So many improvements could be made . First, you sit in the same room for 13 hours a day. I nearly had bed sores on my rear end. Even if you are there voluntarily, you are treated as a child and always watched, making this place very prison-like. Very limited fresh air and outdoor time. 80% of staff are not recovering alcoholic/ addicts and have no empathy nor do they try to relate to the clients. I witnessed two "therapists" (daily) making fun of clients behind their backs , rolling eyes etc. so if you are looking for a place to heal and recover from your addiction this is not it. Not to mention, people come straight from jail, and they absolutely do not want to be there. This results in people smuggling drugs in from the jails. You can imagine the danger that this causes for recovering addicts who are not strong enough in their recovery to face their drug of choice yet. I do highly suggest recovery center of Montana it changed my life. I now have 19 months of sobriety after going there.

Butte, Montana | Montana Chemical Dependency Center (MCDC) is a private residential alcohol and drug treatment facility for men and women in Butte, Montana. It’s in a residential location with modern amen | Treatments Programs Payment Options | All but two of the TT’s were amazing, and seemed very invested in patient recoveries, My counselor was both empathetic and challenging. And created a safe space for me to be honest with myself and her. I have been to this treatment center three times now. Every time I have gotten a lot out of it, but this last time changed my life. Sometimes I think people confuse treatment with a vacation and a spa. But if you are willing to try and do the work necessary, they Will go so far for you. But of course, they are not gonna work harder than you’re willing to work. I can’t say enough about the Case Manager currently she went above and Beyond for me. She had a massive impact on my heart, My life and my recovery. My counselor Case Manager, and the Director all made me feel like a priority. And sometimes I struggle with myself a priority. This place teaches alot of useful skills like anger management, meditation, and focuses alot on mental health not just about staying sober. Teaches alot of relationship skills ect, Staff are all really kind and the rooms and showers are big and nice. It's alot better then I thought, but I wasn't forced into going, left early and didn't make it to graduate but been sober ever since the ninth and My relationships have improved let alone My physical health. I Absolutely Do recommend this place to anyone who wants to get sober and stay sober!! Thank you mcdc they saved my life! Hope I never need to go again but if I did I would go happily!

When I went to MCDC, I was younger and it was in the other building. I hated it when I went through and I was court ordered both times I did. Now that I have overcome my addictions through Gods grace, I can see where the staff was coming from and also understand that they are human beings that grow as they help us to. I would say that for anyone that is serious about getting sober, this is a good place and willingness to do what is best for yourself rather than what you want to do is a big part of recovery. Trust the process, and know as long as your looking towards the light, which I have come to know is the Son of God, Jesus Christ, than all the hard things will be used to strengthen you and make you more resilient.

Idaho Falls, Idaho | Pettingill Counseling Services offers behavioral health counseling services to adults and seniors and families to address and treat co-occurring mental health issues and substance use disorders. They offer two locations on 17th Street in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Near Transportation & Natural Landmarks They’re located in a one-story office complex | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Edit: Im changing my review because the of the promtness of the front office staff. They had reached out to try and amend my experience, which was extremely warming. I still want to leave my original view up for reference.
I wasn’t planning to leave a review, but I want to share my experience in case it helps someone else. I went to this practice on a friend’s recommendation, and I understand that not every therapist and client will be a good fit. I didn’t expect to be “fixed” after one session, but I did expect to feel heard or at least seen.
During my appointment the clinician appeared to rely heavily on an AI tool (ChatGPT). She sat with her back to me for most of the session, asked questions from a pre-written form, pasted my answers into the software, then read back a summary and asked, without making eye contact, “Does this sound like you?” This went on for more than half of the session. When she finally turned to me, she asked what my favorite color was, which felt out of place given how anxious and vulnerable I was.
Overall the visit left me feeling dismissed, discouraged, and more hopeless than when I arrived. I’m still looking for a provider who will listen, engage, and help me work through my concerns. If you’re seeking therapy, don’t be discouraged if your first experience was like mine, go elsewhere and keep looking until you find someone you genuinely connect with.

Wow! I can’t say enough good things about my experience from 2017/18.
Trama therapy was game changing from Tammy!! She helped me soooo much, she help my youngest! My oldest son was making progress but shut down and as he was 18 I couldn’t make him finish- wish he would go back. Honestly everyone could benifit from this type of therapy! It was game changing for me. I learned to have a voice, I noticed all my diagnoses ( mild bi polar, depression, ptsd, anxiety) all decreased by at least 70%. I found adding Jesus to my mindset w healing and Tammy understands everyone’s different. You want to put it into the higher power ( what is that for u?) God, the earth, elements , whatever and its personalized for your faith or spirituality. I manage all my diagnoses. They don’t manage me. I use my choice of things to help like oils, vitamins so on…….
Everyone has so kinda trama and need to learn to heal. This review is late, but still feel ppl need to know this service / therapy is game changing if your ARE READY TO HEAL, BREAK CYCLES/ generation trama!!!
