I'd love to say that Jeanne Brown and Thomas Graber did my brother and I a favor by keeping us from our schizophrenic abusive father, but in fact, the opposite is true. Instead of keeping us out of harms way when Judge Thomas Graber ordered my brother and I to attend counseling with Jeanne Brown at SCMH, Graber and Brown actually kept my brother and I from seeing our mother for 6 years (while she had cancer), giving our father all the permission he needed to take out years of physical and emotional abuse, even holding us hostage multiple times with rifles. You'd think a LCP could determine someone was schizophrenic, but not Jeanne. Even though my father had a diagnosis at the time and was receiving full disability, somehow that slipped under the mental health radar of the all-knowing Judge Graber and Jeanne Brown, and they worked together to ensure us boys were with a "strong male role model." He was strong alright. And he tormented us endlessly by beating us regularly for those 6 years. I hope they are proud of their work and gross negligence that actually made the abuse worse. I remember being in Judge Graber's chambers many times over the years, and he was a callous and heartless Judge who told my brother and I he did not care what children thought (even though we were very intelligent teenagers). It has to be tough to think you're saving kids or making things better and finding out you actually made things much worse. Your savior complex doesn't absolve you of poor judgement. If you want your kids to be healthy, stay far far away from this joke of a place.

When it comes to this sort of thing there are always going to be stressful days, and hard times, but this is a great clinic with good people and the environment feels safe. The ladies in the front are awesome, and are always kind and understanding and they have bright smiles even when it’s early in the morning. Angela is so easy to vibe with and she has a great sense of humor and a personality anyone can relate to. Ty (Theia) is an amazing counselor who is also very easy to vibe with and talk to, and that’s a big deal when it comes to being able to talk to counselors. She’s someone you feel like you can be honest with and be able to talk about any potential bad times and you won’t feel shamed or judged when talking to her. Cheryl is also amazing with great style and she will ease your mind when it’s time for a needle prick for labs. Thank you everyone at CTC for working hard every morning for us!
💚
*Also a shout out to Maria! We love seeing your bright, happy, kind face in the mornings!
*And a shout out to Bree, I watched her go out of her way to give a woman a needed pair of shoes because she was without, and it was definitely an act of kindness that should be recognized!

This is a great clinic with some great people working there. They did more than anyone could ever as to accommodate me and really went above and beyond to make sure I could get into MAT. I personally did not have long term success here but that has more to do with my not being ready as well as having unrealistic expectations for things that are out of their control and are policies and procedures that are actually written into law for how all MAT clinics are to operate. Everyone that I interacted with there provided a level of care that I was satisfied with. I did like some more than others but I feel it was more due to subjective factors and personal preferences. Considering the alternatives, this clinic and especially the staff there really do go above and beyond. I don’t think people realize that they are not required to do a lot of the things they do to try and help people. Like I can say I would not have been as patient with me if I were the one working there. They really made something that I was dreading and convinced would be horrible something that was in the end not too bad and much more pleasant and really a lot easier than I expected. I cannot recommend them enough.

Got right in and got the help I needed, over helped to be honest. Took a few visits though until I could see the doctor and nurse to get everything figured out with my medication which is understandable but took a bit long. When getting refills they tell me to call in a couple days early but when I do they wont at least call it in to pharmacy until I call the day its due and im out and then I wait and hope meds will be done that day. But other than that just got to be patient. Having adhd that's a difficult task ☺️

Wichita, Kansas | COMCARE – Adult Mental Health and Substance Abuse is an alcohol and drug rehab in Wichita, Kansas. They offer individualized care with partial hospitalization programs (PHPs) and outpatient treatment for alcohol, drugs, opioids, gambling, and co occurring disorders. Voluntary or court ordered adults benefit from evidence based therapies, homeless | Treatments Programs Payment Options | As someone who was terribly frightened of starting on the path to mental health recovery, Comcare made it very easy. The workers were patient with my inexperience and my intake was a breeze.
My greatest fear was that I'd be treated as an attention-seeker, or foolish for having done my research. Instead, my intake practitioner was thoughtful and receptive, and agreed with my basic coverage of things; though I am not a skeptic of therapy, it was not what I needed. Referral to a medication consultation was quick and painless, as was that appointment.
Above all, everything has been immensely affordable -- and more importantly, Comcare doesn't pressure you to cough up. I've never once been made to pay in office, or even asked to. I get my bill in the mail, and pay when I am able.

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma | Valley Hope is an addiction recovery center for adults in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. They offer outpatient services to help you overcome your substance use disorder and prepare you to reintegrate into society. They provide intensive and general outpatient treatment as well as continuing care and recovery support. Their intensive program lasts 12 wee | Treatments Programs Payment Options | This program played a critical role in supporting my sobriety. I began my recovery journey in the inpatient program at Valley Hope, and after completing that phase, I transitioned directly into their outpatient services in Oklahoma City. The outpatient program offers two formats—online and in-person—and I chose the in-person option because of the structure and connection it provides.
Throughout my participation, I developed meaningful relationships with fellow patients and benefited greatly from individualized counseling sessions. These one-on-one meetings were especially impactful, offering personalized guidance, accountability, and a safe space to process challenges. The group environment also fosters peer support, encourages personal responsibility, and helps individuals stay focused on their recovery goals.
I genuinely believe that the outpatient program was essential to maintaining my sobriety. The support, education, and community it provides make a significant difference, and I cannot overstate how valuable the experience has been. For anyone struggling with substance use, I strongly recommend considering this program as a resource for long-term recovery.

THIS place is a MIRACLE! Been going for years and I STILL can't believe it exists! I mean.......,this is a place who treats DRUG ADDICTS!!!!!!
AS
IF........,
They are Human Beings! It provides them a safe civilized place to acquire what they themselves(& the Dr. too of course) feel they need in about 5 minutes a visit. Like the convenience store. And with that outta the way most of them have nothing to do other than focus on Thier lives & get jobs & eventually start weening themselves off because that being treated with a little dignity and self respect(UNHEARD OF in addict culture) becomes the addiction! It's the one thing or technically 2 we've never felt. Dignity & Self Respect! It's why Liquor stores & gas station clerks aren't being held up and murdered on the news every other night by desperate homeless drug addicts on the news anymore like the good ol 80's & 90's!

My therapist Shobie, (at the time), lied on my mental health reports. Saying I quit my job, (did not and still have the same job), said I looked dirty and unclean, convinced my Mother to do things that she wouldn’t have done without an authority, like a therapist, telling her. Also said I personally reported these things as if I knew she was documenting and reporting everything as if I said those statements, (I did not report anything.) If you’re going to go into the mental health service, I recommend you actually do your job and not make the patients lives worse after traumatic experiences! If you’re looking for a good therapy place I don’t recommend this place at all.
