Pros: The staff were incredible. Young, but caring and truly excellent. They helped bring my child kindly and gently back from the brink. Both we and our child feel deep reverence for the staff and my child remembers their time there with the deepest appreciation. Cons: We did have a protracted billing issue with them. (Just resolved, a year after my kid wrapped.) He is an exceedingly talented clinical psychologist. Frankly, given his degree of talent, I am surprised he chooses to work with the rif raf his does (myself being one them). It’s not a cookie cutter program and felt very comfortable and welcomed. Since I left I’m still involved with the stuff they do in after care and alumni activities which are great ways to stay connected to a lot of people who truly are still putting in the work to stay sober and a lot of us have become close friends and hang out a few times a week. It’s not uptight like a lot of places which is very helpful in early recovery, the music aspect is great even if you don’t play any instruments, and the housing setup is great as well. The rules are pretty simple. No vaping inside (at the center) and you can’t have your phone during group lol pretty reasonable. Otherwise there’s still a sense of normalcy. Highly recommend to anyone who’s ready to make that 1st big step! I was a bit apprehensive at first and couldn’t be more grateful that I did it. I haven’t felt this good in 20 years!
