I recently moved from California to North Carolina. When I was in CA I had a good team of people I could go to so moving to NC I knew in order to remain mentally healthy I would need to find a new therapist. I was very pleasantly surprised when I came to Dream. I was matched with a great therapist and even the receptionists were friendly.
Another patient was in the reception area yelling and screaming at the ladies and they remained calm, compassionate, and professional. I have made a few friends since being here and have told them about my experience at Dream. I basically tell anyone who will listen. Thank you all for your help!

I really love going to Dreams. I just moved to the area a few months ago and heard about Dreams through a friend. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful. They got me an appointment the next day and I was able to meet with a very good therapist who's been helping me for the last few months. Just want to commend them on such a great job.

I am very satisfied with my experience at the ECU Health Beaufort Hospital. I drove from Georgia to visit my mother who was there at the hospital. The rooms were clean, and the nurses and doctors were friendly and knowledgeable. All the nurses kept checking on my mother throughout the day and night making sure she was ok. Everyone was very professional and very motivated to do their jobs to standards. The physical therapy staff were also very professional. I have absolutely no complaints as far as how my mother was treated while being there at the ECU Health Beaufort Hospital. Special thanks to the true professionals: Kristy, Darien, Shannon, Soos, Latoria, Racheli, Caroline, Eric, Zola, Jeff, Ms. Tuten. Thank you all!

Came to the ER with a distended belly and a lot of pain. Took a while in the ER more than 5 hours!! Once I was back there was not long till I saw a Dr. She was very thorough and trying to figure out what was going on with me and I was actually admitted to the hospital. I had a great team doctors upstairs that helped me get on the road to recovery! I was really impressed with Dr Syed and he was very knowledgeable and had the best bedside manner which helped a lot !!

I love Amy Howard. I first started seeing her when I was discharged from a psychiatric hospital due to being suicidal. From day one Amy was so patient with me. She always tells me that if I need to see her she will fit me into her schedule. She is aware of my medical conditions, and considers that when she prescribes my medicine. Greenville, North Carolina | For more than 50 years, the Walter B. Jones Alcohol and Drug Abuse Treatment Center has been a Greenville, North Carolina mainstay. They’ve been serving the local community since 1969. They offer various inpatient and outpatient services to address the needs of their clients including outpatient medication assisted treatment and inpatient detox. | Treatments Programs Payment Options | The head doctor there pissed me off and I love him for it! I checked myself in not knowing I was committing to a minimum of 72 hours. Once admitted, you are stuck for 72 hours. You have to sign a waiver stating you release them of liability if you leave before they release you. I was furious when I found out and immediately signed the release so the clock would start.
The next morning I woke at 6-7 am with the doctor and a few others standing in my room. He said “ You have a chance to beat this if you give me time to wean you off alcohol. If you leave too soon you will probably have severe withdrawals and drink again. Give me more time to care for you properly. You have my word that I will get you discharged as soon as possible.”
I agreed. I felt frustrated and stuck, but I stayed. I thank God I did! Today I am 43 days sober. 45 days ago I didn’t know if I could get sober and make it stick. If I had left too soon, who knows what would’ve happened?
The staff was amazing. One of the nurses (a blonde lady) was quite rude and seemed to only be there for a check. The rest were amazing. I can imagine dealing with a bunch of us going through a mental and emotional roller coaster has to be frustrating for them, yet they seem to really enjoy their work and seem to care about you.
If you need help, these people are great. Their program works if you stay and work with them. Give them the time needed to help you. Also make sure you have support when you leave. I chose AA and it has made all the difference. Treat sobriety like your life depends on it because it does. Get to a meeting daily. Until you have a solid foundation, nothing else matters anyway.
