I was at the ER yesterday & saw a Dr. King who I had seen before in January & he is the best doctor there. He is very thorough in what he does & check you out completely. I had a fractured collar bone & was having a lot of pain is why I went. Of course, he found that I had an UTI, plus he did an EKG., a breathing test & an ultrasound of my chest to see about what was causing all my pain. I was only there about 3hrs & felt like I got a complete physical exam. I highly recommend SSM

My visit to the pain management clinic at SSM Health was the same as always, it was SUPER! It's always wonderful, all the people there are always so nice to you, that's not my the case everywhere. All the doctors and nurses are always great and so nice to you, also, I have to admit , I Joanna Smith is my favorite person. She is sooo nice and positive to me and she always has an answer to my questions and for whatever problems I'm dealing with at any given time. I've been to a lot of doctors, and dealt with a lot of doctors, nurses and office workers in my life and you don't find the kind of joyful, caring and good hearted people that you do find at SSM Healthcares pain management clinic very often! They are truly a special group of people! I'm so thankful that I was lucky enough, actually BLESSED to find them when I needed them!

Compass Health is legit. They did not press me to get sober. They guided me into it. They used the teqniue of harm reduction. Seems weird and backwards. My Counselor is Terra Trent, a very intelligent, wonderful sweet soul, with great insight to the human condition and a special nurturing side that always shines through her soul... My Community Support is Michelle Wapple, a more perfect job she couldnt have found... Caring and Loving and Kind, is what the job calls for, and she is that PERSONIFIED... They never make you feel like you are just a paycheck for them, and are just putting in their time till their next break and clocking out time... They should add an "ION" on to their name ... There are some good and some bad things that had happened during my son's admission. I will start with the bad, as it was much less, there wasn't communication between myself and any of his care team. I never really knew what was going on unless my son directly told me during his phone calls. Not knowing what they were thinking about his status and what had caused him to get to the point where he was and how we could help him was upsetting.
Now to the good, and I will say after reading other reviews I was honestly TERRIFIED for him to go there. I sat in the ER with him my stomach in knots and scared not knowing what he would endure after they took him from me. After speaking with him the first day I knew everything was going to be ok. My son told me he was ok and that everything he knew I read was not accurate. My son said as long as they followed the rules and did what was expected of them everything was fine. That he was rather shocked how much they were fed, how they were able to do group, and mostly how they were treated with respect as long as they did the same.

The mental health program here is absolutely wonderful. The staff is compassionate and sincerely care about their patients. My nurses Bob, Alyssa, Jennifer, Annie, Jordan (and many more overnight nurses as well as doctors) were absolutely the best!! The recreational therapist Elisa was literally sunshine in human form.

The place is great, but a few if the check in clerks could use a different position that doesn't deal directly with the patients. Rudeness and a cold attitude is not warranted towards any veteran. Awesome Ministry, folks claiming it’s a cult need to use a dictionary, some common sense, and quit making reviews based off hearsay or biased/uneducated opinions. Nobody has to ask for money in a “parking lot” as one has claimed on here. Residents who are provided FREE boarding, food, utilities, transportation, love, support, ministry, and pastoral counseling are asked to commit to fundraising 2 days a week in front of approved storefront fundraisers…just like Salvation Army. The whole program is FAITH-based non-medical approach which is extensively told during intake/interview process. All residents are free to leave at anytime…even the court-ordered residents. The whole program is a voluntary commitment. I’ve seen hundreds set free from addiction over the span of 12 years. It’s not perfect and it’s not for everyone, that doesn’t make it a cult or a bad program. I’d like to see one person who has led a negative review give firsthand evidence or try to make such a grand effort themselves. It’s ridiculous. Over half of the accusations are so unfounded it isn’t funny. And the other ones are made from folks who got offended or actually didn’t want to change and want to blame shift in order to justify their lifestyle, wake up folks.
