and love you.

My family of 5, recently bumped to 7, have all been in services with NCMMHC in one aspect or another for around a decade. Between therapy, medication treatments, case workers, and whatever else we've had experience with, I don't know where we'd be without them! We have multiple therapists, medication therapy doctors, and case workers between us all, each of whom have made awesome contributions to handling and processing our mental and emotional challenges. But it's not just been individual. Our family as a unit has had so much growth and progress thanks to the services we receive. I love that we are able to get that, family sessions and such along with individual. And one of the things I'm most grateful for, is how they don't hesitate to help you out or work you in same day when you're having a crisis. My daughter was at this facility for almost three months. In that time she got sober and was able to open up emotionally unlike in the past. She also learned independence skills an gained some confidence in her own abilities. I am thankful for embark and the impact they had on my daughter. I just had to stop in and write a review for Embark in Independence MO. Last winter, my son needed residential treatment as it was no longer safe for him to be in home. After exploring various options, Embark was the only program that would take him, and only on a trial basis. As a family, we were hoping for a brief respite and then planned to bring him home and get back to it. Most surprising though, was that the young man we brought home made more progress in that 90 days than we would have ever dreamed possible! We brought him home about a month ago. Before Embark, he was having meltdowns and needing to be physcially restrained at school multiple times per week for his safety as well as everyone else's. Since he has been home... At home and in the community, not a single meltdown. At school, the same. No holds, no issues. He is focused on his school work, and not distracted by dysregulated classmates. He is walking away from situations that previously would have triggered him into physical violence. He has actively opposed bullying at his school, putting into practice the skills that he learned and saw modeled in the millieu. At home, he no longer goes from 0 to 100 without warning. He is able to walk away. He can tolerate frustration. I could give numerous examples - but needless to say, we are beyond grateful! Embark worked with him on medication changes, therapeutic instruction, and training in the millieu of students - and what they did made a signficant and positive impact in the life of our son and our family. This young man that we brought home from Embark has grown leaps and bounds in emotional maturity beyond what I would have dreamed was possible in such a short time. Placing your kid in residential is an impossibly difficult decision for any parent. But at this place, the phenomenal people and program are making a difference! And our family is forever grateful.

In general, my parents have received great care from the doctors, nurses, staff at Mosaic over the decades. We are so grateful. Most recently, Dr Bader has been my dad's internal medicine doctor. I can't say enough great things about him. He has helped our family navigate through difficult care choices with, grace, compassion and honesty of the reality. As a daughter, it's comforting to know he is that kind of doctor. His approach is so appreciated in stressful circumstances. And to the rest of the staff we've interacted with, my sincere thank you.
