From ages 14-18 this was my home. And because of the staff and their compassion and kindness that I am, who I am today. I was able to graduate high school and get my diploma, had I gone home that never would have been possible. The care that is given to the children there is without a doubt extraordinary. I’ve spent my whole life in the system, YDS and their staff were the only ones to treat me like a person and not a case number or a “troubled kid”. Not all group homes or facilities in the state of Wyoming cared much for kids like me, YDS was the only place that was able to help me. For that they have my gratitude and respect for life.

But recovery is there if you really want it. if you don't want it then you wont get it. Dana,Lesa,Morgan are the greatest. March 25th of this year(2026) I've been clean and sober for 2 years. I got into some shenanigans and such, and ran away even, but it always felt like they could see through these acts and actually see someone who needed some help and guidance. Staff were amazing, and I actually learned while in school. It felt like the first place were I could be myself and grow as a person. Shout out Julianna, my therapist. They were the first place I went to were they never outsourced a need for rehabilitation to punishing you or controlling you. The entire InnerBalance team is incredibly well versed in treatment regarding addiction, the mind, body, and spirituality. They are genuinely invested in each client's total wellbeing and recovery, both during and after completion of the program. Their ongoing support and education offered on a myriad of topics, along with mental health support, biochemical repair, functional medicine, supplementation, and nutrition program, have greatly impacted my continued recovery efforts. The team is not only knowledgeable and experienced, but genuinely compassionate toward everyone walking through their doors. Their PHP and IOP programs are exceptionally well-run, and I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone seeking meaningful, structured support. I struggled with early life growing up in the small town in Wisconsin. Didn’t realize how bad it was until I was hopelessly hanging on by a thread. Nearby recovery resources helped me discover Choice House, and that is where my life really began to change in unimaginable ways. I worked through early recover here; spent three months inpatient at the lookout, and four months in outpatient sober living while transitioning into a new unimaginable fulfilling life. The choice house team was extremely helpful in guiding and encouraging me through the difficulties of early recovery. Much love and appreciation for the whole team.
