Listened as an irate rather hostile elderly man vented to Kim at the front desk. She was warm, patient and kind to him. Called another location, explained his concerns and kept him informed of her progress. She was able to solve his problem. He was happy and told her a "Dad" joke on his way out. 8 years ago, this was my last resort for a healthcare system. Since then, it has completely transformed and has shown itself to be, in my opinion and experience, the gold standard for healthcare.
As a transgender person with chronic pain in a city full of religious hospitals, it can be difficult to find a doctor that takes me seriously. Not at Mayo. I recently had an ER visit turn into a 3 day inpatient stay due to possibility for complications, and I have never received better healthcare in my entire life.
The staff was knowledgeable, compassionate, with excellent bedside manner, and even more than that they actually listened to my concerns and took them seriously. My pain was managed thoroughly, I didn't have to settle for suffering alone in a room. The doctors asked all the right questions, they gave me every test they could think of to find the root cause of my visit and ensure my safety. The nurses made sure I was comfortable, wanted for nothing, and went above and beyond to make sure I would be alright.
I want to give a special shout out to Stephanie on the second floor. Stephanie, you are the best nurse I have ever had. Thank you so much for everything you did for me, and for the comfort you provided to me during a terrifying and agonizing ordeal. I hope you - and all the nurses I was lucky enough to be under the care of - get the daisy awards you so thoroughly deserve. I'll never forget you.

Excellent medical facility with high-quality professionals. I’ve been treated here on a number of occasions for a variety of different issues, as well as my family members. I recently had surgery here and the whole process has been very smooth, I’ve been told what to expect, and the staff have even been fun to chat with.

Good place to get your primary care done but if you need any kind of urgent treatment go to Prevea Instacare in Altoona or the ED. All they will do is send you there anyway if you can wait for an appointment i high recommend them.

Just want to thank nurse Maddie & Allie in ICU/critical care unit, on Jan 15,16,17, 2024 for taking good care of my son Christopher Boo. He was admitted on Jan 14th-20th in for a week. Got sick while visiting in town. I live in Tennessee. Those 2 Ladies call me letting me know his condition. I couldn't get there town snow in, airports shut down. I prayed for my son to breath again. This was my second time receiving treatment at Hazelden, and I truly felt a deeper sense of connection and growth this time (quality of service improved since last time ) This time, working with my counselor “nas” made a big difference in my experience. He showed great understanding, professionalism, and sensitivity while addressing my addiction challenges. His approach was thoughtful and respectful, and I always felt safe and heard during our sessions. Really loved the mental health part and mental health professionals!! I’ve learned so much about myself, and I’m proud to say I’m now two months sober.

I’ve just started working with Jennifer as my treatment counselor, and I can already tell she’s going to make a real difference in my recovery. She’s extremely kind and welcoming, which makes it easy to open up and feel comfortable in group sessions. She listens with genuine care and offers guidance that feels both supportive and practical.
What stands out the most is how she contributes to the group. She’s encouraging, fair, and always keeps us focused on moving forward. I feel like she truly wants to see each of us succeed in our recovery journeys. The second best thing was going to Hazelden.It's a beginning, it's not a solution. So don't fool yourself into thinking they will solve your problems. But I can honestly promise you, if you open yourself up and surrender all of your B.S..you can and will heal.I had suffered a stroke and was in a coma for 3 days before I admitted myself. If I would have continued to drink, I would not be typing this right now. I would be dead. You don't have to suffer alone anymore, I did that for way too long.So Im telling you, love yourself for a change. Look in the mirror at yourself. Hazelden taught me how to live a healthy life again and gave me my life back. They addressed the poor coping skills that landed me there and gave me new ones.
I continue to have nothing but the best of experiences with the staff at the St Paul location. I am grateful to so many people, but I do want to mention the incredible nursing department. Diamond and Ian, I look forward to every time I see you guys! Consider yourself very lucky if you get Dr. Exo - she's amazing! Laurie was a mentor to me at center City, and a big part of my decision to stick with the program.

I can't say enough good things about Transformation House. My experience here was a night and day difference from my previous treatment center. My counselor was incredible – so empathetic and understanding, which made it easier to be honest and work through things. The entire staff genuinely cares about your well-being. It's clear they're not just going through the motions.
What I appreciated most was that they focused on helping me find the right path forward, even after I left. The outpatient program they connected me with was fantastic. Today, I'm proud to say I've graduated, I'm in college, I have a job, and most importantly, I have my kids back in my life.
My advice to anyone going to Transformation House is to be honest with yourself and your counselor, and truly commit to the process. Stop making excuses and put in the work – they will meet you where you are and provide the support you need. I also built some strong connections with the other women there. The staff creates a supportive environment, but ultimately, your willingness to change is key. Transformation House truly changed my life, and I'm incredibly grateful for how far I've come.

Their attention to your needs is always focused on, and I feel like their staff is well trained to handle any situation one might struggle with. They are very open to the LGBTQ+ lifestyle, and I didn’t feel ostracized in any way. Each therapist has always been kind, considerate, respectful, and knowledgeable. I can't say enough good things about Nystrom and Associates in Eden Prairie! I've only had two therapy appointments so far, but I'm already looking forward to scheduling my next ones. Heidi Bishop has been absolutely wonderful! She creates a safe and supportive environment that makes it easy to open up about my feelings and experiences. I'm hopeful that our work together will help me navigate the challenges I'm facing.
I also had a Rule 25 assessment with Julien Monroe, and she was fantastic! She was not only sweet but also incredibly efficient with her time. It was clear that she genuinely understood my situation and communicated everything in a way that made me feel comfortable and heard.
I appreciate the variety of services they offer, including my upcoming telehealth appointment with an ARHMS worker. It's great to have multiple ways to connect, making it convenient to fit therapy into my busy schedule. Plus, having so many resources available in one place makes it easy to manage all my needs and appointments.
