My Mom had a wonderful experience at Stony Brook Eastern Long Island hospital! The care she received was exceptional! We were so impressed with how quick the response time was by the staff when the call button was pushed. The staff at every level was kind, caring, patient and professional. They went out of their way to make my Mom’s extended visit comfortable. Mom appreciated some of the staff’s humor and detailed explanations. My mother is legally blind and the staff went out of their way to help guide her with meals and walks with lots of detailed verbal cues. I never thought I would review a hospital but I had to do this one. I’ve been going to ELIH sporadically since I’ve lived in Greenport 20 years ago. And I’ve had experiences ranging from bad to okay to good.
Unfortunately, this morning, I had to go to the ER again at 3 AM- 9am. Every single staff member, Nurses, doctors, radiology, and reception, they all treated me amazingly. Of course it was a horrible time for me, but they all were nice and receptive and understanding. Normally, I do anything I can to get out of going, which I’m sure is what everybody does, but I had to bite the bullet. Probably one of the only times I don’t regret that I went.
Truly, it was the best experience I’ve ever had in the hospital. The ELIH staff deserves all the praise!!!
