There's a man named Joey that works there and he is just the light of the building. He is so nice and has an amazing heart and he's genuine not doing it bc it's his job. Great place to Jumpstart your recovery. From Detox to Residential, I felt valued here. The staff, the nurses, and the counselors are supportive and truly want to help you get on the right path to recovery. Even the patients are high-quality and serious about getting better. The groups are well planned and tackle important areas like relapse prevention, coping skills, conflict patterns and so much more information pertinent to long term recovery. They even have acupuncture if you're interested in holistic healing!
For anyone who desires a safe place to grow and combat their substance abuse all in effort to lead a clean, happy, sober life, I would recommend Adcare Rhode Island. I would give this place 5 stars if they had more tea options and hot water mode on the water machine!

Been on liquid handcuffs for 3+ years finally starting to decrease my dose, this place saved my life they’re awesome and don’t treat you like an addict. My only complaint is they should make it easier for take homes. I don’t understand why they don’t give everyone 1 weeks worth and if the patient messes up then take them off. I feel like if I git take homes right away I could have winged myself off. Because yes Dr’s know a lot and a lot more than me but I know for a fact I know my body better than any doctor. I came to Good Sam's Same Day Surgery unit on Wednesday June 15th for a PICC line placement and first dose of antibiotics due to a severe case of Lyme Arthritis. I’m never one to leave a review but doctor Catherine is an absolute angel. My 1 year old spiked a fever of 103 and he is the most social baby ever. Still managed to be in a good mood and wave and talk to everyone lol but to assess him is complicated to say the least. Dr Catherine was so patient and kind, even let the baby play with her stethoscope to distract him. She addressed our concerns was quick and painless!
Not only was she an excellent doctor but an incredible human being.
As parents we were so grateful for being handled with the most professionalism and kindness possible.

This is the place if you’re really struggling and need some outside help. The rules are pretty simple. However my big Downside is this is a for profit company. For the 80 or so they get from each patient it should be invested into quality case workers. I’m not saying they are all bad but I’ve been here for about 5 or so years, and I’ve just been given my 7th case worker granted only 5 we’re supposed to be permanent. The case worker I just finally got Is the only one you’ve hired that has personal experience.
