Safe Harbor provided me with the tools I needed to get and remain sober. As of today, I am extremely proud to say that I have been sober now over 19 months and have even quit smoking cigarettes. They do care about each and every one of us that suffer from the disease of addiction. If you are sick and tired of being sick and tired as I was, Safe Harbor is a great place to commence your own path into recovery. Thank you, Safe Harbor. 🙏.

I came to Crossroads in October 2017. I was lost and needed a strong foundation on which to plant my feet in recovery. I found that at Crossroads. I have always felt respected and hopeful with my treatment here. Crossroads has stood by me in my recovery through many trials and tribulations and I’m very thankful! There are some wonderful people here, my counselor Antionette is awesome and checks on me periodically throughout the time I’m not at the Clinic. The nurse’s are great about with helping me in any way that they can! Crossroads is a great place if you’re ready to start the path to recovery!!!! Thanks to all of you guys for helping me in this journey :))

Excellent program that helped pull me out of and stabilize me from a very dark place. I checked myself in and the staff was very supportive. Tito’s the best counselor they have (IMHO) and he shared many ideas for healing and coping. He keeps it real, honest, and is very cool. Dr. G (Gingras) was an amazing psychiatrist and she always took the time to really listen to me and adjust my medications as needed. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who feels they have to carry all their mental and emotional scars alone. You don’t. Go to VBPC first. You’ll be among likeminded people and supportive staff who cares about you.

Hello Mrs Turner Hamlin, It's me Wanda C. Mrs Turner Hamlin, At first I didn't understand why my assistance was cut off. But after getting in touch with your agency, I didn't know that I was about to be challenged, so that my insurance could be reinstated. The ongoing need for MORE information, started to affect me mentally, and physically. I had no CNA, no transportation to my doctor's appointments, No medication therefore left me totally and completely spiraling out of control. I spiraled so hard that I became incoherent to friend and family. . Nothing was making sense to me, but I was in a unstable mind, due to lack of medication. This had to be solved!!! I'd even reached out to my workers supervisor , but never heard back from Mr Gillum. Lack of my Medicaid reinstated, I struggled a unbelievable close to death experience, that don't ever want to visit AGAIN. After countless phone calls, Mrs Hamlin, was able to reinstate my coverage, I was completely overwhelmed, and want to Thank her, for working and not jeopardizing job, which I appreciate. I have over 3 years in recovery and through some of my most difficult times, Spero has been my saving grace. Alva K (counselor) and Val J (nurse practitioner) have been the BIGGEST blessings to my life. I’ve attended several IOPs in the past and have been successful but Spero Petersburg has given me the tools I was lacking. Alva provides the BEST groups and one on ones I have ever been apart of in my 19 years of addiction. She is by far, one of the most talented and truly inspiring women I have had the pleasure of knowing. To be able to know her is a blessing. Val is a beautiful soul who continues to seek knowledge of addiction treatment daily. She will take care of you like no other doctor will ever try. You will feel entirely embraced in love and understanding as long as you are there for the RIGHT reasons. I have to agree with some past reviews, there have been lots of changes but our new case manager, Amber, is amazing. She will help you with ANYTHING you want to conquer (jobs, social services, training) Toya is also someone I can not say enough good things about. If you have a problem with medicine or appointments, she responds in good timing and truly cares. She will work with whatever issues you have going on or that pop up, no worries, Toyas got your back! The entire office is bar none. If you are in need of addiction therapy, MAT meds, call Spero!

The Port Health Nags Head has been a blessing for many.. there is always bad with the good, but in general they have helped many..including myself, it's not only a place for recovery, or medications, but there is some great counselors that I can attest have helped me work thru many issues over the years, and they are not just there if you have a mental issue, or are in to help a drug addiction..but they also offer great groups that can help women (and men)in toxic relationships, help for using life skills in situations that you cannot do alone, there their for grief counseling.. the groups are for those who sign up weekly and if needed one on one counseling sessions are available.. its not always been easy, and if your new and the 1st experience isn't what you like, remember that's why there is more than 1 person to help you, everyone has different personalities so don't give up or be angry, they also want to help you find the right person that you will get the best experience and help from... I appreciate the front office staff.. Mrs Norma, and others are friendly and helpful..the Dr is wonderful and will do his best if you do need medication to get you on the correct ones to help your condition and help you if you are able to get off as well.. the entire staff have been a blessing for me.. thru the good and bad times.. I recommend you call 1st, for if new you will need to do a intake which is very thorough. I also want to point out they are Covid careful and it's always clean and sanitized as a immune compromised patient I appreciate that. Thanks to all I've known who have helped me over the years. Your top stars to me.
