I just want to take a moment to thank Arrowwood and their entire team. I’ve had several friends—and even family members—go through their program, and every single one of them has had nothing but great things to say. They always mention how beautiful the facility is, but more importantly, how genuinely kind, caring, and supportive the staff are on a personal level.

I had an overall good experience here. Ms. Patricia, Ms. Roxana, and Ms. Brandi are all very sweet and notable nurses. The therapists (Ms. Jackie and Ms. Shawnta) and doctor (Mr. Omari) on the unit were as well. You also can t forget about the teacher, Mr. Todd. They listen to you and genuinely seem to care about the issues you are experiencing. The one thing I would change is the techs; some of them are kind and some of them are definitely on the ruder side.

While during transitions things are usually always rocky and a bit unsettled as can be expected, Ive seen the positive greatly outweigh any of the negitive in the almost 3 yrs. I have been a patient. If you follow the rules and the handbook given on your first day, there are normally no problems. Occasionally things do happen as with any buss. Or situation. If you really want the help, it is there. The entire staff from councilors to nursing to admin. Truely cares about people, and it shows. Today, I wittnessed a medical emergency happen in the waiting room. Staff went above and beyond in handling it. Most Especially the nurse in charge Ms. Carol. She showed total class and professionalism in how she handled the situation as well as showed her personal side and that she really cares about her patients. She really deserves an extra day off paid or somthing of the nature as she earned it and then some this morning. She made sure everything was handled by protocal and also stayed right beside the lady reassuing her she was there, had 9q1 on the way, and that she would be ok. As scary as the situation was, Ms. Carol remained capm and focused the entire time. Being it was a half an hour before closing on a Sat. With a packed waiting room, I am quite sure she had to also stay late. Its easy to complain about things we dont like. What I wittnessed today with staff really touched my heart and I fealt the need to share some POSITIVE about an expierence at BHG.

Their main treatment options are medication assisted treatment and outpatient counseling for adults and pregnant women. American Addiction Treatment Center is affiliated with the Pinnacle Treatment Centers network | Treatments Programs Payment Options | it's a mostly good place. not all the staff are my favorite, but that's going to happen anywhere. the new director was handed a pile of mess and is trying to make the best of it while making things better at the same time, and she's doing the best she can with what she was given from what I can tell. most of these patients just don't have.... patience. I've seen them corner staff members and scream at them for being held outside while a patient is having a medical emergency in the lobby. they only care about themselves, and there are no employees or security on drugs or smoking pot outside.I'm hopeful they can get to a place where they can have a really good crew that stays for a long time and works cohesively together. I'm glad this clinic is here for those of us that need it.the only staff member I truly have an issue with is a counselor (?) Sarah. I'm not sure what her problem is but she looks at us and treats us like we're just a bunch of junkies and nothing more. she is rude to clinic patients, she's not understanding to any situation, she lies to patients just so she doesn't have to do something, or even try, and the worst one: she also breaks HIPAA - her office is right off the lobby & if you're standing there, you can hear both sides of her entire Zoom call therapy appointments because she keeps her door wide open during these calls. I heard everything one young woman said in her appointment, very personal things. she should be ashamed of herself. the behavior I have seen from her is honestly unacceptable, and I don't believe this is the job for her. if you think addicts are beneath you, you shouldn't be working here Sarah.

I would highly recommend this facility to anyone who is struggling with addiction. For the first time in my life I have found a place with a staff that not only cares deeply for their patients, but also do not make their patients feel judged. They really do seem to care beyond any other facility I have been to, and I have been to several. I still have a long way to go, but just knowing that they see their patients as human beings who are in a lot of pain emotionally and mentally, and not just junkies , is what gives me the strength and courage to keep trying. The staff is absolutely amazing. I will forever be grateful for this , facility, the staff, and the doctors associated with this treatment program.

Even if I need to be in this program longer than other people think, I'll always be grateful to this place and the professionals that showed up every single day so I didn't have to be a street addict anymore with no way of accomplishing mental health and sucess. As a graduate of this program I am just here to refute the negative review left by a former beneficiary. Before you enter the program you are given in detail what you are signing up for. You are told from the beginning this is a Work Therapy program, and that you will have to attend Christian based spiritual classes and services. The resident managers have to deal with up to 100 something men so please don't listen to that one negative review about the program itself and about the program employees who's names should not be mentioned. Without God placing me here I would be on the street, dead in my addiction or worse. They do not force you to stay. The doors are meant to keep randoms out, not to keep someone unwilling to change their life, in. If you are struggling with addiction, or want to grow in your relationship with Christ, or even if you have no religion you are welcome here. But again, this is a work Therapy, Christian based program. Those who complain know exactly what they are signing up for . God bless.

It was horrible to be kidnapped by the cops in handcuffs and escorted to a facility where I was trapped for a week. This experience compounded my trauma, as it has been happening to me since I was seven. The facility was pretty nice, and Dr. Cunningham was amazing. The counselors made my stay bearable, especially Tito. The nurses were nice too they made sure I got all my meds. However, I do have some complaints. First, it is ridiculous that they generate so much paper, cardboard, and Styrofoam waste yet don't recycle. Second, I had a book with me that was for adults, and they wouldn't let me keep it apparently, I'm not "adult enough."The social workers made sure I had a place to go after leaving, as I had been kicked out of my home. My other huge problem is that they don't employ therapists. If you want a therapist, you have to ask the doctor to put in an order, and then you are assigned a student therapist. If you feel you need help, this is a great place to get it at least for immediate psychiatric assistance. I heard from my peers who were there voluntarily that the front desk might tell you that you can't bring anything with you, but that isn't true. Make sure to bring enough clothes for at least a week.

I was here for 8 days and starting partial program tomorrow! I absolutely loved it there. Everyone was so supportive, caring, and had similar issues I related to so I was not alone. A few staff members I would to thank is Tito, Abbie, Liz, Frannie, Kelle, and Dr Balmer. They were all so caring, funny, and very helpful with making sure I was getting the right treatment.Only thing I can complain about is the fact that the medical doctor took many days to see me as nurses forgot to put in orders for me to see him. When I saw him twice, he didn t do much. As a chronically ill person, I know what treatment helps me the most. I had to speak to a patient advocate and Dr Balmer to get the treatment I needed. I appreciate both of them for helping me with that!

It has taken me a minute to get my life back on track after being released from serving 5 years in the Virginia State Prison System. Trust me I never thought in a million years that 5 years in prison would be a part of my story. But it was part of Gods plan. You see God had to sit me down for 5 years to gain perspective on just how reckless my life had become. Before prison I was a womanizing, home wrecking drunkard. I had no respect towards anyone s marriage vows, let alone my own. Because I was being selfish I chose to get involved with an old high school girlfriend that was married with 4 kids. Our relationship should have been left in 1995. To spare you the details. I made my usual selfish mistakes and caused so much anger in a woman who truly loved and tried to help me. In that anger she attacked me with fists, instead of responding in my usual humble blocking of fists, I met her with the same rage she had towards me.In the end of this mess I was sentenced to 45 years by a Virginia Judge (https://www.richmondbar.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/Chesterfield.pdf )with a 6 years (5 years/2 months with good time) active sentence to serve in the horribly dysfunctional Virginia Prison System. One of the few people that believes in second chances is Dr. Paul Hardy from Recovery 4 Recovery for Life. Because the Virginia DOC system is so corrupt and dysfunctional I didn t have a home plan nor was my Interstate Compact Completed in time for me to return to Washington State. I honestly had no where to go once I was released! All I had to my name was $1200 on my books from a measly .45 cents/hour job in prison and what ever my family was able scrape up and send to me.Dr. Paul took a chance on having someone convicted of a violent crime (domestic battery) and offered me a second chance by allowing me to live at the recovery house. This opportunity allowed me the time to get back on my feet while I waited (2 months) for my Interstate Compact to be approved for Washington State. If it wasn t for Recovery 4 Life, Dr. Paul, and the awesome owners (Stacie Gallinal) of Marco s Pizza at 1544 Laskin Rd #212, Virginia Beach, VA 23451. I honestly could have been homeless and jobless. You see if you just listen to Gods plan. He will provide you all the help you need if you re willing to accept it!I hope one day to share my testimony with the world.God BlessChris Acheson

I have had mostly excellent experiences with Brightview (formerly called Right Path) since 2019. The doctors have been great, they care and so do most of the other staff such as reception, counselors and care coordinators. I have had a few problems with medication prior authorizations that were incorrectly filled out and problems with 2 different counselors but they normally fix these issues very quickly. My biggest complaint is that you can t call the office directly anymore and all calls go to a call center . Sometimes they handle your issue immediately and sometimes it takes many days and repeated calls about something simple. This wouldn t happen if you could call your clinic directly! Despite a few issues, I still give them a 5 star rating because the office workers care about you and your health.
