I was facing new and extreme insurance issues that prevented me from getting very important psychiatric medication that I've been on for years. Mountain Lakes went above and beyond. In a very scary time for me...)pay $700/mo for one rx which was unfeasible..or be checked into the hospital)... They picked me up and took me to my appts and worked with the insurance company for months until they got my medicine covered! I also felt I wasn't heard during my psych eval and felt I had an additional diagnosis. After a year of therapy and psychiatrist appts, they did amend my diagnosis..they listened to me and had evidence to back their diagnosis. They did right by me. Sarah Dettweiler is the psychiatrist I have been seeing and she's very good at what she does..she's calm and very nice..not intimidating and listens! Brenda..I had an episode at her when I was waiting for my medicine and this sweet lady was always very very nice. Also I had a few counselors I wasn't happy with and they switched me to Brittany...she's truly the best I've ever had. I feel my care is safe in their hands and I trust them!

I had an extremely abusive childhood. It takes a lot for me to learn to open up. I’d been hospitalized over 20 times in 3 years for hurting myself.
I never thought I’d be able to get even slightly better. I was told I was going to live in a facility for the mentally ill and disabled. But i have one last try here!
I’m harm free for over a year! I have job, car, and house. I’ve succeeded. Thanks to everyone here. And you can too. 💕

So much better since it’s been taken over the only issue I have is that I’ve gotten close to my counselor and everytime I have to tell my whole life story because they leave and they don’t say why but I know there’s a common cause. I’ve had four in the last 7 months and my most recent one just left.

The nursing staff and bhts are amazing. They make sure your comfortable and they help in every way they can. The facility is clean and well kept. They take your need for sobriety seriously. Most of the employees want your sobriety more then you do. They give tough love but are also compassionate. The food is amazing and I promise you will put on 10 to 20 pounds be4 to you leave. The classes are educational and intriguing. Recreational time is also fun and just for a couple hours you forget your in a rehab.

I wish more doctors embodied his commitment to challenging the misguided practice of patient-driven treatment decisions. If you're seeking validation for a self-diagnosis or unnecessary medication, this isn't the place for you. However, if genuine mental health support and tangible results are what you seek, Dr. Kavur is unparalleled. Personally, after enduring a futile cycle of ineffective medications elsewhere, I am optimistic that the expertise and dedication of Dr. Kavur and his team will soon guide me off this revolving medication merry-go-round.

I’m starting to think a lot of these reviews come from the mental clinic owned by wellstone. The actual wellstone in Cullman has very nice staff and ppl maybe some ppl are delusional asl and is just spreading hate. Just know you guys do amazing work!

Wellstone is not some eutopia were they have a magic want that can cure the issues that you have n I certainly cannot speak for other people's experience. I came to them in the throws of years of untreated mental health and severe drug addiction and while they offered no magic fix. What they gave me was love,support,belief and a path forward. I had to do the work but they gave me the tools that set me up for success. The leaders, counselor and staff have never done anything but support me. They work tireslessy at a job that is far from glamorous. If you are reading this and you face a crossroads of your life and you don't know we're to start. I recommend them with every ounce of my heart. The IOP program is so beautiful and it matters not what baggage you bring. You will be greeted with empathy and without Judgement. I love every therapist ,physician and peer support counselor that I have had. They never gave up on me n what they gave me litterally saved my life and had it not been for them. Doctor Feist is a brilliant man who still has his health and his mind well in to an age where most doctors of his age have already or at least are planning to retire. Birmingham Recovery Center provided a space for me to heal mentally, physically, and spiritually during this season in my life. Looking back at my time at BRC, I was met with 1 on 1 therapy, group processing, while being held accountable. I learned how to get honest and vulnerable with the help of the staff there. BRC played a pivotal role in helping me build a foundation for my life while healing from my past. So that I could move forward and live life on life’s terms. My whole life I've heard horror stories about the VA. The last 2.5 years we have lived with my dad to take care of him. I have nothing but great things to say about the Oxford VA and the nationwide VA pharmacy. They take great care of my dad and are VERY thorough with his care. The nurses treat him like gold and flirt with him, which he loves. They provide almost anything he needs: some of his prescriptions, a hospital bed, liquid thickener, oxygen tank, eye services, psychiatric services, etc. Any time I have had to call they have been sooooo polite and helpful. Same with the pharmacy. I forgot to re-order one of my dad's prescriptions and they got it to me by the NEXT day. The VA isn't perfect, but I feel like they really care about their veterans and their health.

I have nothing but good things to say about this VA Clinic location. The staff are friendly, helpful and service is always very professional and prompt. I enjoyed meeting Dr Coker today. He is friendly, kind and listens to what you have to say. I transferred my care here from that train wreck Rainbow City location. MUCH happier here!

I stopped a 20 year addiction to cocaine and alcohol in November, 2024. After my treatment I was released to Bradford Health Services for "intensive outpatient" classes. Allison Neal and Melissa Wisdom are 2 employees at this facility. I have to say that they show more care and gave more help to me, than anyone in my entire recovery. They truly blessed my walk. And if it wasn't for them, I would have relapsed a couple of times. They need their praise.
