I came to Silver Pines in a very bad mental state. I never thought I would ever see myself in a situation like this, but I am so thankful I went to Silver Pines. Being around others who were struggling and forming bonds and getting to know the staff was incredibly helpful. I was quite isolated in a lot of ways before I went and I feel like I can pick myself up now and take more control over my life. The groups, especially process groups, were very helpful and cathartic. Staff was also very understanding and encouraging. I want to thank Alisha, Doug, Deidre, Cat, Eddy, and many others (that I can't remember at this very moment, you were all fantastic though!) for all the support. The behavioral health techs were also fantastic. Of the BHT's, Tim really helped me to open up and he helped me immensely when I was getting familiar with the place and nervous in my first few days. When dealing with people who are struggling, that type of compassion is important and he really made the difference for me. Thank you again.

overall a decent quality rehab. the good: the food is pretty good, grounds and building are beautiful, and some of the counselors are very understanding. the yoga, music and outdoor programs are EXCELLENT. the bad: they dont turn on the ac until well into summer and it can get around 81 degrees in the rooms when you’re try to get some rare and therapeutic sleep. lack of sleep is a serious factor in recovery and can push you into the relapse zone. some of the counseling sessions are awkward, cold and completely lacking in human empathy. some, not all. i was prescribed gabapentin at marworth after i told the doctors i had been on lyrica for almost a year. after taking gabapentin, the combination of the two medications made me severely ill for about two months. i reported this but never got a response - doctors had refused to offer me an alternative or really to discuss this matter. im pretty sure they dont really care.

I am a 2021 graduate. Before coming to Teen Challenge, I was homeless on the streets of Philadelphia. I came here for recovery, but I got a new life instead. It sounds weird to say about my time in rehab, but it was one of the best years of my life. After graduating, I interned here, eventually becoming a staff member. I wanted to work here because of what I saw in the staff as a student, their love for God and people, and servanthood. I wanted to bring that same love and servanthood to people who are sick and suffering, like they did for me. It is not just a job but a calling. I would recommend PAATC to anyone struggling with addiction, and I am eternally grateful to God for using it to give me a life and a purpose.

I felt compelled to write this review because of the wonderful care my 88 years old father has received. The respect, kindness and concern displayed by every one of the Doctors, nurses and personnel we have encountered is absolutely amazing. While they are too numerous to mention, I particularly wanted to give special gratitude to our home care nurse, Vinnie…my father just adores her and she is amazing. I also wanted to express my appreciation to Lorett, who tended to my father’s wounds yesterday. Lorett was incredible and so kind. Likewise were the doctor, Rachel and the staff in the emergency area. In closing, I want to state that this VA hospital and all associated medical providers and staff should be recognized for its/their high degree of standard, but more importantly for the compassion and respect displayed to our Veterans. Thank you and happy holidays.

Today I helped a Vietnam era veteran. Remember as a veteran sometimes we struggle. When you see a service person in need of help, do what the Lord installed in your heart love of one another. The gentleman was in need. I would encourage anyone whether you're a veteran or not. Help the elderly. My suggestion would be to take an index card and put the person's first name only, last four if you're a veteran and POC. Place this in a plastic bag and safety pin it to the person in some form or fashion. This would eliminate hours of wasted time helping people to connect with loved ones. Let them know the Lord brought you to them out of love because he first loved us. One other advice if you're helping someone and you have to walk away give them something of yours to assure them you will return. A small act of kindness goes a long way. The Lord sees all and never forgets. Lose the attitude of someone not being your race. When you served you should NEVER see race. Remember that. You don't know who may be near you to save your life. We leave no one behind. Amen UPDATE October 20, 2025*** Thank you so much for fitting me in your schedule with Radiology. Thank you for all you do for Veterans....Plus ten Stars 💓 I want to thank the gentleman who carried my purse while I walked your walker. I believe we both loved the small acts of kindness. Have a blessed day.

The AMAZING staff at the Caron Foundation facility in Del Ray Beach truly saved my sons life. As of tomorrow, he will have been sober for one full year!! The treatment at Caron surpassed all of his and my expectations. He had been in several rehabs over many years, and they would assist in helping him to get sober but after 15 to 30 days, out he went. The reasons for his continued addiction was never addressed. At Caron, the program they offer is life changing. Not only did they help get him sober but FINALLY the reasons behind the addiction were brought out front and center. The staff's ability to guide and push when needed to help get at the root of the origin of his addiction was our answer. We know he will struggle each day but going from where he was, on the street, homeless, to where he is now, brought him back to his family. We truly went years not having the knowledge to help. The staff at Caron , not only helped my son , but helped me. We went to visit him a few times while he was in treatment and the staff were beyond accommodating, along with their kindness and compassion for what they do, with each patient. I would highly recommend the Caron Treatment Center for anyone or any family hoping to have their loved one back .

As a service-connected disabled veteran that has been in the VA system 1994, I love being able to receive my primary care closer to home. For years I went to the Lebanon VAMC for ALL my healthcare needs and the drive alone made it inconvenient. Let alone the constant construction and parking lot mess. The care at Lebanon VAMC is wonderful but the facility is big and busy so the much closer Lancaster VA at Willow Street is a godsend for me. The front desk, lab, nurses and my PCP are incredible. I was here when I was 14 in 2022. I was at a very low point in my life, not wanting to be alive anymore. Embark was a very nice place. 99% of the staff were very kind and caring. The facility was very nice, and the food was pretty good. I didn't like being there, but looking back it wasn't too bad. I was transferred to a long term facility after 2 months at Embark. That is where I entered the world of The Troubled Teen Industry in Utah. I was not placed at one of the embark facilities there, rather an ROP program. But, it's important to know every single facility in Utah is BAD. Embark at the Poconos or one of their other locations far away from Utah is the exception. Embark at the Poconos was like a vacation compared to the other places I was sent. While I don't think you should send your child ANYWHERE unless absolutely necessary, it should be here if needed. I have heard bad things from friends who went to the embark locations in Utah. But, this one was pretty good. That being said, I thank embark at the Poconos for always treating me with compassion. Almost 3 years later, I am accepted to college for nursing and on track to graduate.

(This is a long one) I’ve had my fair share of therapists before and each time it was a crash and burn situation. It never worked out for me, I always felt like it was too much. I pushed it off until it smacked me in the face. I can genuinely say EVERY SINGLE STAFF MEMBER DOWN TO THE RECEPTIONISTS ( especially Kaela, dr. Nelson, Greg & Nicole for me) welcomed me with opened arms at a time I needed it most. I never not once felt judged nor put down. I was held accountable each step of the way and able to express myself. Each one of them taught me a lot about my triggers, my attachment styles, my anger, the work I had to put in on my self and just the really understanding and loving the overall person I am. They taught me to identify why I was using bad habits to cope with my feelings. I really don’t have the words to explain how much they have helped me. If so I would be here all day. Let me try to sum it up. I had never been to therapy long term(some therapists just wouldn’t call back). I had never been on medication for my mental health(I would gas light myself and create bad habits to cope). I was in therapy for about a year and a half with kaela, Greg and dr Nelson. Some days I wish I had never left(I moved out the state). Dr. Nelson always listened to me, he helped me understand what was going on mentally. During my time he worked with me to find medications that helped me function daily. It wasn’t easy but he never gave up and he never pushed me to take anything I didn’t like or want to be on. Greg helped me to look within. He taught me not to bottle up my emotions and how to express what I’m feeling in a better way than I was. I have to give my props to Kaela for dealing with me the longest tho. Instantly I clicked with her. She really sets the bar high when it comes to a therapist for me. She listened to me yap on and on and she didn’t make me feel like I was a burden with my weekly visits. I actually looked forward to going to my visits.. even when I went back on my word. She didn’t make me feel ashamed of myself(No one there did) She always remembered everything, even when I didn’t. She made me hold myself accountable for my actions, as she did also. I loved that about her most. She didn’t let me slip. She helped me realize why I was doing certain things or why I was reacting the way I would and what they could’ve stemmed from. Other therapists didn’t do what they did for me mentally, even spiritually. Everyone at Caron is like a family to me at this point. I recommend everyone to come to Caron. All my friends, family, strangers. They made me realize therapy and asking for help wasn’t bad after all. If you needed a sign. This is it.

I had emergency colon surgery in March at Allentown. Unfortunately, they did it in a hurry because that what was necessary at the time. I had 9 weeks of pain and issues and required a second emergency surgery in May. The good news is, then I met Dr. Daniel J. Bowers. He became my regular doctor through this and I saw him several times. He is an excellent doctor and a very good man. He always took time to explain my situation with understanding and compassion when I was at a very low point in my life. I've been home 2 weeks and haven't felt this good in months. I finally feel like everything is behind me. A special thanks to Dr. Stewart and medical student Nate. AND the 8th floor nursing staff, especially Faye and Sam!!! I could never do the kind of work that these medical professionals do every day! But, I am grateful that they do! God bless them all!
