I've been with the Wishope Recovery program for the last 8 months - 30 days residential, 30 days transitional, and 190 days in sober living. I spent 90 days total in programming learning about addiction, recovery, and about myself. The staff was extremely supportive and helpful at every step along the way. They have answered my questions, listened to my fears, and celebrated my achievements. I would not be where I am today if I had not been a part of this program. I tried to get sober by myself for years before stepping into the residential facility, and there I found the pathway to finding and maintaining my sobriety going forward. I am very appreciative and thankful for this program.

From homelessness and on the verge of sacrificing what life i had, I took the advice of a counselor to go to a mental hospital. During my 12 day detox I was told about Wishope and that rehab may be good for me. Being open to anything different than what I had became my focal point, so I took the offer and went to Woods Crossing to start my first rehab journey in residential. I'm so grateful that I took it! That's when I got sober. It was suggested that I do the step down program which took several months. That is when I learned to be sober. I learned about myself and trauma. I learned about addiction. I also learned that my flaws weren't weaknesses, but things I just wasn't good at. Yet still a part of me that made up who I am. I have learned to respect myself, set goals that are achievable, cope with what life throws at me sober, and how to love myself and smile again. God has thankfully removed the filter that I once looked at the world thru and given me one that is filled with love, faith in something bigger than myself, and respect to myself and others. By the grace of God I am now learning to LIVE sober. And what a blessing that gift is. A BETTER WAY TO LIVE. Thank you Wishope for giving me 12 months sober and pushed me to be uncomfortable at times, vulnerable at other times without judgment, and pushing me to be better. This experience has been worth everything to me and literally changed my life!

WisHope has helped me get my life back. Coming through this program has been the best decision I could have made. The staff is amazing and is always there for you any time of the day. I was able to learn so much about myself and how to continue working on myself for the rest of my life. Wishope helped me to identify my triggers and then how to cope with them. This is the first time that I have ever enjoyed seeing a therapist and actually focusing on how to better my life. This is my first rehab program, and I am very happy I selected to go here. I completed the step down program, and I believe this was a huge part of helping me to learn a new daily healthy routine. I am now 7 months sober, and without Wishope I wouldn’t be able to say that!(:

The WORTH IT program at Rogers is lifesaving. I am eternally grateful for every member of the team, every one of them went above and beyond expectations. They were always there if we needed anything and always on top of everything that needed doing or explaining. I would leave more stars if I could. I can not say enough about this facility, the staff, nurses and doctors are professional, attentive and caring. My stay helped me in so many ways to understanding my addiction. They saved my life and my marriage, providing me with a path to lasting sobriey. Even after discharge I received phone calls checking up on my mental and physical well being. My family was encouraging me to get help. I put it off as long as possible. If I was going to treatment, I wanted a very nice program and a private room. I finally went to The Manor. This place saved my life. The staff were very patient with me. I had been to treatment before but it was nothing like this program. I liked having individual therapy. Also, my wife and I had a lot of couples counseling. I was also able to do some work and that helped relieve stress about losing clients or my company. I have been home now for several months. It has been difficult at times but I am doing well. I have my life and my family back.

I was given an ultimatum by my wife. Go to The Manor or get a divorce. You do a lot of hard work there and within two weeks it was clear that my addiction to meth was a co addiction evolving primarily from my addiction to a controlling and mentally abusive wife. The staff is wonderful..they ask the tough questions but we do the work. I'm now happily divorced and drug free! Thank you to the amazing staff!

After years of feeling scared and numb, this place gave me a sense of safety I hadn’t felt in forever. It was women-only, which helped me open up without fear. The staff understood trauma, really listened without judgement. I started to feel like a mom again, like I mattered. Could’ve used more time on parenting stuff, but it was still powerful. I left feeling stronger, like I actually had a future again.

I came in broken from PTSD and alcohol and wasn't sure this place could help. They surprised me. Had real therapy that went deep, not just surface stuff. EMDR hit hard but helped me sleep again. Talkin with other vets made me feel less alone. Docs knew what they were doing too. Only thing I’d change is more group time. Still, I walked out stronger than I came in. Real thankful for that.

Came here after struggling with pain meds from a work injury. WCS got me set up on Suboxone, which made a big difference. I appreciated being able to stay in touch with my wife and kids throughout, that really kept me grounded. They also helped me start thinking about getting back to work. Not everything was perfect (wait times could be better) but the staff truly care. It’s a solid place if you're serious about getting clean.

I came to Brown Deer adult residential having given up, feeling like I was a lot cause, and no hope that I had a chance or that they could help. They allowed me to not only come get treatment, but they gave me the tools I needed to change my life. I will be the first to admit their jobs are anything but easy, but they do a phenomenal job. I have only ever been in the adult residential side, so I cannot speak on the other units, but the adult residential program absolutely changed my life. They prioritized my safety, comfort, and taught me how to prioritize me. When I think of when I was finally able to turn my life around, Brown Deer will always be a huge part of that. The impact they had on me is truly remarkable. After 6 weeks there and completing the program I can confidently say I have confidence in myself, I love myself, I am proud of myself, I am not a lost cause, and I CAN DO HARD THINGS. I am not the same person I was at admission, not even a little bit. If you are struggling and feel like you are out of options, give this place a shot and be willing to try their advice because even when you don’t want to hear it, it works. Thank you to the team at Brown Deer for giving me the tools to turn my life around. Yall brought the light back into my eyes and I will be forever grateful. p.s. If you need help getting your life on track and you struggle with addiction this is the place to go. I tried many other avenues and nothing worked. The staff is super friendly. Jeff has done a great job giving patients multiple ways to check in. No longer do you have to guess your place in line with the new system. I never wait more than 5 minutes and honestly I am usually able to walk in and walk out within 2 minutes. The nursing staff truly care about you. It has been sad to see some people who work there (like counselors) leave but that’s life. People move on to bigger and better things. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting help with opioid addiction. They helping me regain control of my life.

I see Carol and it has been life changing. I have had several therapists over the years and none that have helped me get to the core issues like Carol has. Talk therapy is good and all, but in my experience it can only take me so far. EMDR has been what I've been missing. I went in to see her looking to HEAL. It's been a process, and it's been hard. But I've addressed issues that have been within me since childhood and there's still so much to uncover. Facing my past with Carol has given me hope. I guide my sessions and it all depends on the level of honesty I want to face. I've referred her to co-workers and family members. I wish everyone the type of freedom that comes from working on yourself and healing. And I wish everyone a therapist that's as experienced as Carol is.

I have been here twice now. Unfortunately, both times were for ER visits, but the staff is tremendous. I have been to the hospital too many times to count (I have kids and, as a youth Pastor, make hospital visits) and our experiences here have been among the best.
