I am from way out of town up in Maryland and didn't know what to expect from southern emergency services late at night. Everyone from the front desk intake to the nurses and the doctor were the absolute best. Everyone took the time to explain and answer questions while being friendly to me and my wife. The facility was very clean and technically up to date. Hope I don't ever have to come back but will be glad your hospital is close by if ever needed again. I just recently transferred to Suffolk Crossroads from Petersburg Crossroads and so far its been great. The staff at Suffolk is just as nice as the staff was in Petersburg. I would most definitely recommend Suffolk or Petersburg Crossroads to anyone looking to get help with their drug addiction. Hopefully your recovery will go as good as mine has or even better. We only played golf but it was a fantastic track. Always a bit windy when you’re playing on the Currituck Sound side of things. Not a long course but a very thoughtfully designed layout. Greens were in great condition. The bar at the turn was efficient and got us moving quickly to the back nine. Marshall’s were out ensuring pace of play. We got around as a three some in just over four hours. Could have been a bit longer but there was a foursome playing the front only that was kinda slow. We really enjoyed ourselves and will be back to play it again. I was surprised that there was no GPS guided/restricted carts. But truly not a big deal.

I've been getting treatment here for probably over a decade. Tideland, Vidant and ECU. Every single person that works there is nice to me and the front desk ladies always make me laugh. My psychiatrist and therapist are both wonderful. I'm not understanding the bad reviews at all. The nurses that check you in are very caring and listen to what you say. Sometimes CVS messes up my meds and Sarah is always on the case for me. Sorry for whoever has a bad experience but I love this place.

If you have medicaid (not Medicare)I would recommend Port Human Services, for your mental health needs like: medication or substance abuse services (which if needed you will be given meds and group) i just go there for mental health but from what I've heard they're groups are good too.

I am an alcoholic female who received my second DWI. Instead on inpatient treatment, I attended a substance abuse group and also individual counseling. I learned a lot about myself and my addiction.
