I used to be depressed and suicidal, but now I'm only a little depressed and not suicidal at all. Tysm ilysm. And I hope you still have that picture of you. I'm crying rn if you actually respond. 🥰🥰🥰 I really want to go back even though I'm all better. If you have any suicidal thoughts go see a counselor, or go to mercy/ hospital but only if you don't feel safe at home. Don't make suicide into a joke. It's a serious thing. SSM Rehabilitation Hospital has to be the BEST CHOICE for PT and OT in the St. Louis area. I cannot imagine any other facility would be as thorough, caring, and determined to get me back to 'normal' after my surgery and hospital stay.
I have to name the EXCELLENT staff by name as the TRUE heroes need to be recognized. First, the outstanding nursing staff; Winnie, Elham, Lem Lem, Krystal, and Shayla (Shay). They were very attentive and never ONCE made me feel that I was 'bothering' them even when I needed them at midnight or noon.
The techs that went beyond the call of duty and must be named are Lyn - who was always friendly and smiling. This can make a person's day when spending multiple days in a facility. Also, Lea and An'drea were cheerful and attentive. These employees seem to truly LOVE what they do! Thanks to all them! Thanks to SSM Rehab Hospital for hiring people who really CARE about your patients!
Physical Therapy Staff I need to recognize are Megan who was my primary therapist. She was so supportive, understanding, and encouraging. She knew exactly what I needed and 'PUSHED' me to go further and do more than I thought I could! Jeremy and Candace stand out as techs who were there when they were needed and went beyond the call of duty to serve their patients. I will never forget their kindness. The entire staff was so supportive!
Amy, my case manager, was very helpful and set up everything for my return home. She was there to keep me informed. At the time of my illness, Amy was working alone as they were short handed in the Case Management department. She was managing everyone on the floor. I'm going to guess there were almost 50 people at that time on the floor. Her management and people skills shone through at a time when it had to be stressful!

In my opinion, SSM Acute Rehab deserves the highest rating we can give. Let me provide you with a quick overview. Note, I was there over a 3-4 week period.
Doctors: Each patient has a Rehab and Medical doctor who came to see and speak to me everyday of my stay. They were professional and best of all compassionate.
The insurance team fought my insurance company to ensure I received the best care possible and extended my stay 3 times.
The Nurses and Techs responded quickly and worked to assist me with all my needs. I was treated like royalty.
Admittedly, the food was less than satisfying. However, I did not come to eat. I came to work and walk again.
By far, I save my greatest praise to the OTs, PTs and their Techs. Each day I was asked about my goals for that day. You would be surprised how quickly you heal if you accomplish daily goals. This group of individuals outlined expectations and assisted me with encouragement, support, and a sense of compassion I have not witnessed in a long time. My condition was complicated from the beginning, but the team found a way to tackle the road blocks and clear a path for me to succeed! Even though I have a ways to go, I did walk out of the hospital and accomplished my goal with Everyone's help. I cannot thank St. Mary's Rehab enough for the support and compassion. I now think of them as family. These are wonderful people who treat each patient like their own family. I cannot thank them enough.

I highly recommend this hospital. My dad had a knee replacement. I liked how the staff texts during surgery so you know the progress of the surgery. The dr will call you after surgery and tell you how it went. All of the nurses he had were very friendly. Everyone is extremely nice.

I don't understand these negative reviews. I've never been treated better at a hospital or doctors office than I have at SSM DePaul. I broke my arm and needed surgery and I honestly have no negative feedback about my multiple visits. I have received multiple calls checking on me and at the least trying to accommodate my financial needs. Every doctor,nurse and receptionist has been very pleasant to deal with, and to top it off, genuinely seem like they care. I've avoided hospitals and doctors my entire adult life because of repeated negative experiences but this hospital has restored my faith in healthcare. I'm glad I live next to a great hospital

My husband and I have been patients here for the last 3 years. The staff truly does care and makes an effort to help you and support you. Miss Timmi, Morgan, and Sydney especially go the extra mile to help clients. The classes, couseling, an other resources are available to everyone and are what you choose to make out of them and use to your benefit. Dr. Pearson is a doctor we have been seeing the past 2 years there, and we like and respect hum very much. This clinic is very helpful in recovery. Its also very helpful in your physical and mental help as well. They offer a lot of support.

Just wanted to come on here and leave an update since my last review. I only have one thing to say… BRING BACK Becky!!!
The only reason I’m giving this place a five star rating is because of Nancy, Becky! These nurses are amazing and go above and beyond. They are so overworked and at times very unappreciated by some of the clients. High five to Mark and Jeff as well these two councilors are handling very heavy caseloads but still manage to show that they love their job and want what’s best for their clients. They also know how to handle the hot headed ones 😂🙋🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️ the reasons I could have given it a one star:
Their drug lab sucks!! 50 percent of the time their results are wrong. You could be 100 percent clean and the test could come back positive. They know the lab sucks but says there is nothing they can do about it… when they send it back to be retested then most of the time the true results will come back. But now they have this new rule where you have to pay 35 dollars for your test to be retested!! It’s a money making scam!! Dr. Shiue is an amazing physician, she was my son's pedestrian, I remember him getting sick and i would call and she would always see him I know she worked through lunch and stayed late as well. He was 21 and no longer technically her patient but had not seen an adult Phyician and was going to be over a week to get in, I called the office with my concerns, they spoke with her and she saw him through her lunch break, Dr. Shiue also called the adult Doctor and got him in the next day, turned out he had a really bad case of pneumonia. Dr. Shiue also gave me her private cell number to call her if I needed anything. She is totally an amazing person as well as a physician, she really cares about her patients and the parents as well, she has called me after hours to follow up on my son. It was very hard to move on to an adult physician. I can not say enough about the staff and her. My son is now grown and is expecting a little one of his own and of course Dr. Shiue will be her Doctor. I trusted her with my son and now my Granddaughter 100 %. Dr. Shiue is one in a million and can't say how happy I am she will be seeing my Granddaughter

They got my granddaughter in very quick. They accessed her bug bite, and it's nothing to worry about. While checking her out, the doctor noticed her throat looked like possible step throat, but luckily, it wasn't. The patient and her sister got Popsicles, which they loved, and a sticker on the way out.

It’s not easy to get to this location on public transportation. However the extended hours make it more convenient than most states that close doors by 11am.
The fact that this clinic uses mouth swabs to test ending the humiliating practice of observed UAs is what sets this clinic above the rest.
If you do what you need to raise your privilege level to take home 2weeks to 30 days you won’t have to deal with the wait and chaos of others.

This place helped SAVE MY LIFE. I showed up one day, joking ..is never get sober....I am standing here ...proof that if you do the work ..change is possible...I wouldn't have been able to do it without my father (R.I.P) MY AMAZING COUNSELOR OLIVIA.... MY SUPPORT SYSTEM... I CAME IN AND I NEVER LOOKED BACK...THERE ARE GOING TO BE HARD DAYS, BUT THEY WILL HELP TO TEACH YOU HOW TO GET THRU THEM EASIER....AND TO HELP YOU LEARN HOW TO STOP CLOCK WATCHING....THEY HAVE RESOURCES GALORE! IF YOU WANT A PLACE TO GO, THAT WILL ACTUALLY TRY AND HELP YOU...CFLS IS YOUR PLACE.... I GIVE 10/10 100 STARS 🤩 there has been bad days or situations there but things happen everywhere.
