I was sent here at age 14 through 16 by a Milwaukee judge. I understand there is some concern about mistreatment of some youth in the program. I was sent for delinquency and as such completed the program through the North unit. While at wingspan, the entry unit, I was subjected to sexual assault, but it was from another resident, not from staff. There was some physical restraint from staff that pushed into abuse, but in my case was necessary to illicit compliance. Nothing too crazy beyond restraint tactics. They would bend your limbs in ways to cause pain without permanent injuries. One time I was pulled out of my bunk by my neck and pinned to the wall by one of the "harder" staff from the drug unit, in response to me flipping him off through the window. I never thought of it as abuse , I came from a physically abusive home, and this was very mild in comparison. All that said, Homme home actually did greatly helped my view of the world. In many ways I believe that it saved my life. I was on a destructive path and had an all or nothing attitude. My experience at the North unit was nothing like wingspan. Is was a great place for growth and understanding, and most of the staff were exceptional. Had I not had this experience, I don't think I would have had a chance at a productive and fulfilling life.

I was there as a troubled Youth in the early 2000s'at age 14 to 16, looking back now,I still had a long,long journey to recovery ahead of Me after I left,but the place did help alot,the staff were very patient and helpful,especially My therapist Sue Sheveland.This place left Me with great memories for a lifetime and I'm very thankful.

I just left Maehnowesekiyah after the inpatient program. This is the best place to get sober and get the help you need. The staff is great and the patients there really care about one another.

I went to Casa and was so surprised by how wonderful it was. We really all become a family. I remember 2 girls were pregnant and worried about their babies. A girl named Haley was one of them pregnant girls and today she's been sober for almost 2 yrs. She had her beautiful son and is doing amazing. Has her own apartment and just doing such great things in her and her son's life. I know Casa Clare and friendships she had helped her so much. The counselors really care about you and you can feel that. I'm so proud of so many people I meet there. Thank you Casa for all you do for so many lives

Casa Clare took me in the same week I called for help, after not showing up for 2 prior intake appointments. I was 38 weeks pregnant, I was deep in addiction, homeless, and lost. This program not only got me sober and offered support, they are the reason I was able to keep custody of my baby and continue to thrive almost 2 years later. They helped make postings on local support groups to help me gather needed baby supplies, let me bring my newborn to group sessions, and still to this day offer updated letters of completion and support. The counselors are able to connect with residents, as they have fought their own personal demons which makes sobriety feel so much more attainable. Thanks Casa Clare, I wouldn't be an independent, sober mama that's about to graduate college if it weren't for your support and guidance lifting me up from rock bottom. You guys truly helped to save mine and my babies life. ❣️

Troy Lee and Sabrina Spatz are single-handedly the reason for the growth I've had in my mental health. To be honest based on the last place(arbor mental health services) I tried seeking help from with my mental health and the "answers" I got from that place made me very learly/nervous to reach out to anyone ever again to seek assistance with my mental health. Seeing the reveiws on NCHC made me even more worried that I was going to be treated like another number or just another person with a list of problems that don't matter. After a few sessions With Troy and Sabrina i realized quickly with how they communicated with me and how they treated me that I knew I was in the right place with people who actually cared and wanted to see my mental health successes. What Ive come to realize is that I get and understand the rap that this place gets. To be honest alot of it is probably people who are upset because they aren't getting what they want or what they think they need. Troy and Sabrina are the type of people who will listen to what you have to say, apply your situation to what they have learned and what they have been taught and will apply their knowledge to your situation for the best mental outcome of whatever it is your trying to accomplish mentally. Hats off to Troy Lee and Sabrina Spatz. You guys are what the mental health field truly needs to be able to find success in your mental health. The industry needs more people like Troy and Sabrina.

We have adopted four children, all with special needs. Our current home study expires on May 20. Our current agency does not want to renew our study. They feel we are too old (in our 50's) and have enough children. We are saddened by the fact that we only need a renewal to add another child to our family. Are you familiar with any agencies that would renew our study for us? Help with finalization and AA? Despite our ages? We have passed the background checks and physicals five times now. We have had local media write about us and USA today did a video about our family. Even if we found our child tomorrow, we would not have time to remain with current study until finalization. my dad is there and they seem to take good care of him ever time I go there to visit there is always people going in and out of his room and checking on him the staff is very nice and helpful if you have questions he seems to like it there and that was the only place closest to Green Bay that would help someone with a trac they seem like they know what they are doing and my dad gets good care there for his situation he has ALS I would recommend the place it has the bistro there where u can get food and drinks if u want and they have a sitting and eating area too and there is a gift shop too if u need a gift for someone and there public bathrooms are always very clean

My experience working on the vent unit was awesome. Great RTs, RNs, and CNAs. They were all knowledgeable and helpful to the best of their abilities. Definitely a great learning experience. I wouldn't hesitate to admit a family member to their ventilation unit.

November 21st, 2023 the day of my birthday. When i told everyone i am not feeling well. So, as I rested in my bedroom, feeling under the weather, I was abruptly unable to speak or move. Fortunately, my brother's swift action led him to call the ambulance, which rushed me to the Green Bay ICU to battle a respiratory flu and Covid. Subsequently, I was transferred to Mount View Care Center on Level 2, where I received outstanding care and support. And, I am forever more thankful for the care I received, particularly from Amy Martin, who demonstrated remarkable compassion and empathy. My experience with the ventilator community was profoundly inspiring, and I wouldn't change a thing. Much love and gratitude! ❤️

Wausau CTC is an amazing place to help one start the road to recovery. They have guided me through my journey in recovery and I'll forever be thankful to the staff. They offer many different types of groups to help clients learn how addiction works and how to overcome different situations and stay living a healthy balanced sober life. The counselors are amazing and very understanding as well as helpful with finding different resources in the community. I am very grateful to everyone there that has had a part in my journey. My family and I have attended this program for well over 30 yrs between here and appleton and I can say it has saved our lives. I recommend this treatment center all the time. I was placed at Rawhide in 1972, for the summer camp program. I came away a changed youth. I returned to my hometown, and the high-school I had attended. It took a lot of work on my part, as well as the Lord's guidance, but I did graduate with my class. I know in the years since I was there, I had stumbled a few times, but the Lord with his grace, continues to bless me. Jan, John, Bart and Cherrie, saved my life! The way I was headed, I was sure to be in prison before long. I was able to return the life changing help later on in life, by serving on the board of directors for 12 years.

Most of these photos of the clinic on the Google search ain't even the Green Bay building. May be of another location. This clinic saved my life. Plain & simple. There's always gonna be downfalls to every solution - you're never gonna get a perfect remedy...however, the downfalls are worth the outcome. Anything is better than living as a slave to opiates. Addiction doesn't discriminate...it'll get anyone of any age, race, background, etc. Demographics don't matter. So don't judge those who are seeking treatment. Be happy they're getting help. Also, don't assume everyone that attends these clinics are low-life criminals. We have all walks of Life come here for treatment. Nurses, veterans, business men/women, & even grandfathers/grandmothers. People you wouldn't think would be in this situation. We even have patients who were on pain meds for cancer & other severe medical conditions prescribed by their doctor -- only to be left in the dust with a physical addiction to those medications. Addiction isn't always mental or psychological. If you're battling addiction yourself & have failed other typical treatments - Medication Assisted Treatment may be the answer. I do believe it should be used only after failing the other traditional methods.
