i was at newport for 55 days and it was quite possibly the scariest time of my life. i was struggling with ptsd, depression, SH and SI, and this place turned all of that around in less than 2 months. i know not everyone’s experience is the same and people are going to view residential treatments differently, but going here genuinely saved my life and my relationship with my parents. i’m almost an adult and have a job straight out of treatment, which wasn’t even a possibility where i was before going there. shoutout to the cc’s and my pod (pine) as well as the amazing chef, i miss him dearly and i hope he’s well. and of course the clinical team (counselor, individual therapist, family therapist). i do miss being there and it was a scary and anxiety-inducing but also incredibly helpful and healing chapter of my life.

My grandmother has been in this place for quite awhile after she fell and broke her hip. The staff are great and have answered all of our questions. Their CNAs have been really caring and seem to like who they are working with quite a bit which is good to see. They recently updated the lobby and dining room which look so good. It really gives it a nice feel when you first walk in. She loves being able to do down for meals and visit with people. I’m not sure about the bad reviews on here so I took some pictures to really show people how nice it is because we have had nothing but a positive experience. I will say the only thing I think they could improve on is getting rid of the carpet as it looks like the the housekeepers work so hard on it and I couldn’t imagine how hard it is to keep up with it. Other than that we have been impressed. The food is great and we often get a guest tray so we can eat with her. She really enjoys being outside in the court yards they have a visit.

Newport saved our daughter and set our family on a stable path to recovery.
Last fall we were losing our daughter to mental health challenges, PTSD and increasingly unsafe behaviors. It took 3 tries to get her to commit to Newport, but after the first few weeks of adjustment, she made more therapeutic progress with the team at Newport than in all of the other interventions we've tried to date (years of CBT therapy, DBT skills, and peer groups) .
We are now 3 months out from her discharge and we still have moments of stress but Newport put us back on the same team in terms of addressing challenges together and we have been super impressed with how our 15yo is using skills to navigate the tough moments.
We are extremely grateful to the Newport team for everything they did to get through to our child and earn her trust in their process.

Triumph Tx is very stubborn in how they consider the actual needs of an individual. That’s right, each individual is unique like a snowflake and not everyone needs help as some just need validation of being right. I know because I gave a simple description of my problem and even gave them a clean drug test and they still think I need treatment! Basically, because I can hold a conversation and show self discipline to not purchase or use marijuana - this snowflake could teach a drug class. How funny it is to me during their IOP classes they allow people to smoke cigarettes which is clinically shown to damage someone’s tooth health.. That could probably impact relationships negatively and also the person has a compulsive disorder of buying more cigarettes to maintain their.. Addiction! I transfered to Wecare for a while it's way closer to my home. But I'm not daily, and they will work with you, from where you are. They'll get around all the unnecessary red tape and BS they can, and every time I make my dose, it's high 5s and smiles all the way from the staff. They make you feel wanted, and you can't exaggerate how much some of us need that now. To me, it's worth the extra few miles... I'm driving though, not everyone has been as lucky as me on that so this is just my calculation and experience. Chin up.
Anyway yeah it's great for a methadone place. They're totally good enough. And in this industry that should be celebrated.

i’m not sure if she still works with sound health but jessica was a wonderful psychologist for me. living in seattle was hell and weekly appointments with her made it bearable. although the northgate building is in a rough area, Jessica and staff alike created a home-like environment for me and i was able to rely on it heavily. even a year + later the warmth and kindness shown to me by jessica, kate, and carly ruminate in my mind like a safety blanket. dr.pascoe was lovely as well.
weekly dbt and relationship group meetings including other like minded teens provided me with a sense of belonging and family. with an abusive home life and challenging school environment, the group therapy i attended was the loving community i needed. i still have the therapy worksheets as memories and references from our sessions together. i think about them often and hope their doing well.
the impact they’ve had on me is immeasurable, and for that i’m truly so grateful. i miss them dearly, as they were a resource for me when i was desperate for an outlet. someday i hope to provide someone with the same compassion and support that was given to me. the gratitude i hold for them is infinite, i wouldn’t be where i am today without them. ❤️🥹

ICS is the most wonderful, supportive, unique, caring and committed group of people I have encountered in my recovery process. I have been on this journey for 9+ years, and ICS has been apart of it the entire time. The space created by Dennis in my group sessions, is beyond the words I am going to use..he is informative, brilliant with his delivery, kind and sensitive to each individual, honors everyones place in life, offers such incredible support to the group as a whole. Scott has been my individual therapist for almost two years, and I have expanded into a new person because of him. The care, attention to my well-being, the emotionally safe space he has created, has allowed to me understand who I truly am. I can not thank the team of ICS for their care and commitment to helping the folks that come to them. For showing up the way that they do every session and for fully offering every bit of knowledge they can to the ones that want to do the work with them. I would not be in the place that I am, living my best life, with more compassion and understanding of who I am and how I want to show up in the world, if it were not for ICS being apart of my life.
