Just went in for my first initial visit today. All of the staff were incredibly kind, helpful, and very empathetic. The front desk ladies were so nice and awesome to chat with. Dominic, the man who did my evaluation questionnaire, was incredibly kind, empathetic, so thoughtful, and so helpful. There were times during the evaluation where I was very tearful and upset about my situation, and he was an amazing listener and gave great support. This is an incredible resource for mental health in Jackson County. I ve utilized their services and despite some communication issues, they are always so kind and accommodating. Many negative experiences I see are from people already dealing with a lot of stress outside of this facility, and aren t patient going into it.Like other bureaucratic services, it helps going into this place with a mindful and patient attitude, if you can.

There are others that work with Irene that are just as important to you.You have to do chores but they aren t large duties. Roger will be on you. It s good to clean your surroundings makes you feel good.Breakfast isn t the greatest but, that will change. Yvette serves breakfast she has to have thick skin because she didn t make the food. She has no control on what is being served. Be nice to her always and your days will go better. Lunch and Dinner are more filling. Blake is one of the cooks trying to make new desserts and new meals. There is a suggestion box downstairs so fill it out. They have snack later on in the night. I met Tom from Salvation Army very stand up person he is kind and cordial. They have a gym for basketball and a small workout room.The Veterans I met are my forever brothers. I will stay in touch after I leave. Thank you Salvation Army for helping me find my way.
