I was recently here and the staff were very professional and respectful, counselors were informative but the total class time was minimal. If you want clean time this is the place to go, if you desire more structure I'd recommend abhs. But. Now a year later I'm still clean and I owe it in part to this program. Without them who knows? I could very easily have died by now

So this was the only treatment center I have ever attended so I don't have much to compare it to but most of my issues I had with the program where not so much because of the program itself but my own bitterness towards it. Now having said that the building was definitely in need of some TLC and it was obvious that budget was going more towards the staff and counselors than the treatment center itself.
Outdoor activities where on par for an elementary school not so much for grown men who want more than a volley ball court and a broken basketball hoop but hey it's not a retreat. The lecture hall was my personal favorite place in the whole building. Saturdays all the clients would get together and we'd watch movies on a giant projector screen and if you're a quiet person like me who likes to keep to themselves it's usually pretty empty in there after lunch till it's time for lights out.
This place had 2 amazing counselors whose names I can't remember. My counselor was Viki and she was a delight but I must say she's better as a friend than a counselor. Now as far as the counselor that drives the Tesla he's a real a-hole and the fact he's aloud to be a counselor of any sort blows my mind. But you gotta remember it's not up to the counselors to work your recovery and that's something I had to learn months after I left blaming them for my failed sobriety when really it was me not working my steps.
The freaking food tho was so good every meal. Like I'd happily relapse just to go back for that lol. But seriously your recovery is on you and you are worth it. This place has its flaws but if you focus on yourself and your well being its a great place to take a step back and take a deep breathe. JOTC truly set me on a path of recovery. I just had to get over my bitterness and work my steps.
Don't be discouraged recovery isn't easy but your life is something worth doing it for and I love you and I'm glad your taking a step towards the greatness you deserve.

The staff are friendly and professional. My issue was not getting consistent care because of many appointments having to be rescheduled, but it was for very understandable reasons. Regardless, it set me back on my personal progress and progress on my treatment. My other issue was that unfortunately, they had a change in staff resulting in me not being able to get all the types of treatment that I was looking for.

So upset this treatment center is closing!! Typical corporate decision. I am alive today because of their treatment. Clean & sober for 15 years with no desire to drink, do drugs, and/or binging on both. The comments from the new owners were disrespectful and ignorant about the process. Treatment is not easy in any program, but if it saves lives why end it. Shame on you Universal Healthcare! Many lives will be lost by closing this hospital.

I feel like it needs to be said that no one will kick an addiction in 10 days. Even the traditional 28 days won't end the addiction. There are no shortcuts to the life long journey you are embarking on, if you choose sobriety. What Schick does - is give you the tools, and take away the cravings so you can handle this huge life shift.
I have been abusing alcohol for 8 years and finally decided I needed professional help. Schick is working so far for me. I've been 81 days sober as of today.
What the treatment is like:
There is a daily schedule of meds, vitals, and group. You will spend the mid morning through mid afternoon either completing a sleepy (propofol conscious sedation treatment where they ask you a series of questions related to getting sober, and staying sober) and counseling, or a duffy (ipecac aversion treatment where they give you ipecac and then have you drink alcohol. you quickly become ill to associate drinking with nausea.). Late afternoon are various groups.
Pros:
-The medical director at the hospital is a true patient advocator. Sabrina is incredible.
-The community. I felt safe sharing in group, and gained some friends I imagine will be with me for life.
-The counselor John. I've been going to therapy the past ten years, but HE is my favorite person I've talked through my mental health with. Compassionate, empathetic, just a good listener, and has great life advice. He's been there done that, and helped me see some great perspective. His lectures are also my favorite.
-The program. Schick gives all of the same literature that any other rehab gives, but also has the aversion therapy, and sedation treatment.
-The resources. The media wall, the counselors, the lectures, the movies, the hypnosis videos, the 4 agreements, etc. There are so many resources it was hard to take them all in. But theyre all powerful and have continued to help me outside of Schick.
Cons:
-The nursing staff. For the most part I didn't have a problem. But some of the staff had no bedside manner whatsoever. Some said misogynistic comments. Some did room checks late at night with little regard to patients sleeping. Some argued with other nurses in front of me. Either the nurse was great or the nurse was pretty unprofessional. And I didn't see much inbetween.
-Not a diverse group at all. As a black queer female I felt out of place here. It's mostly white men in their 30s and 40s.

| New Season – Portland Metro Treatment Center is an opioid addiction and recovery center in Portland, Oregon. They provide outpatient addiction treatment and medication assisted treatment. They accept Medicare and many major insurance providers. Portland Metro Treatment Center, operated by New Season Treatment Center, is an opioid addiction recove | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I have been to every clinic in Portland and this clinic is by far the best one the only problem is that corporate will not pay the nurses enough so they can't get anybody to work there there is so many people going to this clinic that they should be making piles of money I suspect that corporate in Florida is taking all the profits and not investing back in the clinic that's making them more money then any of there other clinics anywhere and it's not fair to the clients because they have to spend sometimes 5 hours to get there meds. I know I have had to go to the clinic 4 days I'm a row to finly get my 27 take outs they will only have one nurse to fill everyone's meds for the whole day because all the other nurses go on vacation at the same time and the clinic has no sense to call a temp agency for situations like this they just let us all suffer the whole day to get out meds as soon as they fix this. Well the service has gotten much better as long as they keep enough staff on it's the best clinic in the Portland metro area I have gone to 5 or them so far each with there own problems I don't want to have to wait in huge lines but a promise is a promise and I'm a honest person I want to believe . They have hi Ed more nurses so it has been much better experience to go there and it's the only clinic that I don't dread going to new season is more respectful as long as you stay respectful you will not have a problem remember they deal with probably close to a thousand people a day sometimes it just depends on how many of us M27 are here at the same time because it takes us a good 15 minutes to see the nurse and they have been working all morning and it gets donting doing the same thing all day and then dealing with us try to take your problems to your counselor first because when everyone is irritated it's hard to get along and as long as everyone trys to get along and stay calm the smother things go and the days that are bad you just have to deal with it laitly there it's been smooth I'm I'm and out in less then 30 minutes most time and that is a blessing I have been other places I will not mention them there not worth it I have spent 8 hours a day in them for weeks on end when I was just starting out it was a nightmare but it's never been that bad here over Christmas was tuff but it's back to normal again thank God if you are having problems with fetty please come here and get help I have lost so many people I loved to that crap and I love opiates don't tell anyone lol but fentanyl is not a opiat it's poison made in buckets is sewers I'm not joking and it is just imatating opiats anyway and killing you at the same time please come get help it goes away you just have to give it a chance and save your mom and dad and brothers and sisters and your friends from the heartache that they will go through when they loose you it's just a matter of time it will happen unless you do something about it so think about your children and everyone that cares about you I care about you and I don't know you yet and hope to do so some day and not read about you in the paper in some story about tragedy ok please come be calm and you will get help thank you for reading my review I spend alot of time doing them when it matters and they have changed this place for the better so if you have been before come back it's better do it for all of us to ok later

Newport saved our daughter and set our family on a stable path to recovery.
Last fall we were losing our daughter to mental health challenges, PTSD and increasingly unsafe behaviors. It took 3 tries to get her to commit to Newport, but after the first few weeks of adjustment, she made more therapeutic progress with the team at Newport than in all of the other interventions we've tried to date (years of CBT therapy, DBT skills, and peer groups) .
We are now 3 months out from her discharge and we still have moments of stress but Newport put us back on the same team in terms of addressing challenges together and we have been super impressed with how our 15yo is using skills to navigate the tough moments.
We are extremely grateful to the Newport team for everything they did to get through to our child and earn her trust in their process.

This place saved me.
At first arrival, I was sketched out for sure. I was about to leave when two of the staff, Scott and John spoke with me and put me at enough ease to check in to the detox facility. I had so much trepidation but once I was in, I was so happy I stayed. Each and every one of the staff is amazing! From the nurses who are awesome(Boo especially), the BHT’s who genuinely care and go above and beyond to bring as much comfort as possible during my stay, to the therapists and medical clinicians, all were a huge part of my recovery. Even the C level, Bethany was present and available when needed.
The food was great and regularly improving.
The beds were comfortable, rooms are basic but everything that is needed. The room I was in had a Roku tv so I was fortunate but from what I heard every room will be getting one which is nice to be able to be able to secluded myself when I wanted and just zone out to shows to pass time.
All in all, I HIGHLY recommend this facility for any detox needs.

If you’re seeking to improve upon yourself and willing to change you will definitely get the help you need here.

We hit a wave of teenage destructive behavior at my house and we didn’t know what to do. At first I put this facility in my pocket and thought things might get better, guess what, they didn’t. They hit an all time high that made me call at 3am desperate for help. Every single person I spoke to, every therapist, doctor, nurse, and staff member was exceptional. My son left 5 days after the blast of “this isnt safe behavior anymore”. It was the best decision we have made for our son. I would recommend this facility to anyone. Our son had a wonderful 6 weeks focused, re-learning how to live, re-learning himself. Can’t say enough about Newport Academy!

I was on the verge of suicide. I wanted nothing more than to smoke weed and play video games. I fell into a horrible spiral that made me think the only way out was through killing myself. Then I got sent to Newport and at first I hated it with every ounce in my body. I made the argument that I didn’t need it and I could get sober on my own. But as time carried on I started to lean into the program. Newport saved my life and I will forever be grateful. The food is some of the best I’ve had, the staff is kind and caring and the clients are crazy but in a lovable way. If you are thinking about Newport please do consider it because they truly are there to help you!

They take self referrals as well as referrals from local emergency departme | Treatments Programs Payment Options | This was the best detox I have ever been to in my entire life. I have been there i think about 5 times. I never felt guilty or shamed for messing up and coming back, they always encouraged me that I could still do this and get sober and healthy. I ended up messing things up here and wasn't welcome anymore but I still to this day think back to all the good memories from the people I met here and the staff. I will forever be greatful to skagit detox. Today I am 5 months sober

| KLEAN Treatment Center provides assessment, individual chemical dependency counseling, group-education and process, recreation, spiritual, life skills, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and more. The sub-acute detoxification facility is available at the residential treatment center, and services are overseen by a treatment expert. KLEAN Treatment Center | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I personally had no issues, but there was tons of drama there and it was very stressful on me personally. I was only there a week and 3 days and left and flew back home to cali. There is a really good male psychiatrist there who actually I met with a few days before I left, I can not recall his name but with his insight he really helped me figure out the things causing me to self medicate. I ended up getting clean on my own and have been clean now for 11 months almost a year!

I was impressed with the care of the staff & how each client was treated as an individual. Sometimes a little laid back but overall I believe my life was saved there by following treatment plan developed for me. Everyone was so very nice, very direct & honestly showing concern. The food was Fantastic & kitchen staff very flexible. I learned much during my 30 days of treatment & use the knowledge daily to guide me in my one day at a time sober way of living. I am very pleased & all my family say it was money well soent.
