I started this journey actually 23 years ago when I was in the “dig” hole for 9 months as an ESU cop. Over the years you try and put it to the side after all funerals you were at and never going to the memorial l, and just trying to not face it. Then the nightmares start. Then the alcohol to try and cope after working a midnight tour ,”who you kidding Will”. Yea it’s fun to drink, but not when people start saying hey, this isn’t you. You’re being a jerk. Oh no. I don’t want that to be me. So the best people came to the rescue to help me. I must say after using since 2005 i got clean shortly after joining there program the staff is like family the clients are very diverse from all races and walks of life and gives the place a great vibe for recovery i was able to go down on my dose of opiate blockage medication (methadone) monthly.

After more than 10 years on methadone I finally decided I was ready to taper. A lot of people never do which is fine but for me it got me stable enough to work and I wanted to carry on with my life. this felt nothing like the usual methadone clinic. it was a private sort of feel and I never felt like dr.leers or my counselor was every watching the clock./ tthey were just there to help.

East Coast Recovery is amazing! It’s amazing because the people that work there are incredible and they care very much about seeing clients succeed. I initially planned on being at East Coast on a week to week basis, not knowing how it was going to be before I got there. The service I received and the help I got far exceeded all of my expectations. I ended up staying for over three months. I have nothing but positive things to say about Seafield. It basically saved my life and has guided me to a much healthier and happier way of living. I have 1 year sober, and I give much credit to this facility for getting me so where I am today. I have been coming here since they opened. It's a very clean, new office. They have a lab on site and if you go in the A M they send your blood draw up to VA North Port and the lab work is ready the next day for your appointment at North Port VA.

I give them five stars because I am diabetic and they on it like definitely on it. The only thing I don’t like is back to back appointments. I do not receive Medicaid and this is out come from my pockets so financially it hurts a little bit but as for the doctors, they perfectly great great, the only thing I said is back to back appointment for the same thing with different doctors but other than that, they absolutely great
