I was being weaned off valium (post AFIB) and needed to be monitored. But I went to most of the sessions with these healing addicted people. Seeing these people getting their green bracelet and the smiles and friendliness was life changing and responded to them with congratulations. These people are my heroes and the sessions were amazing. The "Serenity Prayer" has been a relationship lifesaver. I know people friends, who were RCA and they also think it a amazing. Both were consummate professionals, took their time and really handled the entire visits well. It really bolsters my faith in the treatment when I don't feel the MD is rushing to move onto the next patient. Ultimately I got fantastic care and I am sold, I will continue to use them and this site for medical care. I have been using VA Medical in various capacities for over forty years now and I have always had a good experience. The chef made incredible food for every meal and stocked the fridge every day with fresh food that we could eat at anytime as well. They also kept the freezer stocked with ice cream and water ice. The facility is cozy and kept very clean. There is a smart tv in every room as well as in the lounge/common area which is set up like a living room. I found the groups helpful. There are 3 hour long groups you can attend but don’t have to and either an AA or NA speakers that comes every night for an hour long meeting. I liked that Sunrise is a smaller facility, having room for about 20 patients. This made it easier to open up and share. You are able to go outside for fresh air or to smoke anytime except during group time. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about Sunrise Detox. Thank you to all the staff! You all are amazing!! Never been to detox before but the people who work there actually care about you and want you to get better. It only works if you are ready though. The food was amazing everyday, the counselors are there to help you, and the doctors/nurses want what’s best for you. I will 100% be going back there one day to speak to the patients to show them that recovery is possible. They also help you with finding resources after being discharged. Unfortunately, my addictions got the best of me and I relapsed and didn't return.I was so ashamed of myself I didn't want to show my face and went back to boozing and now thankfully I'm finally getting help that I need. I was admitted to Jefferson Hospital suffering from severe alcohol withdrawal syndrome, borderline experiencing auditory hallucinations. I was also suffering from gait abnormality and balance and coordination issues so they transferred me to Wyndmoor Hills for Physical therapy and once I'm discharged well before I'm discharged, I'll pick a rehab facility for inpatient treatment.Wish me luck. Everyone here is so friendly and you can tell they really care. Andrea Cirillo my chemo nurse is one of the best!!! She made my chemo treatments actually fun to go to as strange as that may sound. Andrea made my treatments bare able. I was blessed to have Andrea. Dr Dansoa my oncologist always answers any questions I have. She had me set up for a great treatment regimen. The chemo actually killed the cancer cells in my lymph nodes. Dr Brill my surgeon is top notch and I am so happy I went with her. I just had a double mastectomy last week and I never had any pain. I was able to get the help and treatment that I needed and after let’s say about 25 days day, I was discharged with a treatment plan also with numbers and addresses that I might need help with outside of the treatment center.
