I owe everything in my amazing new (sober) life to Reprieve! I attended their 6 month residential treatment program and then stayed for 3 more months in sober living. I knew I needed to make a change in my behaviors, as well as take time to really learn about myself through in-depth therapy in an enclosed and safe environment. The Reprieve was the perfect place for me.The staff is the highlight for me - they each challenged and supported me in their own way. They were my biggest cheerleader and most patient confidant. They were in contact with my friends and family often. They set excellent examples of what it was like to be sober and have a wonderful and fulfilled life. I am still in touch with some of them today and I know they will always have my back.I appreciated the structured schedule of our days (groups, meals at consistent times, outings in the afternoons and meetings every evening). Groups like Life Skills, DBT Skills and going through the 12 steps gave me so many tools I didn t have before. I learned how to set boundaries, manage expectations, how to ask for what you want and be true to my own specific needs. Most importantly, I learned humility. I can acknowledge when I m wrong, I can recognize when I ve pushed my energy limit, and I m able to help another person who is struggling with no intention of personal gain. To this day, my goal is to be the best, most honest and authentic version of me, Laura. The Reprieve believed in me so I could ultimately believe in myself and I have profound gratitude for the people and teachings in their program

I recently has the privilege of having Dr. Beckman take care of some medical issues with my grandmother. She was fantastic and very patient with her, listened to her and ran some test on what she thought her problem could be. She found the problem and give her some meds to clear things up. My grandmother being a administrative RN over 30 years was very happy with Dr. Beckman and her bed-side manner and the way she explained what they would be doing. I m proud to have a hospital so close to my house that has a team of Doctors and nurses that we have that care about treating people and getting the better. The ER visit may be long or may be short just know if you have to wait the ER is probably packed and they are working as fast as they can to get to everyone. Winfield has a great group in the ER and With Dr. Hajjar on staff they can t be beat in this part of the country. I appreciated the care and time they took with my elderly grandparent.

I went to Bryce in 2002-2004 I hated the place when I was there I was sent there for extreme PTSD. However I had went to 30+ places similar this was the final place the staff was great and they helped me overcome a psychotic breakdown. In one of the reviews some one said they were the youngest there is a minor ward I was only 14 but I wasn't the youngest. Everyone hates places like this however I would have never came back to reality without them. My experience with this facility was it very clean, it's nice that you have your own rooms, the nurses and staff were also very friendly. However, for most of your stay here there is literally nothing to do except sleep in your room and watch tv in the group area :( And even all of the nurses agree that they don't really do anything to actually "help" most people, other than it being essentially a holding tank to help you detox. BUT, believe I did actually get some benefit during my stay. And, believe it or not, it was from having conversations with the other patients who were there during my stay. So, it COULD potentially help you in some capacity, but if you're looking for a place with an actual structured "program" or trained staff that will work with to help you figure out some solutions to whatever it is you may be struggling with, then I would find some place else.
