I have actively tried to recover from addiction for more than 10 years. Southwest Counseling was my 7th attempt at treatment. I failed to get what I needed to recover from 6 previous treatment centers across the country. Countless thousands of dollars were spent in an attempt to relieve my suffering from Alcoholism. It wasn’t until attending the Therapeutic Community Program at Southwest Counseling Service (S.C.S) that a solution was found. I can unequivocally and without a doubt say that S.C.S has saved my life. This program works. If you or a loved one is suffering from addiction I highly recommend S.C.S. be your first and likely only place to receive assistance in overcoming the effects of this illusive disease. Through the program I was able to discover the underlying cause of my ailment and more importantly how to navigate life without the need of substances to make life more bearable. It is in fact a difficult program, but a difficult problem demands a complex solution and is well worth the short term discomfort to achieve lifelong happiness. I only wish someone had ushered me to S.C.S sooner, I know a lot of heartbreak and suffering could have been spared. MY OLD MENTAL DOCTOR RECIEVED A 10 Star from me.The lady at the front desk on College Hill who was the secratary admission clerk receives A 5 star.The counselor receives a 1 star.The Bupropian is Working Doctor.The ladies at ankeny And whoever closed my case without sending me a letter or assuring I was contacted receive A 1 star.THE TREATNENT CENTER FINALLY RECIEVES A 10 STAR .That's after A 4 year wait. THE BUPRION WELLBUTRIN WORKS Mental DOCTOR .I'm still using old meds that you prescribed to me that are expired from 2016.Now I need a smoking cessation that does not do anything like a sugar pill.I HAVE BEEN TAKING DAILY MY OLDEST MEDS FIRSTWELLBITRIN 300 LIKE YOU SAID.Thank You.But now I am suffering from post traumatic stress and stress and anxiety. I WONT TAKE THE SEROQUEL THATS WHY THE BUPROPIAN DIDNT WORK .I don't even get headaches from the wellbutrin.It doesn't do anything but stop my hunger. HELLO Its 2022.I am ok.

I am so glad I started working with High Country Behavior Health for my mental health needs. My therapist, Charity, has literally saved my mental health and has provided me the tools to enhance how I approach emotionally trying times. Little over a year ago I took my son to the ER. Didn’t know what was going on with him but the nursing staff and their training saved my son’s life. He was diabetic and I never knew for how long but thanks to the nurses in the ER. They found out what was wrong and we were flown out ASAP. Today he is alive and well and we have him on an insulin pump. We are adjusting well with his new life and I wake up daily and look at my boy and I’m so thankful he’s here after seeing him so sick and us showing up that night while he was going into DKA. So again. Thank you to the night shift nurses working that night! There are no words to describe how thankful I am! I’m sure my boy is thankful too but he’s just a normal 13 year old in his own world these days! Haha

I've had the pleasure of meeting and receiving counseling from Julia Murray. I was a bit nervous at first after reading the reviews but my experience with her was completely different from everyone else. Julia was very understanding, caring, helpful and super informative of my options with dealing with my issues. I would definitely recommend her, especially with situations that may need legal help. My only complaint would be that they are only open Monday through Thursday, other than that, she is a great counselor to meet with.

I have been being treated for grief and separation anxiety of my wife of 37 years. I have been seeing Gabby. She has been so awesome. Easy to talk to, empathetic, and uplifting. Her counciling methods include coping methods that are effective and are practical and work. Her positive attitude is infectious and really helps. The staff and therapists at Cedar Ridge literally changed our lives. Our daughter learned so much about herself during her stay and about making smart choices for her life. She came back to us as a better version of the young lady we know and love, but that we could not help on our own due to the traumas of her past. This place is by far and I mean by far the place you send your child when as a parent you have become so self absorbed with yourself, your money or your own life when your child doesn't conform to your lifestyle and has become a liabilty to you, also when you can manipulate the court system to show your hatred of the person you decided to have the child with and decide to send them to this out in the middle of nowhere godforsaken facility. When you send your son to this facilty you can guarantee that he will be surrounded by adults that have no caring or show the least of compassion to your son and if by chance the child has some type of a learning issue you have not found the right individuals to help your child, however large or small that is. This place isnt cheap either, so what the need for such large sums of money that is payed for being that there is no place to spend it, is confusing So lest be known to all that when you send your child here he will be bullied and surrounded by predators (other students), and you have failed as a parent.....and more than likely your child will see as they grow older the same uncaring coldness that you had when you sent your child here...

I've been a fan of Jaywalker Lodge for years, and my respect for what they've built has only grown over time. As a fellow behavioral health professional who has referred clients to Jaywalker and spent time on the ground in Carbondale with their team, I've had a front-row seat to what this program actually produces, and it's the real thing. Let me start with the obvious: the location is extraordinary. Carbondale is one of the most beautiful places in this country, and Jaywalker leverages that setting in a way that actually matters clinically. Their clients aren't just staring at mountains, they're experiencing all that incredible place has to offer (skiing, mountain biking, etc.). That connection to the outdoors isn't a selling point, it's part of how men rediscover what it feels like to be alive. But what makes Jaywalker truly exceptional isn't the scenery, it's the community. Carbondale has embraced this program in a way I've never seen in any other treatment market. You can't walk through town without running into an alumnus who stayed, built a life, found work, and put down roots. I've seen this firsthand - walking those streets, talking with people who came for treatment and never left because they finally had something worth staying for. That kind of living proof is rare and powerful. I've sat with their clinical and leadership team, seen how they operate up close, and walked away more impressed each time. Their communication is exceptional, their collaboration with families is thoughtful, and the sustained recoveries I've seen in referred clients speak for themselves. This is a team that isn't content with where they are, they're always evolving, always raising the bar, and they hold themselves to a standard the rest of the industry should be studying. This was my first time in residential treatment. I’ve struggled with alcohol/addiction for the majority of my life. I found real help here (for my mental health as well). I found real people here. It was honestly some of the best weeks of my life. If any of my family or friends are struggling with drinking/using I will refer them here. This is a special place. A place that fosters cultivation of real personal growth. I’m currently in their IOP program after graduating residential, and it’s excellent aftercare. This place changed my life. Of course it came with challenges; but the environment, culture, and staff here are all great. I’m the one who had to commit to recovery, but this is the place to do it.

I don't even know where to start... In my darkest of times, when I felt so lost, hopeless, and worthless and I felt like the world was better off without me, I walked into these doors. And it felt like home. I felt warmth, love, and a sense of security. I had people surround me, and walk with me through some of the worst things in my life. And they showed me how to look inside and find what it was at my core that had left me feeling so empty. They showed me how to fill it with self love, forgiveness, understanding, and confidence. And I have used every moment of my time there as stepping stones and a foundation in everyday of my life since. I truly wouldn't be alive today without this place and all of the staff.

Cirque is a world class facility. The staff is amazing. From the therapists, to counselors, to the front line and shift lead. The staff is great here. The owners are awesome, very personable, and seem to be involved which is nice. They have any amenity you can possibly think of. From the horses, to the sauna, the full size basketball court. The food is amazing. The views are breathtaking. I really enjoyed the groups and the one on one with my counselor/therapist. The healing you receive here is real and I’m eternally grateful for that healing I did receive here, and hope to continue to carry that with me and share it along the way. Thanks Cirque !

Ardu' Recovery..... Oh my love... I obtained more in 45 days at their residential than I had previously in a combined 12 months elsewhere. I can not convey through mere words what they've created. A fruitless and in vain attempt would be to say that the staff aren't there for a paycheck, they are here to change lives and the do daily. That they alongside the clients help to cultivate a space of healing where one truly feels capable of being present, accountable, and vulnerable. That this is the place and these are my people. That I hope you find the courage within you to walk through those doors and the dedication to change your own life, with the help of some absolutely amazing people along the way. Though those would all be severe understatements, so if you're curious at least come check us out. What's the worst that could happen? Your life could be everything you imagined and more, things you couldn't even fathom brought to fruition, families healed and faith restored? The streets will always refund your misery but if you're looking for a place full of love, light, and like minded individuals welcome home relative.

I was at this facility in 2023. Katie was so helpful to me and every single staff member was very supportive and accommodating to everyone. I highly recommend APN to anyone struggling with mental health and other issues related to it. I’ve been clean since I was there for my month long treatment.

Wow, what an amazing time I have had! Flying in from North Carolina, MK, Sean and Becca were really helpful and respectful of my needs for sobriety. MK, guided me through Admissions and played a key part during my time at Pinnacle. I was worried at first that this facility was just like any other rehabs. Just a common money grab, but to my surprise Pinnacle really wants the best for you. After coming from NextStep Detox, I was greeted by Anthony and Sean! They gave me a great orientation and the clients gave me a warm welcome! Becca and Sean over saw our programming and were very helpful with personal development and were very attentive regarding outside needs during treatment. If I needed to see my legal team or doctors, etc. Becca and Sean would take took time out of their schedule to assist me. The support staff are very friendly, they treated me like I was their best friend. If I got out of line the support staff would help correct me in a way that wasn’t punitive. Anthony and Brooke are both in recovery and so is most staff, they really cared about your sobriety, and will guide you through recovery. The food scene is amazing, nutritious and very healthy. Chef Ed is off the chart, a great chef. I’m not a salmon fan, but he made me a delicious meal to substitute for Salmon! Chef Ed picks fresh foods, so nothing is old or boring! The Interns, and therapists really want to see you be successful. My therapist Julie has gone above and beyond when it came to help my mental health. Her approach to mental health is really awe inspiring. I really appreciate Cassie, Cory and Londyn help as well! The activities are made to help you feel comfortable while working on yourself. Troy, MK, Sean and Becca have built a truly remarkable treatment facility. From Mental Health treatment, to the recreational activities, their passion to help clients are more than I expected. I’m forever grateful to the love and caring team members at Pinnacle for my journey through Sobriety. If you’re looking for mental health care, please reach out to Pinnacle. What an incredible journey recovery has been! I came to this place—and wow, I’ve never experienced anything so beautiful in my life. The people who work here are truly extraordinary—so kind, compassionate, and full of love. Honestly, they feel like angels walking among us. I’ve never felt so deeply cared for and loved by people who didn’t even know me.

Pinnacle Recover is amazing. All of the staff go over the top to meet your expectations. The program gives you everything you need to achieve your goals and gives you all the tools you need to help you in recovery. The food is outstanding, Chef Ed is so compassionate about his cooking. I've never had a well balanced diet as good as it was at Pinnacle. The activities you get to enjoy are so much fun. Sober softball, hiking, bowling, batting cages, ice baths, open mic night are some of my favorites. The facility is more than adequate, its an amazing house that is filled with comfort. Overall, Pinnacle has changed my life in so many positive ways. I feel as if my life is starting over and I get the opportunity to be happy again. Shout out to Katie my therapist for all the help and knowledge she has given me. I'm ready to go out into the world and face all the challenges it brings head on. Thank you Pinnacle!!
