Douglas, WY | Solutions for Life in Douglas, Wyoming, is part of the High Country Behavioral Health System. This particular location is a transitional housing program for persons with severe and persistent mental illnesses. Whether you’re looking for help with addiction, struggling with mental health or dealing with both, High Country has created a community | Treatments Programs Payment Options | From ages 14-18 this was my home. And because of the staff and their compassion and kindness that I am, who I am today. I was able to graduate high school and get my diploma, had I gone home that never would have been possible. The care that is given to the children there is without a doubt extraordinary. I’ve spent my whole life in the system, YDS and their staff were the only ones to treat me like a person and not a case number or a “troubled kid”. Not all group homes or facilities in the state of Wyoming cared much for kids like me, YDS was the only place that was able to help me. For that they have my gratitude and respect for life.

I had multiple staff ask if I needed anything to drink and if I had been helped yet. The staff was on top of getting me scheduled immediately and I saw Donna the next day. I was immediately set up with a follow up visit the next week as well as an appointment with Brandee for talk-therapy. The staff are busy, if you have a little patience and are understanding, it really can go a long way. Every person that I personally spoke to were professional, understanding, and on top of the care I asked for. I was not there for any type of addiction treatment, I was simply asking to continue my care there after moving to Wyoming from a different state. I understand how stressful it may be to have patience when you feel sick, or in a rush, however they are working fast behind the scenes and if you just take a breath, and have a seat, they really are an amazing staff.

I went through cwcc almost 2 years ago. And everybody I was involved with was great. This place changed my life for the good. I've been clean and sober ever since I left. But recovery is there if you really want it. if you don't want it then you wont get it. Dana,Lesa,Morgan are the greatest. March 25th of this year(2026) I've been clean and sober for 2 years. And my life continues to get better every day. So CWCC is a great place if you want help but if you don't want it or don't try then no place will work. Cwcc will always have a place in my heart and soberity

Their approach encompasses b | Treatments Programs Payment Options | InnerBalance is a hidden gem among inpatient rehabs. I struggled with addiction for many years and went to several inpatient rehabs. Nothing was working. I was physically ill by the time I reached InnerBalance, with frequent seizures, low platelets and liver disease. I was in so much emotional pain and despair. InnerBalance gave me a lifeline. What made it so phenomenal, were the people who worked there, many of whom are still there today. There was an emphasis on nutrition and correcting imbalances in my body. I was allowed to go out at times to explore Loveland. That kind of normalcy and trust was meaningful. I was given support through group and individual therapy, as well as a nutritionist and life coach. The organic meals were very nourishing and the education around how to care for my mental and physical health were invaluable. They encouraged me to go to sober living after I left InnerBalance, which made a huge difference in maintaining my sobriety by giving my body and spirit more time to heal. I relapsed several times within that year, but because of the genuine support I had received from the counselors at InnerBalance, I did not continue in any of my relapses. I now have six and a half years of sobriety. InnerBalance gave me the support I needed to let go of what was holding me back from sobriety. I learned how to love myself in a way I never had before. It was just the beginning of my journey, but their program and everyone there, had a ripple effect that changed the way I approached early sobriety, and even the way I still approach my health. I hope anyone who is struggling with addiction finds their way to the wonderful people at InnerBalance.

My experience at Sandstone has been nothing short of transformative. From day one, the staff made me feel welcomed and supported throughout every step of my recovery journey. As a dual diagnosis facility, they truly excel at addressing the intersection of substance use and mental health — and the care I’ve received reflects that expertise.
