My son has been working with Morris, a Recovery Coach at Mountainside for the past eight months and the experience has been exceptional for us both! Morris truly understands how to support recovery in a real world, day to day way. The coaching goes further than check-ins. It includes accountability, life skills, emotional support, and sometimes honest hard conversations. My son has learned how to manage challenges, make healthier choices and is learning how to stay focused on his long-term goals. The progress he’s made has been remarkable and I credit much of that to the consistent well informed coaching he receives. Not only does Morris provide coaching to my son, his expertise extends to me as well. He is highly responsive and always follows through. Mountainside’s Recovery coaching is more than a service. It feels like it’s a true partnership. As a mom navigating this process, I am grateful for the guidance, structure, the encouragement and situational advice Morris provides. I would recommend their coaching without hesitation to any family who’s looking for meaningful sustained support around sobriety. This has made a significant difference for my family. Early recovery, albeit exciting, can be fragile, and I cannot imagine having gone through this experience without the coaching Morris provides.

My daughter’s recovery coach Jeanine Ierardi, was amazing!!! She was the best that Mountainside could offer as a recovery coach. She went far and beyond helping and supporting us through the most difficult time in our lives. She saved our daughter’s life!!! Id love to give these guys a 5 but recently I was dropped due to insurance. ( I have medicaid. Which makes me less fortunate then others who pay for there insurance) so after about a year and a half. Outside of that the groups are excellent the facilitators truely care, and the people who are the ones that really make the groups they are great. I thibk due to the telahealth aspect people are more willing to dig into there traumas and passed. I can only hope they 1 day accept medicaid again not only for me but all the other addicts and alcoholics who cant afford insurance to 1 day be able to receive treatment in the same manor I did.

Choice point was such an amazing place to focus on my recovery they helped me so much to focus on my recovery helped me stay clean and also helped me become a better person I will definitely miss this place ❤️thank u to my counselor melisssa Darrien and my peers in group and all the counselors and staff at choice point for helping me be me again ❤️best rehab I ever been too ❤️thank u so much

Excellent therapists who seem to really care. From time of intake until you are actually assigned a therapist was quite fast. The therapists are compassionate and experienced.

I enjoyed the entire time that I was being prioritized with the best of care and attention for my addiction and mental wellbeing and I was able to get discharged in a positive multifaceted mindset which encouraged my mental state for a positive outcome while also being prepared with the correct tools to ensure that I am able to succeed in my battle with addiction, depression and anxiety.

Words cannot explain how great this program is and the positive influence it has had on my family member’s life. Staff are accommodating, supportive, patient and extremely professional. The entire environment encourages personal growth and long-term sobriety. I would absolutely recommend this program to families looking for support for a loved one struggling with addiction.

After a stressful experience elsewhere with an enlarged thyroid that was affecting my voice and swallowing, I came to Phelps Hospital and Northwell Health for a second opinion. The care I received from start to finish was extraordinary. Every physician I worked with—Dr. Hellerman (Endocrinology), Dr. Newman (Surgery), and Dr. Indich (Primary Care)—took the time to truly listen, explain everything clearly, and treat me like a person rather than a chart number. The team at Yorktown Imaging was equally wonderful, keeping my spirits high and putting me at ease during my pre-op MRI. On surgery day, everything ran like clockwork. Admissions was private and efficient. A patient care concierge explained the tracker system to my husband so he could follow my progress, and my prep nurse was attentive, communicative, and made sure he could sit with me before surgery. Dr. Newman took extra care to place the incision where scarring would be minimal, and the anesthesiology team kept me completely informed. Recovery staff managed my post-anesthesia nausea immediately, and Dr. Newman checked on me before I was discharged to rest at home. Post-op follow-up has been fantastic—calls were returned promptly, and one week out I have minimal pain, zero complications, and feel better every day. Thank you to the entire Phelps team for your skill, warmth, and genuine patient-first culture!

And if there were anyone else I'd thank,besides the Lord,for seeking life' purpose,I thank the generosity of spirit and the way they come from love first and of in their successes at making sure I can regain the trust of others because they trust in me. I've been a client at Carnegie Hill Institute for quite a number of years. I had been in treatment for years, and I can sincerely state that the treatment plans offered by the staff are the most effective that I have encountered so far.

What time is the last call patients are able to make?

In my humble opinion, this is the best place you can go for help. Whether detox or rehab. The staff is wonderful and kind, the accommodations are good, and the food is great! This is the best place you can go, when you need help. They REALLY! REALLY! REALLY! help. May God bless everyone who needs help, this is the best place to go!

To anyone considering coming here: if you’re serious about getting help, staying focused on your goals, and working on your sobriety, you can absolutely succeed here. One thing I learned is that treating others with respect goes a long way. This isn’t a resort, so don’t expect a different meal every day or luxury accommodations. Like any program, there are some downsides, but for me, there were far more positives than negatives. I left with valuable lessons, support, and hope. At the end of the day, recovery starts with you and with the mindset you choose to have. Thank you to everyone who helped me during my stay. I truly appreciate everything you did, and I wish you all nothing but the best.

Christian Health brought my dad back to life! After a a terrible two months in the hospital, my dad had weakened his swallow muscles and couldn’t eat or drink. He had a stomach feeding tube when he entered the rehab facility. He wasn’t walking independently but Amanda Burkart, the speech pathologist at Christian health brought so much energy, positivity and consistency in her care that my dad started eating and drinking and passed his swallow test. The nurse and care staff: Jetta, Nancy, Akina and Marwa were all so attentive and caring. I also appreciated Trisha who helped me manage all the follow up appointments for my dad. I can’t say enough positive things about Christian Healths Rehab staff. All the PT and OT staff were amazing too! Thank you for bringing my dad back to life! We are all so grateful!

Staff are very helpful and hospitality towards everyone

Watching someone you love struggle is incredibly hard, and Mountainside made us feel like we weren’t going through it alone. My partner was treated with kindness, patience, and real understanding every step of the way. The program, staff, and overall atmosphere helped him get back to himself again, and for that I’ll always be thankful. Truly a place that changes lives.

Christina is truly exceptional! She listens with genuine empathy and always makes you feel understood. Her attentiveness stands out, and even though it’s never expected, she consistently goes above and beyond to be available whenever support is needed. Mountainside has been one of the best treatment facilities that I have ever worked with. Recently, I had a family member complete inpatient and IOP and I was amazed at how well the team works with their clients. From the initial intake process to referral services, I would have been lost without them!

My journey with mental health has been a long ongoing battle my entire life. Two years ago I was in the most depressive state in my life not leaving my room and isolating from everyone. I arrived at silver hills mental health residential program scared and terrified of what might happen to me. The first night I was there I wanted to leave when the nicest security guard sat with me and we just talked. I’ve never been comfortable with people in power based off of horrible trust issues with providers and them taking what I’m saying and using it as leverage but this wasn’t the case here. I felt heard and understood for the first time in my life for a long time and in that moment I realized this could be the place I can heal and gave it 100% effort. Ive learned all about DBT and cbt from past places but the way they teach it here and help you actually implement the skills into your daily life is unlike anywhere else. My team consisted of amazing providers who listened to me and genuinely wanted to help me get better so I could live the life I always wanted to. My relationship with family started to mend too while I was there being able to have productive conversations and spend some nice quality time with my mom. I felt the biggest weight slowly start to come off of me and for the first time in almost my whole life I had hope and determination to live the best life for myself. Now 2 years later I am living my best life possible working a career I love and have a partner and a cat! I honestly don’t have words to express how grateful I am for all the amazing help I received while I was here.

An amazing group of individuals helping those of us who not only want or need help, but are there helping us work through not only our addictions but emotions. 10 out of 10 Would recommend if you’re in need… pretty much anything that will make you feel better about yourself by helping you… understand yourself. And it’s nice to sit in a group of peers judgement free. There is nothing but love pouring out of this place. And as a side note after reading lower rated posts. I have no insurance and they have done absolutely nothing more than help me and be there for me. Please if you feel you need some help, give them a call. It’s worth it.
