Courtney (works somewhere in the building) is extremely kind. Laura Taylor and Christine Hoener absolutely saved my life. They are the best care team in my life. They are both genuinely concerned about me. They treat me like a human and I’m actually heard by them. If Christine ever leaves, I don’t know what I would do. When I first met her she saw I was in crisis without me opening my mouth. It was the first time I felt like someone believed me. She listened to me and gave me the correct diagnosis!
Laura Taylor is kind and caring. I can’t say enough good things about her. I am so fortunate to have Laura as my therapist. I see many have horrible experiences at mental health.
My only bad experience is with a lot of those front desk staff on the 4th floor. I even had to swallow air real hard not to lose my composure. I often wonder why do they bother working at a place while adding to people’s traumas. A lot of them behind that window have absolutely no compassion. The 3rd floor staff have been very kind.

When i first moved to nc stephens outreach center truly helped me. they took me in and listened to my issues and helped me get with a psychiatrist to keep my prescriptions i had in florida before i was forced to relocate. During covid i was nervous to go to the monthly reviews and unfortunately they had to cut service to me because of it. I wish i wouldn't of been so scared at that point but my wife had an auto immune disease and was terrified id bring it home to her and not know it. I'll never ever forget their genuine hospitality and willingness to get me on the right foot and aside from missing the appt that forced the dr to end treatment they did everything they possibly could for me and if i could give 6 stars i would.

I have been involved with Stedman Wade Family medical in Stedman NC for 15 months. I highly recommend them due to the love and care that everyone shares with each patient and their loves ones. Just always keep in mind Stedman Wade Family Medical center is open at normal business hours for a quick and availability to been seen with a medical professional for any medical needs or concerns. I can't thank Peggy Lombardo (Alumni Coordinator) enough for saving a family member's life. She befriended "Will" long before he was willing to seek help. He was never alone in life because she checked on him regularly and gently coaxed him into getting the help that he desperately needed.
Approximately 7 months after reaching out, Will made the decision to better his life by accepting Peggy's offer of help. Once his decision was made, Peggy instantly started moving mountains to get him the help he needed. She was in daily contact with his family offering her advice, supplying helpful contact information, and even talking him through his fears when they became too great and he wanted to run.
As a result of Peggy's unrelenting quest to help Will, he has received a Certificate of Completion from the Midwood Addiction Program where he received counseling, housing, a sense of community, independence, and gradually took control of his life again.
A little over a month after graduating, Will has found employment and is ready to start this new healthy chapter in his life. When asked if he ever talks to Peggy anymore, the answer is "yes! she's full of valuable resources.".
How do you thank someone who has saved the life of someone you thought was lost forever? There is no repayment plan that could ever be enough for this angel on earth. Peggy will always be our angel. She truly has an amazing gift and we are forever in her debt.

Great place! Coming into this I was a little skeptical about being treated well. The staff and therapist took their time with me, to tend to my needs as a new patient. I had some bumps along the way until I met Evie Dillard. She was so helpful to me by giving me extra resources to get ready to exit treatment. Lemme tell you about the housing situation 1st.
I read the good reviews and the horrible and the bad kinda concerned me.
I can tell you the bad was not only exaggerated but most just someone salty and spreading total BS.
There are no rodents and I've never been to a house that had zero bugs not even a fly before I got here, not even my father's house. Ok so these 2 floor some with a upper smoking/ lounge deck are nice nice! 4 bedroom 3 full double sink bathrooms , two with walk-in shower , I bath / shower and a half bath by living room. It's fully stocked with any pans coffee pot anything you need.
The staff are some of the nicest ppl and you absolutely get to know them.
You are treated pretty much how you treat them. Just be kind!
Midwood center was the one I went to and the staff there are always awesome. If you need something just speak up, I've seen ppl come through and expect everyone to be mind readers.
I would list everyone I love at Harmony but I'm horrible with names but there are standouts.

She had my back and actually drove to Salvation Army and helped me get insurance, talked me into Salvation Army in first place and bought my broke ass two packs of smokes
She is absolutely a gift from God and deserves to be the highest paid at Harmony!

Dr. Sheryl Joyner is the epitome of professionalism, wisdom, and warmth. Equally, those who work with Dr. Joyner are a joy! Usually, I have "white coat" syndrome when I visit the doctor, and the anxiety elevates my blood pressure. However, nurses like Rashida King had me laughing and at ease in the short walk from the reception area to the doctor's office--no high blood pressure!

They treat you like a person and they really want to help you succeed, never judging you for your past mistakes. I've been to most all clinics in Charlotte, this is by far the best one.

I’ve been to in-patient treatment 9 times; but ACE is in a class of its own. ACE taught me that I am responsible for my own recovery and offered the support and guidance necessary for me to learn how to heal. Where do I start, first let me say finding mental health help for my husband was an extreme challenge being that he doesn't have true substance abuse issues. However, when I was placed in contact with Harmony Recovery Center OMG! Ms. Evelyn Contacted me, and she had done all the leg work on her side and let me know in detail all that was needed from me to get my husband admitted. Needless to say, the transition was smoother than butter! In a matter of hours not days he was in! They stayed in contact with us through our travels. The staff was super welcoming and supportive! Honestly Ms. Evelyn has made this whole experience for me one of comfort and ease! It's never easy to leave the ones you love in the hands or care of strangers whether they are professionals or not, but Evelyn took all that away with her kindness, willingness to go above and beyond, her compassion, her empathy.
