If you are tired of going it alone but are terrified to make the call like I was, read on. I did detox + 30 day residential and I am now 55 days sober thanks to their incredible staff and excellent program. When I made the call, I was met with an incredible admissions person (Tara) who stayed in contact with me through the whole process, whom I could text or call with questions, and was so friendly and supportive. When I arrived I was met with kind people who made the intake process painless, and took good care to make sure I was comfortable. I was grateful to have my own room and bathroom through detox, and could take my time adjusting before I had to interact with too many people. The facility itself is well taken care of, comfortable and clean; the staff is so warm, caring, and genuinely happy to be there; the health/mental health providers are skilled, knowledgeable, non-shaming, and also truly care & get it; the chef & food is amazing (Rich more than accommodated for my Celiac, he spoiled me!); and nearly everyone in the program was grateful to be there and wanted to do the work of healing. And, we had fun while doing it! I loved that there was also art & music therapy, and yoga as part of the program, and outside community groups that came in the evenings that we could choose to attend (AA, CA, HA, Recovery Dharma, etc.) I loved our weekly trips to the YMCA & Target, our nature walks, and our weekend outings (I was there for bowling, mini golf, the cinema, and the Milwaukee Domes). I spent plenty of nights with other residents in one of the 3 lounges, connecting, watching TV or movies, playing games, finding hobbies (some of us got into things like diamond art and origami while others got into Lego sets), and eating plenty of snacks (there is a whole ice cream freezer!) And I still had the ability to do solitary things like read or write, or take a nap if I needed. I felt like I had just the right amount of agency and autonomy while also having the right amount of supportive structure. It was such a good experience that it was honestly scary to leave (and hard to say goodbye!) but I left with so many new tools, new connections, and a recovery plan, that I knew I could do it. I'm so grateful that there is an amazing alumni program (thanks to Sonya!) and am definitely staying connected. The sobriety journey requires diligence, and you will only get what you are willing to put into the program, but thanks to Wellbrook, I'm motivated and excited about my life again, and am so happy to be sober and awake for it. There were so many reasons I had not to get help, but had I known what I had to gain, I wouldn't have hesitated for a minute. If you're on the fence, you are worthy of help. Make the call. EMDR has been what I've been missing. I went in to see her looking to HEAL. It's been a process, and it's been hard. But I've addressed issues that have been within me since childhood and there's still so much to uncover. Facing my past with Carol has given me hope. The staff was super nice and helped with all my needs to make it as painless as possible. They all go above and beyond to make the whole process as painless as possible. Whoever is doing the hiring of staff at this location is spot on. Even with many shifts, as it's 24/7 covered, I did not meet one person I did not like. On top of the daily group sessions that really sealed the deal with the program. Even though I was a short timer as I was just there to detox, everyone welcomed me with open arms. The only thing that is a negative for my experience is NAME TAGS on employees. When they have multiple shifts and people, it's hard to recall names. Especially when you are in a bad state when first coming on site. If it's a budget concern, I can start a Go Fund Me account to get name tags for the employees. The staff as a whole is very knowledgeable and incredibly helpful, going above and beyond to meet not only the patient's clinical needs, but also all their basic needs in order to make them as comfortable as possible throughout the entire process. I have now been at roots for a year and I can truly say that roots gave me my life back. We left our old pediatrician after that and have been with Dr. Sheedy ever since.He has watched my son grow from a tiny high-risk newborn into this wild 8-year-old boy, and he has watched my daughter grow into almost a teenager. He knows my kids, he talks TO them and not just over them, and he makes them feel safe. As a mom, that means everything to me. He is family friendly, honest, kind, funny, and just real. He never makes you feel dumb for asking questions and never makes you feel rushed. I truly trust him with my kids, and after 8 years I can say that with my whole heart. I am so incredibly grateful for my Wellbrook experience. If you are tired of going it alone but are terrified to make the call like I was, read on. I did detox + 30 day residential and I am now 55 days sober thanks to their incredible staff and excellent program. When I made the call, I was met with an incredible admissions person (Tara) who stayed in contact with me through the whole process, whom I could text or call with questions, and was so friendly and supportive. When I arrived I was met with kind people who made the intake process painless, and took good care to make sure I was comfortable. I was grateful to have my own room and bathroom through detox, and could take my time adjusting before I had to interact with too many people. The facility itself is well taken care of, comfortable and clean; the staff is so warm, caring, and genuinely happy to be there; the health/mental health providers are skilled, knowledgeable, non-shaming, and also truly care & get it; the chef & food is amazing (Rich more than accommodated for my Celiac, he spoiled me!); and nearly everyone in the program was grateful to be there and wanted to do the work of healing. And, we had fun while doing it! I loved that there was also art & music therapy, and yoga as part of the program, and outside community groups that came in the evenings that we could choose to attend (AA, CA, HA, Recovery Dharma, etc.) I loved our weekly trips to the YMCA & Target, our nature walks, and our weekend outings (I was there for bowling, mini golf, the cinema, and the Milwaukee Domes). I spent plenty of nights with other residents in one of the 3 lounges, connecting, watching TV or movies, playing games, finding hobbies (some of us got into things like diamond art and origami while others got into Lego sets), and eating plenty of snacks (there is a whole ice cream freezer!) And I still had the ability to do solitary things like read or write, or take a nap if I needed. I felt like I had just the right amount of agency and autonomy while also having the right amount of supportive structure. It was such a good experience that it was honestly scary to leave (and hard to say goodbye!) but I left with so many new tools, new connections, and a recovery plan, that I knew I could do it. I'm so grateful that there is an amazing alumni program (thanks to Sonya!) and am definitely staying connected. The sobriety journey requires diligence, and you will only get what you are willing to put into the program, but thanks to Wellbrook, I'm motivated and excited about my life again, and am so happy to be sober and awake for it. There were so many reasons I had not to get help, but had I known what I had to gain, I wouldn't have hesitated for a minute. If you're on the fence, you are worthy of help. Make the call. Save the only life you are able to save - your own.

I see Carol and it has been life changing. I have had several therapists over the years and none that have helped me get to the core issues like Carol has. Talk therapy is good and all, but in my experience it can only take me so far. EMDR has been what I've been missing. I went in to see her looking to HEAL. It's been a process, and it's been hard. But I've addressed issues that have been within me since childhood and there's still so much to uncover. Facing my past with Carol has given me hope. I guide my sessions and it all depends on the level of honesty I want to face. I've referred her to co-workers and family members. I wish everyone the type of freedom that comes from working on yourself and healing. And I wish everyone a therapist that's as experienced as Carol is.

This was the first time I have ever been to a Detox program. The staff was super nice and helped with all my needs to make it as painless as possible. They all go above and beyond to make the whole process as painless as possible. Whoever is doing the hiring of staff at this location is spot on. Even with many shifts, as it's 24/7 covered, I did not meet one person I did not like. On top of the daily group sessions that really sealed the deal with the program. Even though I was a short timer as I was just there to detox, everyone welcomed me with open arms. The only thing that is a negative for my experience is NAME TAGS on employees. When they have multiple shifts and people, it's hard to recall names. Especially when you are in a bad state when first coming on site. If it's a budget concern, I can start a Go Fund Me account to get name tags for the employees.

As a person who has been to most of the facilities in this area, I can honestly say midwest detox is by far the best one. The staff as a whole is very knowledgeable and incredibly helpful, going above and beyond to meet not only the patient's clinical needs, but also all their basic needs in order to make them as comfortable as possible throughout the entire process. I recommend Dr. Arassi to anyone who truly needs and wants help. He helped me to transform my life and I will forever be grateful for him and his staff for going out of their way at times, as well as their sincerity and willingness to help me when I was at the lowest of my low. I have made so many accomplishments that I use to think I would never be able to attain (going to college, maintaining important relationships and just being able to live a "normal" life again... to name a few). I have been coming here for about 3+ years. My life has changed so much so, that I can’t be thankful enough!!! The respect shown to me along with compassion & understanding that I’m sure was hard & challenging at times to give, was what I needed to live life again..Addictive behavior has it’s own demons filled with shame & denial, control issues & pride that most can relate to, as we all have our own story. I had a new set of challenges that came with my health diminishing right before my very eyes that made it seem impossible on a lot of days to get through. That started about 9months in. I couldn’t drive anymore and was using a walker at one point & cried a lot! .... None of us are above addiction & at that point I needed help more than ever, as I was so vulnerable just in my physical pain alone...I can tell you that I fought a lot of what needed to be done and tried bullying and controlling the areas I thought I should be in control of. I can promise you that you are in the right place. Whether court ordered, legal troubles, or like me, just wanted help and was tired of the struggle day in and day out, you can change. You WILL change!!! Dr Arassi, the counselors & all of the staff are here to help you. They want you to be here and feel good again. Trust them! Listen! Let your guard down and be broken. This program works. Don’t give up. There’s no shame in needing help. This world is hard enough without addictions. You will get through this. I promise you!!! Good luck!!!

Having been through the WisHope Step-Down Housing Program and Wis Hope Treatment Program, I can tell you first hand, that this is a program that can change your entire life, if getting sober and improving your life is truly what you are ready for and willing to do. I struggled with the use of heroin/fentanyl/pain pills for 20 years. It wasn't WisHope that made me stop using. It was "Me" that made "Me" stop using. And it is Wis Hope that co-signed every single step I took to NOT get high every day or give in to the cravings that made me doubt everything that I was doing. Wis Hope offered me the support I needed from day to day to make sure I reached the only goal I wanted to achieve. And that was to make sure I hit my pillow every single night sober! I didn't give a damn if I didn't get one thing done on my "To-do-Lists". And then when I was ready to take the next step, Wis Hope was ALWAYS and still is right there behind me supporting me and giving me the strength I need to realize that I am worth way more than I ever gave myself credit for. They helped me find my purpose again. I have so much to be grateful and thankful for every single day. Instead of chasing that next high and wasting my time degrading and de-facing myself, I amhappy and eager in accomplishing my goals to become the best version of myself. When I first got to roots I was very shut down and isolated, I wanted nothing to do with anyone including myself, I had no hope left. I have now been at roots for a year and I can truly say that roots gave me my life back. I have learned how to trust others, myself, and be more vulnerable which has helped me make connections with other sober people in my community, and rebuild the ones that I had tore down in my active addiction. The structure helped me to stay accountable and relearn what everyday life is like outside of using, I forgot how to be a human outside of drugs and alcohol and roots helped me to build up my skills again. This was not my first treatment, but it was definitely the best! WisHope offered me a different type of treatment using DBT that taught me skills to use in everyday life and on my sober journey. The staff members were compassionate, empathetic and also knowledgeable. Most are in recovery themselves which made their experiences more valuable to the program that helped nurture clients’ recovery process. The one on one therapy was like none I ever had, getting to the root of some of the contributors to my substance abuse. The recovery community is amazing here! I always felt heard, supported and encouraged every step of the way!

Some of the classes were great! The art therapy was amazing. Some of the staff was great. Juliana deserves a raise!! That girl handled some very difficult people over the weekend. Some of the aids were so kind and fun and helpful. Definitely some not so nice or invested staff. They did great with my food allergies. Overall was a helpful stay for mental health but a few employees that may need to be let go.

Dr. Sheedy is seriously one of those doctors I wish there were more of. He is so down to earth, so easy to talk to, and just one of those people who makes you feel comfortable the second you walk in. My daughter is almost 13 and absolutely adores him, and my son is 8 and loves him too.And honestly it is crazy to me that we have been with him for EIGHT YEARS now. He literally came into our lives when my son was born. Hendrix was considered high risk because of the Rh factor issue and there was concern he could possibly need a blood transfusion. Our pediatrician at the time took a last-minute vacation, and Dr. Sheedy was the doctor who came to Waukesha Memorial Hospital and took care of him.That was pretty much it for me. We left our old pediatrician after that and have been with Dr. Sheedy ever since.He has watched my son grow from a tiny high-risk newborn into this wild 8-year-old boy, and he has watched my daughter grow into almost a teenager. He knows my kids, he talks TO them and not just over them, and he makes them feel safe. As a mom, that means everything to me. He is family friendly, honest, kind, funny, and just real. He never makes you feel dumb for asking questions and never makes you feel rushed. I truly trust him with my kids, and after 8 years I can say that with my whole heart. I really wish they made more doctors like Dr. Sheedy. We are so lucky he walked into our lives when he did!

Came in with alot of pain, but was greeted by many friendly faces. Good bed-side manner by all employees. Kept me informed frequently on my progress, and kept comfortable as best that they could. I left with the medications I needed and full instructions what to do when I get home. Follow up appt was scheduled the next day. Great care here if you need help when you to see a doctor.

I think this place benefits everyone that comes to it. There was this one guy though that kept talking about getting loads all the time. There was another guy that was born a mouse and now is growing into a rat, He smoked weed the whole Time. Made it hard to focus on my recovery. Then he did the perky dance right outta here.
