This hospital is truly exceptional. I had never been admitted to a hospital before, so I came in terrified and unsure of what to expect. From the moment I arrived, every part of the experience was made as comfortable as possible.
While no one enjoys being in the hospital, I felt genuinely cared for by every nurse, doctor, PA, psychiatrist, and even the food staff. I arrived feeling like a complete mess and left feeling stable for the first time in a month.
The food was great, too! If I ever have another emergency, this is absolutely where I’ll return. I just want all of you to know how deeply appreciated you are. Your work isn’t easy, but you truly heal and help people every day. Special shoutout to Nurses Noura, Bill, Chloe, Z, Erin, Eboni, Ciarra, and Chelsea. If you have any suicidal thoughts go see a counselor, or go to mercy/ hospital but only if you don't feel safe at home. Don't make suicide into a joke. It's a serious thing. My mother has been coming here to receive treatment, the staff is really caring, the service that we have received in general has been amazing. The doctors and nurses at the hospital we're very nice and took good care of me. The facilities are dated and in need of many repairs. I was in different rooms throughout the hospital and the TVs did not work properly. One of my rooms had water running out of the bathroom across the floor. SSM needs to spend some money rehabilitating the hospital.

I absolutely LOVE this place ❤️ Dr. IAN Pearson actually listens and isn't an interview and out doctor he will be thorough with you and help you figure out what you need to actually cope with everyday life! Ever since my medications have been correct, I've been clean and sober I have 1yr and 6 Months. This places saved my life! Madeline my counselor was amazing and super sweet! And the groups are actually helpful at 1st I felt as if I was in like a kindergarten class but I kept on going and it actually started to get better. I recently finished treatment at the Aviary. It changed my life. All of the counselars truly care about every single clients and are awesome helping you in anyway they can. The nurses are super awesome and friendly. The coaches care and run their butts off helping all the clients. The admin office will work their butts off helping in anyway they can(especially hounding your hr department at work to get your insurance info when they drag their feet getting the info sent off). SSM Rehabilitation Hospital has to be the BEST CHOICE for PT and OT in the St. Louis area. I cannot imagine any other facility would be as thorough, caring, and determined to get me back to 'normal' after my surgery and hospital stay.
I have to name the EXCELLENT staff by name as the TRUE heroes need to be recognized. First, the outstanding nursing staff; Winnie, Elham, Lem Lem, Krystal, and Shayla (Shay). They were very attentive and never ONCE made me feel that I was 'bothering' them even when I needed them at midnight or noon.
The techs that went beyond the call of duty and must be named are Lyn - who was always friendly and smiling. This can make a person's day when spending multiple days in a facility. Also, Lea and An'drea were cheerful and attentive. These employees seem to truly LOVE what they do! Thanks to all them! Thanks to SSM Rehab Hospital for hiring people who really CARE about your patients!
Physical Therapy Staff I need to recognize are Megan who was my primary therapist. She was so supportive, understanding, and encouraging. She knew exactly what I needed and 'PUSHED' me to go further and do more than I thought I could! Jeremy and Candace stand out as techs who were there when they were needed and went beyond the call of duty to serve their patients. I will never forget their kindness. The entire staff was so supportive!
Amy, my case manager, was very helpful and set up everything for my return home. She was there to keep me informed. At the time of my illness, Amy was working alone as they were short handed in the Case Management department. She was managing everyone on the floor. I'm going to guess there were almost 50 people at that time on the floor. Her management and people skills shone through at a time when it had to be stressful!

In my opinion, SSM Acute Rehab deserves the highest rating we can give. Let me provide you with a quick overview. Note, I was there over a 3-4 week period.
Doctors: Each patient has a Rehab and Medical doctor who came to see and speak to me everyday of my stay. They were professional and best of all compassionate.
The insurance team fought my insurance company to ensure I received the best care possible and extended my stay 3 times.
The Nurses and Techs responded quickly and worked to assist me with all my needs. I was treated like royalty.
Admittedly, the food was less than satisfying. However, I did not come to eat. I came to work and walk again.
By far, I save my greatest praise to the OTs, PTs and their Techs. Each day I was asked about my goals for that day. You would be surprised how quickly you heal if you accomplish daily goals. This group of individuals outlined expectations and assisted me with encouragement, support, and a sense of compassion I have not witnessed in a long time. My condition was complicated from the beginning, but the team found a way to tackle the road blocks and clear a path for me to succeed! Even though I have a ways to go, I did walk out of the hospital and accomplished my goal with Everyone's help. I cannot thank St. Mary's Rehab enough for the support and compassion. I now think of them as family. These are wonderful people who treat each patient like their own family. I cannot thank them enough.

Paije Douglas is absolutely AMAZING!!! I’ve never met anyone who is so devoted to helping people get clean! If you are truly looking to change your life and stop abusing opiates, I highly recommend coming to St Louis Metro Treatment Center and joining the IOP program that she is in charge of. She goes out of her way to get people set up with medical detox and then sober living and/or whatever other arrangements you need in order to be in a safe place so you can start healing! Compass Health is an under knownabout God Send..A well thought out Total Health Network, that has serving points for the total human experience... Body (Primary Care Physicians) Mind (Physchiatrics) Soul (Substance Use Disorder) "Dental" Care on Site; and maybe "Vision Care" coming in the future... They are able to go into the field with company vehicles and visit clients, and also provide rides to the headquarters for in person care and classes, which is of the utmost importance for the downtrodden and less fortunate .. My Counselor is Terra Trent, a very intelligent, wonderful sweet soul, with great insight to the human condition and a special nurturing side that always shines through her soul... My Community Support is Michelle Wapple, a more perfect job she couldnt have found... Caring and Loving and Kind, is what the job calls for, and she is that PERSONIFIED... They never make you feel like you are just a paycheck for them, and are just putting in their time till their next break and clocking out time... They should add an "ION" on to their name ... Just wanted to come on here and leave an update since my last review. I only have one thing to say… BRING BACK Becky!!!
The only reason I’m giving this place a five star rating is because of Nancy, Becky! These nurses are amazing and go above and beyond. They are so overworked and at times very unappreciated by some of the clients. High five to Mark and Jeff as well these two councilors are handling very heavy caseloads but still manage to show that they love their job and want what’s best for their clients. They also know how to handle the hot headed ones 😂🙋🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️ the reasons I could have given it a one star:
Their drug lab sucks!! 50 percent of the time their results are wrong. You could be 100 percent clean and the test could come back positive. They know the lab sucks but says there is nothing they can do about it… when they send it back to be retested then most of the time the true results will come back. But now they have this new rule where you have to pay 35 dollars for your test to be retested!! It’s a money making scam!! They tell you the lab sucks and most of the time will get your results wrong but now wanna charge you 35 to have it sent back!??!? They know they’ll make hella money! What pisses me off is for the one such as myself who are on probation, this could potentially get me in huge trouble! Thank god I get hair follicles from the state! For the love of God New Seasons… GET A NEW LAB!!

The counselors in Northbound always guided me in my journey in emotional sobriety, they helped me to make this processes comfortable for me. The intensive out patient treatment program allowed me to have a firm foundation in recovery, for it I recommend to all the people who are struggling against the addiction come to this place, they will provide you with the help that you really need.

I recently finished treatment at the Aviary. It changed my life. All of the counselars truly care about every single clients and are awesome helping you in anyway they can. The nurses are super awesome and friendly. The coaches care and run their butts off helping all the clients. The admin office will work their butts off helping in anyway they can(especially hounding your hr department at work to get your insurance info when they drag their feet getting the info sent off). The kitchen staff are awesome, they work so hard fixing good food and they deliver. Love ya Miss Debbie!!!! Nothing bad to say about the Aviary. Thank you so much for helping me. As a former client I have to say Aviary was a life changing experience. The staff really cared for us and was always willing to help. I learned so much from them. Addiction is a killer. I’m so happy and grateful for my experience there. I’m still sober and living my best life in recovery. I would recommend the Aviary to anyone.

Dr. Shiue is an amazing physician, she was my son's pedestrian, I remember him getting sick and i would call and she would always see him I know she worked through lunch and stayed late as well. He was 21 and no longer technically her patient but had not seen an adult Phyician and was going to be over a week to get in, I called the office with my concerns, they spoke with her and she saw him through her lunch break, Dr. Shiue also called the adult Doctor and got him in the next day, turned out he had a really bad case of pneumonia. Dr. Shiue also gave me her private cell number to call her if I needed anything. She is totally an amazing person as well as a physician, she really cares about her patients and the parents as well, she has called me after hours to follow up on my son. It was very hard to move on to an adult physician. I can not say enough about the staff and her. My son is now grown and is expecting a little one of his own and of course Dr. Shiue will be her Doctor. I trusted her with my son and now my Granddaughter 100 %. Dr. Shiue is one in a million and can't say how happy I am she will be seeing my Granddaughter

This clinic exists to provide Methadone Maintenance Treatment within the parameters established and enforced by the Federal Government. Many people are misinformed or simply lack the skills or desire to become familiar with the policies inforced by agencies such as the F. D. A. or the D.E.A. many of the laws governing Methadone dispensaries are antiquated and lack adequate reform for many reasons from Pharmaceutical companies holding methadone back so that they can make more money with newer drugs (Suboxone, etc.) to a generally poor perception of what MMT is (people believing that MMT patients are trading heroin use with methadone and getting high on methadone). Once you have a complete understanding of what MMT is you can form your own opinion about her clients are treated at this clinic or any other. Many clients believe that the staff lacks empathy or that the clinic only exists to make money but if you do the research you will see that this is not the case. You get what you give.

I've been going since January and have had a great experience with the people and the clinic as a whole. My 1st day (intake) wasn't a painful drawn out process. They were All professional and on point with each level of the appointment and best of all I got to dose and got take home doses for the weekend the very next day when I came back for my second dose. I'm still going strong and SOBER (NO DOPE❣️) Thx so much for helping me

It’s not easy to get to this location on public transportation. However the extended hours make it more convenient than most states that close doors by 11am.
The fact that this clinic uses mouth swabs to test ending the humiliating practice of observed UAs is what sets this clinic above the rest.
If you do what you need to raise your privilege level to take home 2weeks to 30 days you won’t have to deal with the wait and chaos of others.
