I was there years ago. A great place to be when you want help with your addiction. But you have to want to be clean and or sober or it won't work no matter where you go. But this place is the best rehab I was ever at and I was at 6 different ones great food too. Home-cooked meals. I highly recommend this place.

If I could, I would absolutely live at Cove Forge forever!! This place has helped me tremendously... the best facility by far for drug and alcohol dependency combined with behavioral health services in my opinion and I've spent a very good amount of time at others and at Cove Forge and yes, I'd recommend this program/rehab/treatment center for sure!!! Very professional staff who are friendly, kind, and caring at the same time! This place has been my life saver literally on several occasions, ya just gotta keep trying every time if you fail just try again and do not give up, ever! I went to call forage back in the 80s and I was addicted to two different kinds of drugs and I went to court and it was the best decision I could have made they helped me to live a new way a clean way and if you go there and you listen you can take something from there that can save your life just remember when you get there take the cotton out your ears and stick it in your mouth it just might save your life

After dealing with a few different MAT doctors in the area, I was beyond blessed to find State College Medical. Everyone I have dealt with in this office goes above and beyond to make sure the clients are taken care of, and well. They are kind, compassionate, and just good at their jobs. Highly recommend!

The staff are compassionate, knowledgeable, respectful, non judgmental & easy to open up to. You’ll feel warmly welcomed even as you walk into the front door. My guard was definitely up when I began at the clinic. I’ve been there for several years & don’t know where my life would be without the clinic & staff members I’ve grown to know & trust. I highly recommend this facility no matter where you are in the hopes of long term recovery. Recovery is a lot of work but oh so worth its success! I give praise where praise is due & this clinic deserves it in so many ways!

I love the staff! They put their lives on the line to make sure they are open for us. They are so dedicated and kind. The dosing nurse's are very patient and definitely put up with so much from some of the people who should be just thankful for the opportunity to be here.

I've been going to this clinic for 5 years now. I've been to the VA system in Oregon, Denver and Missouri prior, and in my experience the Altoona VA system and it's sister clinic in State College simply set the standard for what VA care should be. I've never known a more caring, competent, and proactive team of medical professionals than those at the clinic and hospital. The doctors and staff here are knowledgeable, empathetic, and on point at what they do. They've literally saved my life at 6 times since 2019. I can say, without reservation, that were I to suddenly become a powerball millionaire, I would continue to use the VA here for my health needs. I feel like the staff there are family and always feel well looked after and advocated for by them.

Absolute banger experience. First 2-3 days are hell as expected, but as I got to know everyone in my group, we slowly became more and more of a family with every passing day. Every patient has their own story and struggles, and works at their own pace. But seeing so many people’s spirits lift and one by one gain their happiness back was nothing short of magical. Only complaint is the food sucks. Staff shoutout, Jenna, Daniel, John, Jess, Bri, Emily, Nicole, the southern woman with glasses who’s name Is Ross maybe? Plus a few more whom I can picture in my head. You guys are all incredible and keep spreading positivity across the building. 10/10 would go again, yes it was that good.

The Meadows went above and beyond to help my daughter and myself. They listened to me, didn’t dismiss me and treat her with medication and discharge. They advocated for us, going above and beyond to ensure that she’s getting the best care. They made a time that’s so difficult and traumatizing for me as a mom, feel like I was supported. They worked around my schedule and made accommodations. Ms. Mary took her time to develop a relationship with my daughter, and she showed so much more progress opening up and exploring her emotions. RISE Counseling is fantastic! New in town and coming from a place where most of the options for counseling are at the hospital which is cold and clinical or the nearby health department, pretty much the same, I really appreciate the atmosphere.The waiting room is so relaxing! I much prefer the small private setting to big clinics which can make you feel like you're being processed like cattle.

St. Joes is an absolute paradise! Such a beautiful place to go and work on yourself. The staff are amazing and the treatment is so productive. They're pulling strings you may not realize to help you!! Thanks to St. Joes I've found me again. He was lost for a long time in the fog of a deep depression, masking that with substance use, I thought he was gone forever. Thank you guys so much for an opportunity to live again, not just exist. If you are struggling and need help, give them a call. They will pick you up and mark will call you everyday until they do to ask how you are doing! Very impressed and surprised because there are some bad reviews when every team member I meet was extremely caring and understanding of everyone's personal situations. They really care about you getting better and will help give you the tools and motivation to get there. I started in the intensive outpatient program which was important to my recovery in that it gave me a regular schedule and it felt good to get in that rhythm and everyone I meet in that class was respectful to each other we learned and had a good time. I recently moved out onto the regular outpatient and continue to meet new people who all share the same difficulties in life and openly share their stories and perspectives to identify our triggers and in my case: bad life traps and bad coping styles that lead to my addiction. We also are taught how to avoid the pit falls of addiction the through healthy coping mechanisms. They also started a new incentive program that awards healthy recovery based activities. Because of this program and the programs they provided me with outside of Guardenzia I was able to change my mindset and come to a place where I can finally admit to myself of my past addiction and admit to myself I cannot ever drink again and I'm grateful to them for getting me to this place where I can finally accept that.

Staff is helpful and facility is clean. They offer 2 maintence programs for opiate addiction. Methadone and Suboxone. They take most insurance or you can pay cash. The methadone program cost roughly $125 per week. However they will work with cash paying patients that need some type of payment arrangement. If you need help with your addiction and don't feel that you're ready to quit cold turkey on your own Discovery is a positive alternative.

Amazing!!! Helpful and caring!!! There’s nothing bad here nothing!! I can’t tell you how wonderful it is and refreshing!!! I have been on methadone 4 years and had to relocate back to central Pa and when I made arrangements with my old clinic at ARS, they tried to literally kill me!!! When I moved my entire life and had it all switched so I thought until!!! I get there and then they say oh your insurance is for another county do until you switch it we cannot help you!!! And left me sitting in the room alone!! Just not even care or bothering with me!!! They make ppl want to relapse why bother when you don’t care this much but I rememenrr beinf told Mechanicsburg ctc does same day so w only 32 mins left I rushed over to here and the world of diff of care, wanting to help!!! Willing to work with you as anyone knows even if you have no insurance the state of pa will pay up to 90 days back bills so they got all my paperwork and my dosing
That day and let me dose and set me up!!! I cannot tell you how as I say defeated in the other clinic defeated crying hysterically I saw my entire sobriety flash and about to be gone before my eyes!! I went from homeless, destitute, a person no one saw as worthy to a career in retail management, built myself to a respectable person agian that also helps others in recovery with at least that first step and now use my career to help give a job to those otherowise others look over!!

Nicky helped teach me so many things I really wish I had learned at a younger age, would've kept me out of trouble and away from self destructive coping mechanisms a long time ago and saved me a lot of legal fee money. I'd give 10 stars if I could and if you're reading this thinking about getting treatment apply yourself to this program and really put your all into it I guarantee it already helps

I have been to detox here about 5 times and the county paid for it every time. The staff is kind. They care. Most of the people that work there have a history with addiction and sober time. The nurses are all great too! Sweethearts. The place is really boring, understaffed and has a jail like space to move around in. It feels like being in jail a little bit because of the small area to be confined in. But I was always treated right and received help. Are you going to love it here? Probably not. But if your goal is to get clean then I'm giving it five stars. Today is my 1 year anniversary since my last drink. I have never made it this long before.

If you want to put in the work to better yourself, this place isn't so bad. The staff is really caring. Shelly, Bre, Maddie, & Rachel are the best. When I first got there, it was a hard adjustment for me, & the staff reassured me, encouraged me, & helped put pep in my step, until I saw the bigger picture. The counselor Angie, was the best, she helped me with everything & tried her hardest to listen & support me. This place helped me more than anyone could imagine & im forever greatful. But I will say one thing, why I didn't give a full 5 stars. The kitchen staff could be nicer. A few times, I think his name was Eddy who works in the kitchen, got in arguments with several women & said some really rude things during my stay.
