I’ve recently moved to another state and enrolled in their healthcare system, and even though I knew how good I had it. I miss it so much. I never had to wait for anything there I had calls immediately and if they couldn’t take care of ME care in the Community was on the phone with me within hours. The providers and the nurses were top notch and were always happy and very pleasant to be around. Thank you all so much for everything you provided for me in the last nine years. Lilli F 1 year ago I'm now 40 and came to this place back in 1999. I hated being there but to be fair didn't have much to complain about. Bt time is been there 6ish months I didn't want to leave. I learn so much being there that I'm still grateful to this day. I earned freedom to walk the grounds unsupervised with permission as well as helping give tours to potential clients. I rode horses often did cattle branding of calves of course and did artificial insemination. I did small engines and wood working along with horticulture which were all a blast. There was a lot that happened in the dorms with the girls but what do you expect when you have so many girls with sick am array of issues. A huge part of getting something from these programs is if you want to. If your ready to get better. The staff members were all fabulous I can't think of anyone who I didn't like. I always felt genuine concern from them. I was even given the privilege to go off campus 1x a week to do gymnastics. I still to this day have small decorated box given to me as a gift upon leaving from a staff member named Marilyn. When you opened it it has a tiny box with a small now that says it was filled with her love. It has the best ER staff I've dealt with in years, both as a patient and as a mother. My 19yo, who was the patient tonight, agrees. They were compassionate, did a full workup, and explained things thoroughly. The nurse also put an IV in more competently than the last few places either of us has been. Regarding the PA, my daughter says, "He was very thorough, explaining everything well so I understood what they tested for. He was very good at communicating. He was very kind and I felt comfortable the whole experience. I didn't feel like they were dismissive. He sat there and explained everything to me. They didn't just shove me out the door." At Elkhorn I made the decision to take charge of my life, I decided to stop surviving and start living!! Because I went in with an open mind and wanting to change and be sober and healthy …it worked . I have had my struggles since I have been out but there was not one time that I ever gave thought to go using . Now that I have been out I see why things were done the way they are done at ETC. and with anything in life if you want something bad enough you can have it . If you want to be sober you will take the tools with you and use them . My life is so amazing now and yes it all cause I went to ETC with an open mind and a mindset of wanting to change and live a better life then I ever thought I could . Well I would say it helped me in some ways. I would also say it really just depends. My experience with the staff was amazing and I felt like the ones I had on my unit truly cared about us kids. All the staff I have met have been truly supportive and kind. My only problem is that when I was there they would dose me up on all these different kinds of medications and when I would advocate for myself and tell the psychologist I didn’t want to be on all these high dosed medications because they make me sick, they would always ignore me or just dose me up more. I did have an incident where an other kid on the unit was being weird and inappropriate towards me. I told the nurses repeatedly and they never even did anything to correct this behavior or even make him stay away from me. Other than those 2 things my experience was overall good. I’ve been enrolled in two different VA healthcare systems the Montana VA healthcare system and the Travis W Atkins clinic in Bozeman are by far the best I’ve ever been to. I’ve recently moved to another state and enrolled in their healthcare system, and even though I knew how good I had it. I miss it so much. I never had to wait for anything there I had calls immediately and if they couldn’t take care of ME care in the Community was on the phone with me within hours. The providers and the nurses were top notch and were always happy and very pleasant to be around. Thank you all so much for everything you provided for me in the last nine years.

I've gone to dozens of different VA clinics and hospitals throughout MT, WY, and CO over the last 20+ years. The staff at this clinic have been nothing but helpful, courteous, good listeners (actually document stuff), etc. I've gotten consults, meds, and answers to questions.... not much more you could really ask for. They're good to go.

This place is the best. I've struggled with addiction on and off my whole life until I found ideal options. I've been clean 8 years thanks to them. They have no judgement when u come in sick and beat down from drugs and the world that comes with it. I lost everything while using drugs also lost myself. I have come to love myself and I have a home my family back. They really care about u and make sure you are taken care of without judgements like alot of other places id been to. They have nurse visits also so if need anything they are there for u. Michelle is my doctor and she is my she's so caring and so thoughtful and always ask about how you're doing and your family and if you need anything. Also the nurses I see weekly are the best they are also so caring and thoughtful a couple of them have been there since the beginning of my journey and I'm so grateful for all of the people at ideal options they have all changed my life. I enjoyed every single program about this place while I went there. I loved all my teachers and wished I could stay there.. But I did have a friend that went there who had his knees slammed backwards for a restraint and broken by a teacher there. There was nothing that could be done because of the legal paperwork that parents sign. 🤔 I enjoyed my time there tho. Just feel bad for other kids who weren't so lucky.

I'm now 40 and came to this place back in 1999. I hated being there but to be fair didn't have much to complain about. Bt time is been there 6ish months I didn't want to leave. I learn so much being there that I'm still grateful to this day. I earned freedom to walk the grounds unsupervised with permission as well as helping give tours to potential clients. I rode horses often did cattle branding of calves of course and did artificial insemination. I did small engines and wood working along with horticulture which were all a blast. There was a lot that happened in the dorms with the girls but what do you expect when you have so many girls with sick am array of issues. A huge part of getting something from these programs is if you want to. If your ready to get better. The staff members were all fabulous I can't think of anyone who I didn't like. I always felt genuine concern from them. I was even given the privilege to go off campus 1x a week to do gymnastics. I still to this day have small decorated box given to me as a gift upon leaving from a staff member named Marilyn. When you opened it it has a tiny box with a small now that says it was filled with her love. I'm not sure what has happened but, this place turned my life around and who know where it be today without it. So Thank you so so so much. Sorry for the delayed post lol.

I honestly can't say enough good things about this place. They actually cared about me as a person and helped me even though I didn't have insurance or the funds to pay. I called every other treatment center in the state, and even some in Colorado and Washington, but no one else would help me. I was desperate and close to the end. They were the light that came shining through the wreckage and the reason my sons will grow up with a father. They didn't just help me quit using; they helped me build a foundation of self-love, confidence, and peace that I never had before. They helped me realize my potential. I owe this place everything and I recommend them to anyone in that struggle. Rochelle is an amazing LAC. I know this was all God because her approach was exactly what I needed to save my life. The rest of the staff is so kind and uplifting, Marci is a wonderful, supportive lady and was a big part of my journey too. This place is absolutely life saving! The care the Case Managers and LAC’s take with their clients is TOP-NOTCH! Mandy has worked wonders for me personally so a HUGE shout out to her- just an amazing woman! The staff are literally Angels in disguise. The knowledge and care that the LAC’s share shows the loving people that they truly are; they love us for the people we are, not who we were. Living areas are great, the gym is stacked, the grounds themselves are open and friendly. I have a completely new outcome on life! I could go on and on about this Treatment Center! The entire process was good and fast considering I had a complicated fracture of my left wrist and had to have a CT scan because I smacked my head when I fell with no loss of consciousness. I'm absolutely shocked to see that this hospital only has 2.3 stars. It has the best ER staff I've dealt with in years, both as a patient and as a mother. My 19yo, who was the patient tonight, agrees. They were compassionate, did a full workup, and explained things thoroughly. The nurse also put an IV in more competently than the last few places either of us has been. Regarding the PA, my daughter says, "He was very thorough, explaining everything well so I understood what they tested for. He was very good at communicating. He was very kind and I felt comfortable the whole experience. I didn't feel like they were dismissive. He sat there and explained everything to me. They didn't just shove me out the door."

Unfortunately, if you are going here it's not by choice....I am her to speak on the aftermath of this program. I have a life today that has far exceeded my goals in early recovery. This program and some very amazing people within it, helped me grow and change in ways I am so grateful for. This was the wake up call I very desperately needed. When I was sentenced to elkhorn people told me you will not be the same person after that program "it changes you" (they didn't mean that in a good way) little did I know they were right!! I am a different person then when I went into this program. I have an amazing life; I have my kids back, I am buying a home, I have a college degree, a career, 5 years sober, and a life I've built that I am not willing to lose!! At Elkhorn I made the decision to take charge of my life, I decided to stop surviving and start living!! If you are reading this you probably have a family member here or maybe a stay here is possibly in the cards for you. If you lean into this program and take everything you can out of it, look at it as an opportunity instead of a consequence, you too can have the life you dream about (only far better).

The best thing that could have ever happen to me was being sent to elkhorn. I learned to much from them. Because I went in with an open mind and wanting to change and be sober and healthy …it worked . I have had my struggles since I have been out but there was not one time that I ever gave thought to go using . Now that I have been out I see why things were done the way they are done at ETC. and with anything in life if you want something bad enough you can have it . If you want to be sober you will take the tools with you and use them . My life is so amazing now and yes it all cause I went to ETC with an open mind and a mindset of wanting to change and live a better life then I ever thought I could . Went here 2 times one for acute and residential in 2021. Well I would say it helped me in some ways. I would also say it really just depends. My experience with the staff was amazing and I felt like the ones I had on my unit truly cared about us kids. All the staff I have met have been truly supportive and kind. My only problem is that when I was there they would dose me up on all these different kinds of medications and when I would advocate for myself and tell the psychologist I didn’t want to be on all these high dosed medications because they make me sick, they would always ignore me or just dose me up more. I did have an incident where an other kid on the unit was being weird and inappropriate towards me. I told the nurses repeatedly and they never even did anything to correct this behavior or even make him stay away from me. Other than those 2 things my experience was overall good. Definitely learned what I needed to and so much more from my experiences here!!

My daughter was 20 and started going down a real bad path. We hired Reflections Intervention Team in AZ to get her to MT. She was in a one year program and left a little early due to health reasons. I’m eternally grateful to the Hope Center in Helena. My daughter came back sober, and she is like a new person! Hope was able to do what we as a family could not accomplish here at home, even though we really tried ! The change in her is absolutely amazing 🙌 . I visited her twice and it was a great experience. I joined in for dinners which included a nice balance of carbs, proteins, salads. Their Airbnb for families is beautiful. Don’t let the “no licensed counselors “ reviews scare you because the counselors that are there are amazing women who want to serve and help these women. The only thing I would change is to give the girls an hour more of sleep .

Over the last 4 years I have watched my son walk in the doors as a broken, lost man to a husband, a full- time employee, a man that is respected in the community. We have utilized their services for a variety of yard cleanup projects several times now and they are always timely and do a great job - not to mention they have a great attitude and are always very personable. Dr Bakko I was referred to for administering multiple tests. As part of this he interviewed me and I am very poor at that. He helped keep me focused and many times had to patiently go back to probe deeper to clarify and really understand what I was saying. Because of my emotions, it’s like a freight train driving through his office. He’s gifted. The tests were administered in a very private, proffessional, clean, and quiet area. He is very organized and proffessional. He reviewed my answers and again made it very comfortable and open to discuss why I answered the way I did. He asked many different questions to understand my concerns. He was very patient and caring to make sure he understood my answers. A real medical proffessional!!!!
