My time at Curran-Seeley is, to date, the most important time in my life. Thanks to their empathetic, kind counselors, and elastic curriculum, I have been able to maintain my sobriety for over 5 years.
The coping tools that Curran-Seeley helped me cultivate have been priceless and crucial to my ongoing success in sobriety. Accepting personal responsibility is hard (which, I suspect is the cause of these lower ratings), but when I finished treatment at Curran-Seeley, I was emotionally stronger, had rediscovered my morals/values, and became a person whose skills and talents have been employed to help others who are struggling.
I owe my life to my time spent with Curran-Seeley.

Not a place to go for treatment. They are trained to tell you that your an out of control addict. 40 to 60 % of people who get caught with alcohol and drugs are proven not to be addicts. So I went in to detox 16 days ago… amber dayhuff was absolutely horrible as a dr practitioner, she checked on me twice but after 4 days she pretty much just didn’t care at all about me or what I was going through… thank god that Friday there was a older male DR there who saw what I was going through and immediately made med changes for me so I wasn’t suffering… then within 1 week she amber immediately wanted to move me to the woman’s wing and I was NOT ready yet.. I opted to take the chance of calling a taxi with no money and find a way to get home. Then my family kept my kids for two more days as I continued to go through wd, also the next day I went into ideal options and still had low levels of alcohol in my system which right there shows I wasn’t ready. Amber didn’t ask nor cared. On day 2 I started having severe hallucinations, and I did not sleep for two nights I was so scared I had to switch rooms 3-4times and one of the rooms was right next to the tech and nurse station where I could specifically hear them talking “crap” about me and what I was going through! Tracy was the nurse on staff! Very unprofessional. I will say this besides Tracy every other nurse was phenomenal… the whole place isn’t bad and I was able to safely detox which I am thankful for, with that being said…. I think they need to make some changes, I’m happy I chose to go home. Still sober and doing well!

So many improvements could be made . First, you sit in the same room for 13 hours a day. I nearly had bed sores on my rear end. Even if you are there voluntarily, you are treated as a child and always watched, making this place very prison-like. Very limited fresh air and outdoor time. 80% of staff are not recovering alcoholic/ addicts and have no empathy nor do they try to relate to the clients. I witnessed two "therapists" (daily) making fun of clients behind their backs , rolling eyes etc. so if you are looking for a place to heal and recover from your addiction this is not it. Not to mention, people come straight from jail, and they absolutely do not want to be there. This results in people smuggling drugs in from the jails. You can imagine the danger that this causes for recovering addicts who are not strong enough in their recovery to face their drug of choice yet. I do highly suggest recovery center of Montana it changed my life. I now have 19 months of sobriety after going there.

I can’t say enough about Michelle and the gals at our Billings Montana office. First and foremost, you are treated as a valued person the second you walk through the doors. They truly care and want to help. We all know that awkward, uncomfortable feeling of being judged and having that “addict” stigma thrown on us. There is NONE of that here. Went in for a gain I. For a dui I received in December. I have never had another dui. No other alcohol charges on my record. And anything drug related was dismissed in court. I had a friend pass early this year and told him this. He took it way to far and thinks I need extensive therapy. Told him how much I cut back on drinking due to that dui. They came back and said I was a high level two and need Extensive outpatient treatment haha 😂 it’s the cheapest place to get one but I wouldn’t recommend. My lawyer said that’s a joke after reading their review. I then got another gain thru another company and it was completely different. As they say im a very low level one. That needs minimal classes. They also said I’ve been doing great as now I haven’t been drinking what so ever. I think there might be a reason they only have one star.. go anywhere else for a real evaluation. Not one to fill their pockets due to lack of clients.

I enjoyed every single program about this place while I went there. I loved all my teachers and wished I could stay there.. But I did have a friend that went there who had his knees slammed backwards for a restraint and broken by a teacher there. There was nothing that could be done because of the legal paperwork that parents sign. 🤔 I enjoyed my time there tho. Just feel bad for other kids who weren't so lucky.

I'm now 40 and came to this place back in 1999. I hated being there but to be fair didn't have much to complain about. Bt time is been there 6ish months I didn't want to leave. I learn so much being there that I'm still grateful to this day. I earned freedom to walk the grounds unsupervised with permission as well as helping give tours to potential clients. I rode horses often did cattle branding of calves of course and did artificial insemination. I did small engines and wood working along with horticulture which were all a blast. There was a lot that happened in the dorms with the girls but what do you expect when you have so many girls with sick am array of issues. A huge part of getting something from these programs is if you want to. If your ready to get better. The staff members were all fabulous I can't think of anyone who I didn't like. I always felt genuine concern from them. I was even given the privilege to go off campus 1x a week to do gymnastics. I still to this day have small decorated box given to me as a gift upon leaving from a staff member named Marilyn. When you opened it it has a tiny box with a small now that says it was filled with her love. I'm not sure what has happened but, this place turned my life around and who know where it be today without it. So Thank you so so so much. Sorry for the delayed post lol.

All but two of the TT’s were amazing, and seemed very invested in patient recoveries, My counselor was both empathetic and challenging. And created a safe space for me to be honest with myself and her. I have been to this treatment center three times now. Every time I have gotten a lot out of it, but this last time changed my life. Sometimes I think people confuse treatment with a vacation and a spa. But if you are willing to try and do the work necessary, they Will go so far for you. But of course, they are not gonna work harder than you’re willing to work. I can’t say enough about the Case Manager currently she went above and Beyond for me. She had a massive impact on my heart, My life and my recovery. My counselor Case Manager, and the Director all made me feel like a priority. And sometimes I struggle with myself a priority. It meant the world to me.
