My family was encouraging me to get help. I put it off as long as possible. If I was going to treatment, I wanted a very nice program and a private room. I finally went to The Manor. This place saved my life. The staff were very patient with me. I had been to treatment before but it was nothing like this program. I liked having individual therapy. Also, my wife and I had a lot of couples counseling. I was also able to do some work and that helped relieve stress about losing clients or my company. I have been home now for several months. It has been difficult at times but I am doing well. I have my life and my family back.

I was given an ultimatum by my wife. Go to The Manor or get a divorce. You do a lot of hard work there and within two weeks it was clear that my addiction to meth was a co addiction evolving primarily from my addiction to a controlling and mentally abusive wife. The staff is wonderful..they ask the tough questions but we do the work. I'm now happily divorced and drug free! Thank you to the amazing staff!

From homelessness and on the verge of sacrificing what life i had, I took the advice of a counselor to go to a mental hospital. During my 12 day detox I was told about Wishope and that rehab may be good for me. Being open to anything different than what I had became my focal point, so I took the offer and went to Woods Crossing to start my first rehab journey in residential. I'm so grateful that I took it! That's when I got sober. It was suggested that I do the step down program which took several months. That is when I learned to be sober. I learned about myself and trauma. I learned about addiction. I also learned that my flaws weren't weaknesses, but things I just wasn't good at. Yet still a part of me that made up who I am. I have learned to respect myself, set goals that are achievable, cope with what life throws at me sober, and how to love myself and smile again. God has thankfully removed the filter that I once looked at the world thru and given me one that is filled with love, faith in something bigger than myself, and respect to myself and others. By the grace of God I am now learning to LIVE sober. And what a blessing that gift is. A BETTER WAY TO LIVE. Thank you Wishope for giving me 12 months sober and pushed me to be uncomfortable at times, vulnerable at other times without judgment, and pushing me to be better. This experience has been worth everything to me and literally changed my life!

WisHope has helped me get my life back. Coming through this program has been the best decision I could have made. The staff is amazing and is always there for you any time of the day. I was able to learn so much about myself and how to continue working on myself for the rest of my life. Wishope helped me to identify my triggers and then how to cope with them. This is the first time that I have ever enjoyed seeing a therapist and actually focusing on how to better my life. This is my first rehab program, and I am very happy I selected to go here. I completed the step down program, and I believe this was a huge part of helping me to learn a new daily healthy routine. I am now 7 months sober, and without Wishope I wouldn’t be able to say that!(:

I’ve been a patient of West Grove in Oak Creek for around 5 years, maybe longer. In the beginning I saw various providers for my psychiatry needs, but have been connected and consistently seeing Dr. Kurter for around 3 years now. Wow! He changed my life. I am so thankful to have him as a provider. When we met, he reassured me that there was help for what I was seeking help with and was able to connect me with medication that has made a drastic change in how I see the world. I struggled for years and years with my mental health, and what I appreciated about him was that he was so knowledgeable about what I was experiencing and could explain to me in a way that I could understand why I was experiencing certain things as well as how I could help myself and how to monitor myself in the future. He was also so helpful to me and my family when my husband and I decided to try for another baby. I think what’s kind of cool is Dr. Kurter knows me so well that he can tell when I’m struggling with my mental health or other needs based off of just a few minutes of talking.
I’ve also been connected with my therapist Anna for 2-3 years now. She is amazing! She listens to me so well, and doesn’t push me too hard to get to deep into the things I need to address until I’m ready. She’s seen me at some low moments, and has taught me how to work through those times and always emphasizes taking care of myself.
I also appreciate Elizabeth at the front desk. She knows me by my nick name, since I don’t generally go by my full name, and I seriously appreciate that because i don’t have to explain who I am over and over again, she just knows. Elizabeth always helps me schedule appointments out months at a time, which is super helpful for my scheduling needs. Honestly, Dr. Kurter and Anna are always super flexible in their scheduling as well, which is super helpful. Elizabeth also helps me figure out any insurance questions I have, which is so helpful because I can be kind of clueless about co pays and all that stuff.
I also forgot to mention, I absolutely love that I can see my therapist through telehealth. I have a newborn and it’s just much easier to not have to travel with her when I have an appointment.
I love West Grove so much and appreciate what they’ve done for my life so much that I’ve actually referred 2 other people for care here. I truly mean it when I say, if you’re looking for providers who care about you as a whole person, I definitely recommend going to West Grove.

Before my insurance changed I worked with Ryanne Wendt and Alyssa Sydalko. (not sure if their names are spelled correct) I have nothing but positive things to say about both of them. My life will be forever changed by them. Ryanne is an amazing counselor who makes difficult issues easy to talk about and helps you to see what you’re doing right as well as areas to improve on. Wish I could still see her, if my insurance situation changes definitely going back to her. Best counselor I’ve ever worked with! Alyssa changed my life forever too! She took me seriously when discussing symptoms and gave me a referral for a pulmonologist instead of messing with medication combinations that did nothing to relieve my symptoms.... turns out I have narcolepsy! Alyssa was the one medical provider who went the extra mile for me ... after 10+ years of misdiagnosed symptoms she is the person who sent me down the path for a proper diagnosis and symptom management. That process would have taken years to figure out on my own. These ladies are amazing providers who definitely care about their clients! If you get the chance to work with them, do it!
