I have been up to Sage West, Lander numerous times in the past couple of months. From Sherry at Reception to the folks in the Lab (Abdullah & others), and more recently with the Radiology Staff, my experience could not have been more positive! These folks are professional, very, very capable and so very, very kind and considerate. Recently, being observant, all on their own the Radiology Staff, prompted by Allison, arranged for me to complete my MRI and CT scan the same day, without my having to wait. This eliminated my having to come back the next day for the CT scan. You should know that these are exceptional folks, seeing me as a person and not just a procedure. Sherry has been so helpful up-front meeting my spouses need for extra care without our asking for help. Went last week for my first appt. after moving to the area. Wow like all the reviews have said everyone is nice and caring. I absolutely love my new doctor, Doctor Donahue she listened to what my concerns were and then we talked about those and everything else. She took time to listen and talk to me like a person not a number in my book that makes her a great person and awesome doctor. the whole staff that I interacted with there was awesome from the front office, nursing, to the vampire (can't remember the term for the ones that draw blood....LOL)

I have actively tried to recover from addiction for more than 10 years. Southwest Counseling was my 7th attempt at treatment. I failed to get what I needed to recover from 6 previous treatment centers across the country. Countless thousands of dollars were spent in an attempt to relieve my suffering from Alcoholism. It wasn’t until attending the Therapeutic Community Program at Southwest Counseling Service (S.C.S) that a solution was found. I can unequivocally and without a doubt say that S.C.S has saved my life. This program works. If you or a loved one is suffering from addiction I highly recommend S.C.S. be your first and likely only place to receive assistance in overcoming the effects of this illusive disease. Through the program I was able to discover the underlying cause of my ailment and more importantly how to navigate life without the need of substances to make life more bearable. It is in fact a difficult program, but a difficult problem demands a complex solution and is well worth the short term discomfort to achieve lifelong happiness. I only wish someone had ushered me to S.C.S sooner, I know a lot of heartbreak and suffering could have been spared. MY OLD MENTAL DOCTOR RECIEVED A 10 Star from me.The lady at the front desk on College Hill who was the secratary admission clerk receives A 5 star.The counselor receives a 1 star.The Bupropian is Working Doctor.The ladies at ankeny And whoever closed my case without sending me a letter or assuring I was contacted receive A 1 star.THE TREATNENT CENTER FINALLY RECIEVES A 10 STAR .That's after A 4 year wait. THE BUPRION WELLBUTRIN WORKS Mental DOCTOR .I'm still using old meds that you prescribed to me that are expired from 2016.Now I need a smoking cessation that does not do anything like a sugar pill.I HAVE BEEN TAKING DAILY MY OLDEST MEDS FIRSTWELLBITRIN 300 LIKE YOU SAID.Thank You.But now I am suffering from post traumatic stress and stress and anxiety. I WONT TAKE THE SEROQUEL THATS WHY THE BUPROPIAN DIDNT WORK .I don't even get headaches from the wellbutrin.It doesn't do anything but stop my hunger. HELLO Its 2022.I am ok.

It would be dramatic to say that Spirit Mountain Recovery saved my life, BUT they did provide the compass and leadership that lead me along the path to self discovery and healing I so desperately needed to actually begin living life. The staff are almost entirely in recovery themselves or have worked in that field for many years, and most of those in recovery (all but one FT staff member) went through Spirit Mountain. As such, they were not only qualified to light the way but have also lived the journey firsthand and so were able to easily see the pitfalls and challenges that inevitably present themselves and demonstrated daily how to navigate them effectively. All of the activities were ultimately based on learning to live a satisfying life of recovery--living with purpose and joy through connection, willing honesty, and discomfort (where growth happens) without the need for substances to alter what I am truly feeling and thinking in the moment. Being active is an important aspect of the experience at Spirit Mountain, and for me that was hugely beneficial because my addictions sucked all of the pleasures of life from me, I no longer desired to do anything but feed the beast. Spirit Mountain Recovery was nothing short of a life saver for me. I was a client at The Foundry Treatment center in 2018 and to this day my experience and knowledge I acquired at "The Ranch" is invaluable. I have had my fair share of struggles since, as many of us do in recovery. That said, without the tools I obtained from the clients to the techs, clinical staff all the way up to the Clinical Director, I would be as good as dead. I learned patience, self-care, and most importantly forgiveness. The simplest things such as being able to be mindful and practice awareness are vital to staying on track. Understanding your own red flags and being comfortable and open to vulnerability were instilled upon me in this program and I am forever in debt. They took an approach to treatment I had never experienced. We were more than just a number being herded around. They fought for us and our recovery. I wish everyone got the opportunity to have this experience and at the drop of a hat I would go back to visit and thank each and every one working there.
