Cuttingsville, VT | Spring Lake Ranch is a drug rehab center that offers a very wide range of services to adults living in the Cuttingsville, Vermont, area. They offer residential treatment for those suffering from drug and alcohol addictions, as well as co-occurring conditions, which can include depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and more. This ra | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Spring Lake Ranch saved my life. No, this is not an overstatement. Not only that, but it saved my relationship with my family. To give you some backstory, I had spent 6 years battling deep depression, OCD, anxiety, and suicidal ideation. I was very resistant to doing any sort of inpatient/residential treatment; despite efforts from my parents and therapists, I refused. And if you know anything about treatment, you know that you must be willing to receive help to get anything out of it. It took living on my own, not working, not in school, having hit yet another wall after trying IV ketamine therapy, for me to push past any pride and fear and admit that something needed to change. I did a Google search trying to find somewhere, anywhere to go that wasn’t a white wall institution, for the only thing that briefly brought me out of the dark hole I was living in was being outside with my dog.
I found SLR, in addition to Gould, interested in their therapeutic community-based approach to treatment, and decided to take a tour of both. After a disappointing visit to Gould, I knew it wasn’t the place for me, a conclusion they came to as well. My dad and I then drove to Vermont and met with Kevin to tour the ranch. The atmosphere was lively, the people were friendly, and you couldn't differentiate who was a resident and who was staff. Though still trepidatious, later that day, my dad and I went back to our Airbnb and decided to move forward with it. The ranch isn't a traditional treatment place, and you can see that with every ranch holiday, as many former residents come back to visit, and the ranch welcomes them with open arms. I met some of my best friends and had the most life-changing experiences (for example, assisting in 3 piglet births as someone from a city who had only seen farm animals from a distance). This isn’t to say I didn’t have hard times, there were many instances where I fell back, but for the first time I had a community and net of support that helped me get back on my feet, and eventually gave my the courage and confidence to realize I could succeed on my own, but also that I wasn’t alone, and asking for help is a strength, not a weakness. During my time at the ranch, I was on a farm crew (though occasionally on gardens to help decorate birthday/goodbye cakes). It pushed me mentally and physically, and with each day on crew, I felt stronger and more capable. I also completed a mural during my stay, a project the ranch supported me with (along with Carl and Olivia, both of whom I attribute so much of my personal and creative growth to). I got to the ranch in March 2024 and left in April 2025. Some stay shorter, some longer, but the year I spent at the ranch wasn’t one I look back on as a “year I lost in treatment”, but the year that made me WANT to live again.

Savida is a Godsend to me. I've been with Savida since 2013 or 2014. The environment is always welcoming & very clean. The ENTIRE staff from the ladies at the front desks, to the nurses to the providers. They are very caring about each patient on individual needs. As I know many Friends & Family that also go to Savida and everyone agrees that they are very professional and very nice & personable. They are ALWAYS there when a addict just needs to talk even when you don't have a appointment and you call during operating offers THEY WILL ALWAYS BE THERE FOR YOU. If you need to talk during closed office hours theres ALWAYS still a human to speak with and assist you.
I see Analise Vargas currently and she is the BEST. I'm VERY comfortable with her. Very kind and professional. I rate her a 10
I've had 3 specific LONG time clinicians each years at a time. When each of those providers left for new jobs or personal reasons, it's a loss.
Many, many, many clinicians and office staff have come & gone, however MANY have been there for many years and I honestly have to say that the Savida office which I go to in North adams Massachusetts ( 3rd location since 2012) is not only the cleanest office I've ever encountered, but just a GREAT group of people on staff. EVERYONE there is professional, Personable, Courteous, friendly, and most of all the environment and the staff make me feel incredibly safe.

Methadone maintenance is the gold standard for opiate addiction for a reason. This stuff works, in addition I’ll add my counselor Katie is a straight up G. She truly cares about her clients. The people here have absolutely horrid grammar. The only good thing about this place was the deck swap card in uno and the weetabix... unfortunately, King Jessica/Julian would limit my eating habits.
In all seriousness, when I first got to Brattleboro I was extremely nervous from the reviews I saw online being majorly negative (which then became an ongoing joke between me, my peers, and the staff - hence the beginning). That being said, for me, I found my stay there to be helpful and a good life experience to know that there's always someone who'll be there, even if you don't know them. I had lots of fun and made friends I'm still in contact with today. The staff is wonderful and only wants to help you, but I know this could be very different for other people going in there. So if you're like me, reading reviews as you drive over, just know that the living there can be hard and sometimes the kitchen will forget you ordered a grilled cheese, but you're there to get help and the staff is there to give you help so if you're cooperative, going to groups, and working on improvement - you're undeniably going to get better. Yes, some of the reviews are right and it can be a little scary to watch people be restrained, but you need to focus on yourself there.

The staff were amazing, it was difficult with the forced isolation and strict rules but after a while I realized it was necessary. Forced quiet when I couldn’t quiet myself. Caring and compassionate I needed them and proud to say I’m an Ally (LGBTQIA+)
One suggestion PLEASE ! Have everyone sign a release of info to their PCP right off on the day of discharge. Get the process started because it is a long and broken system to navigate and this will shorten it. It’s the patient who suffers from the 30 days plus process and the communication and paperwork that it takes for the two to talk to each other. It’s just one less thing we have to remember or concentrate on while trying to get back into the world again.

I use to come here for years and then I moved and have been guest dosing - my husband and I - and there’s no clinic available in the area not even Kingston.
My home clinics still Binghamton - I emailed and emailed and no response a whenever i go in their busy. They know me,
They were both my counselors before I left.
I just need to have my insurance cover bc it’s expensive and taking from my kids and I cannot keep borrowing. Please 🙏 just let us be patients there or help us set up a can every day 4 hours a day to get to Binghamton. But doing that will affect me working. Idk im just fed up and I wish I wasn’t on the dose I am or I’d just stop.

Mountain Valley truly changed my life forever. I came to them overcome with anxiety and hopelessness that made life feel impossible and worthless. The bubbly and sweet girl I once was completely hidden by my mental illness. But Mountain Valley brought that happy and optimistic side of me back, and gave me so many more invaluable gifts and insights. At Mountain Valley, I learned so much, including skills to help me manage my intense mood fluctuations, insights about common patterns in my anxiety, how to tackle my fear head on and even see it as a tool rather than a weakness, and I learned when and how to properly reach out for help when I needed it. But more than anything, at Mountain Valley I learned what it truly meant to be loved. You will never find a place as loving as MV. From the supportive and enthusiastic staff to the other residents who I now call some of my best friends, everyone in the community truly cares so much for one another and wants to see each other succeed. Surrounded by so much care and affection, I learned how to love myself and be optimistic about my life once again. Even being almost 2 years post grad from Mountain Valley, I still feel constantly supported by the MV community and I know I always have a home in beautiful Plainfield, NH. If you or your loved one is considering Mountain Valley, I truly could not recommend it more!!!

MV was the first treatment center I ever attended. I was terrified going in—I had never been away from home, and I was struggling deeply with depression, OCD, and anxiety. I had graduated from high school in 2023, taken a gap year, and was preparing to start at Franklin & Marshall College when I hit my rock bottom. Together, my parents and I made the difficult decision that I needed more intensive support. Looking back now, those five months at MV became the most transformative period of my life.
I met incredible people—both residents and staff—who made me feel seen, understood, and supported. During my time at MV, I was able to heal and reconnect with the core of my values. Of course, there were moments when I felt frustrated with the program; treatment is a vulnerable space that asks you to confront your fears, your patterns, and the safety behaviors that have led your life. But MV offered me the safety, structure, and guidance I needed to work through that discomfort. They gave me the push no one else could. MV helped me to realize just how much I needed consistency, caring accountability, and firm but compassionate support.
Today, my OCD is so much better, and although my anxiety is still around (it’s always going to be a pesky little friend), I’ve learned how to work with it instead of letting it control me. I’m currently living in Portland, ME, in a transitional living program where I’m taking classes at SMCC, working at Anthropologie, and learning how to support myself. To see the progress from a year ago—when I couldn’t even leave my room—to where I am now is incredibly empowering. And best of all, I've realized that the strength I needed was already within me; I just needed some help remembering that it was there. None of this would have been possible without the foundation MV helped me build. I am forever grateful to everyone there. It genuinely changed my life.
P.S. Here’s a photo of me at the peak of Mt. Moosilauke—best hike ever!

Healing Springs is a welcoming recovery community resource center serving those in recovery, substance users seeking recovery, and family dealing with loved ones with substance-use problems and issues.
The center offers a plethora of programs for those in recovery including 12-steps (AA, NA, MA, OA, CODA), All Recovery, and Refuge Recovery. It also offers different guided activities including Recovery Writing, painting, and jewelry making. Community activities include gardening, Saturday coffee and chat, fishing, and bowling.
The center is staffed by both volunteers (many of whom are in recovery) and professional Certified Recovery Peer Advocates (CRPAs). Some of the Center's CRPAs specialize in areas of family, veterans, incarceration, and hospitalization.
Positive energy flows throughout the center and all of the programs which are offered.
The Center is NOT a rehab, however it does provide information to those seeking rehab facilities.
Come in. Sit down. Enjoy a cup of fresh-brewed coffee. Chat with someone. Feel the good vibes.

Greenfield, MA | Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield, Massachusetts is a full service hospital that offers drug and alcohol rehab services to adult women who are pregnant. They provide a team of medically trained professionals to help women who are experiencing a substance use disorder. Their program is called the Moms Do Care Empowerment program. If you | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Went in on Tuesday with my 2 1/2 year-old. She was having trouble breathing and didn’t seem like herself. She tested positive for RSV and the pediatric doctor there (red headed lovely woman) was super helpful in making the decision to get her helicoptered over to CCMC in Hartford. The staff is very knowledgeable and I appreciated them making quick decisions and getting us a transport that was safe and effective. My only complaint would be that my daughter seemed way worse often than anyone else in the waiting room and we still had to wait about 45 minutes to be seen. I went up once and explained like she’s actually struggling to breathe and then it was only about 10 minutes later that they saw her so they did act once I voiced my concern. I would recommend advocating for yourself at the urgent care check-in if you are really in distress.

Took my wife to ER yesterday. All around impressive experience with all the staff. Triage staff were thorough and patient. Nurses equally excellent. Doctors were calm, reassuring and knowledgeable with great bedside manner. Continual checking in on us while in the room. Not your typical ER experience. Thank you to all. With appreciation, gratitude and respect to all.

This BHN facility has its ups and downs to it. From May 2018, to current day! I have experienced so much over the years. From being a Co-Ed Detox up until 2022. My last time being in this building in 2021, I'm now a resident of Connections. My caseworker Alex is very reasonable and understanding. The program director Jen is a wonderfully kind and cooperative person. This is a locked facility, where you have to be let on or off the unit. The different paths in recovery are accepted. There is from a structured guidance program here. 3 beds in each room, 3 meals provided daily, and staff (Recovery Specialists & Clinical Counselors) that will provide help/assistance/resources. I've been here in this new program for a week now and have adjusted very well. My future here will be very conducive to my recovery, I also believe that I can and will be very successful.
The downsides here are only, grievance forms aren't responded to timely. Your not allowed to bring food or beverages on to unit. Very

If you saw a red and black Phoenix bird drawing, that was me (:
I miss the staff & all the people I’ve met there. I’d recommend this program to any and every person with addiction!
If you have a problem with this program then probably you out to stop running your own program!

I've posted a few comments what's important is that the program works they now let u smoke bud also something alot of us worried about for take-homes but things WILL NOT always go your way I guess my advice to myself and others is simply keep going even if it gets rough and feels hard keep going even if you know your clean and a test says otherwise false positives or whatever they might be, just know that in the long run it is saving your life!!
