I love Amy Howard. I first started seeing her when I was discharged from a psychiatric hospital due to being suicidal. From day one Amy was so patient with me. She always tells me that if I need to see her she will fit me into her schedule. She is aware of my medical conditions, and considers that when she prescribes my medicine. She is very serious about what she prescribes. I thank God for her.

I m an infrequent user of this CBOC but my experience is much more positive than what some have written. From the moment Dr. Thomas arrived she has handled my issues expeditiously and correctly the first time. Her nurse returns calls the same day and is results oriented. I was here before CBOC came to town. Trust me, don t knock a local VA facility that so many dedicated officials worked so hard to bring to us for our benefit. No, like the military, they re not perfect but from my perspective they are dedicated professionals grinding through each and every day in the most bureaucratic agency of the US government. Give em a chance to help you, they will! Godspeed

They offer various inpatient and outpatient services to address the needs of their clients including outpatient medication assisted treatment and inpatient detox. | Treatments Programs Payment Options | My son was living in a ditch, more specific, in the open, uncovered ground swell that feeds a culvart. He is a heroin addict and went to Wilmington to get into The Healing Place. After 60 days of spinning his wheels, we decided to help (not force) him. Not to self: Heroin really does not allow a person to make logical decisions or take logical steps to accomplish something major. I became involved when I realized this and helped guide him. At least, I made contact with most of the people he had and stressed his situation.Crisis Center wrote his referral late on afternoon, WBJ's Medical Director approved it that night or the next morning, and by next night, my son was at Walter B Jones. They have answered the phone every time I called and were very helpful in explaining the entire process. The staff are exceedingly helpful and nice. My son called last night. He sounded good and in a few days, we hope he will be checking into THP for their 9-mo recovery pgm. I recommend WBJ for anyone who needs short-term detox.

When I was a patient here in the past I thought the staff was amazing. They really seem to care. That's not always the case in faculties that are private owned for profit. Ms. Wallace in particular was great, also Maria, Ray, and Paul. Dr. Brosco as well. In general they have good people working there.I don't go there anymore but my review is for outpatient. Inpatient is where most of the bad reviews come from. That's a separate building.

Did the 90 days in fall of 2019. The program basically focuses on Addictive and criminal thinking patterns and the ones who give it a chance will get something out of it. Mr. Ray was my counselor and from day one was fair to all and a good , down to earth counselor. The concerns process was a blast and I can talk all day here but words can't explain the experience you just have to go if given a chance. The Key to the Universe;Revelation One NineteenWrite down a brief account of your day, your problems that day, and a list of tasks to do the next day.1985 Paul NoblinAll walls will fall.It is the best thing that has ever happened.Good food should be:1. Nutritious.2. Delicious.3. Aesthetically Pleasing.4. Easy to prepare.&5. Cheap.KJVWarm Regards... Paul.A Footnote:Read Rev. 1:19 (KJV)."Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;"Write down the past, present, and future.Align your inside mind with the outside world (reality including Christ), and you will be One with All.I was treated like a King at Cherry Hospital. The food was great, but we weren't able to grill steaks like we wanted to. However, we wrote a letter to the Cook and everyone in our ward signed it. The next day, we were served the best hamburgers that we have ever tasted. The lawn was a great place to meet new friends. Bring your own pillow because pillows are of high demand. Mostly, we watched TV, and could change channels if everyone agreed. Medicine has changed a lot since a decade ago. They balanced my medication in two weeks. The nurses really cared for us, but expect a short doctor visit. The staff is over worked and underpaid, but they go out of their way to create a pleasant experience. For me, the best part is the friends I made. They kept us busy with classes. In group therapy, I did not know how many people had the same problems that I had. Because beds are short, you can expect to leave in short time. As soon as your medicine is adjusted, and you attend classes that teach you how to cope, you are gone. Some people have been there a long time because they simply cannot take care of themselves in the real world. You can't smoke. This is a puzzle for me, because nicotine has been proven to calm the voices if someone has schizophrenia like me. Coffee is available, but it is made from peanut skins and contains no caffeine at all. It is useless to ask for nicotine patches or gum. If you you read the medical stuff about patches and gum, you will find that these products are non-addictive. What gives? If you want a patch or gum, all you have to do is to ask a nurse. I find it very helpful that they make sure that you have a safe place to go to when you leave. They also make sure that you continue to get help with an out-patient treatment and support system. I could go on and on about Cherry Hospital. They taught me how to take care of myself. I dropped all my old friends, and now have new ones. It is just a fad, but you might like to bring your favorite cup or blanket. Everything you need is provided for you, but sometimes you need to ask. They explained why I had to take my medication, and that was my major problem.
