I am pleased to give this 5-star review of MRC. I attended PHP and IOP, and had individual counseling twice a week. The counselors are excellent. They encourage a lot of participation in the groups. The topics are relevant to recovery- stress management, 12 steps, nutrition, body-mind connection, gratitude, and a lot more. Weekly yoga is offered and it doesn't matter what level you are. I was supported and cared for all the way through the process of outpatient recovery.

I signed up for outpatient treatment and the staff was very friendly very helpful and my therapistMr. Derek) a good dude, very understanding never looked down on me because of my alcohol and powdered cocaine addiction. Unfortunately, my addictions got the best of me and I relapsed and didn't return.I was so ashamed of myself I didn't want to show my face and went back to boozing and now thankfully I'm finally getting help that I need. I was admitted to Jefferson Hospital suffering from severe alcohol withdrawal syndrome, borderline experiencing auditory hallucinations. I was also suffering from gait abnormality and balance and coordination issues so they transferred me to Wyndmoor Hills for Physical therapy and once I'm discharged well before I'm discharged, I'll pick a rehab facility for inpatient treatment.Wish me luck.

They offer several levels of care to fit your needs, including partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and general outpatient treatment. Their intake assessments are customized so they can get to know you as an individual.
I had the pleasure of touring Blueview Recovery earlier this month and was extremely impressed with the facility. Their evidence based programs are tailored to the patient and encompass a variety of modalities that offer the patient comprehensive treatment for long term recovery. The counselors are highly qualified and compassionate, as are the administrative staff. In addition, I had the opportunity of touring their sober living men's house located a few miles from the facility. It is a beautiful contemporary home offering a comfortable and safe environment for the residents. I highly recommend Blueview for treatment!

I am deeply grateful for the support I received throughout my recovery journey at Pennsylvania Recovery Center. From the outset, the team demonstrated exceptional compassion, professionalism, and dedication. Their caring and nonjudgmental approach created a safe and supportive environment during one of the most challenging periods of my life. The staff consistently went above and beyond to ensure that I felt heard, understood, and supported. Their guidance was thoughtful and steady, and their unwavering belief in my ability to recover gave me the strength to persevere when I struggled to find hope on my own. The impact of their commitment and genuine care cannot be overstated. Through their support, I was able to regain stability, rebuild my confidence, and move forward with renewed purpose. I firmly believe that my experience there played a pivotal role in saving my life. I would highly recommend Pennsylvania Recovery Center to anyone seeking compassionate, dedicated, and highly professional support in their recovery journey. I want to give an extra thank you to Matt, Cameron, and Diana. Thank you for everything!!!

I used to volunteer services at Teen Challenge. In 2009 the cost for the entire year was 800.00. I would assume it has increased with inflation but the information stating a cost of $12,000 monthly is inaccurate. If you need help you should consider reaching out to Teen Challenge. Lives are transformed at and through Teen Challenge, do not let the inaccurate information about the cost deter you from getting help. Also, I believe they have ways of acquiring financial assistance if needed. If you have a problem and your tired of it and / or you have been to multiple rehabs, this one is different. Don’t go back to what you know doesn’t work. Heart transformation vs’ behavior modification. Anybody can change their behavior for external reasons, like they got fired from their job, fighting with spouse, ect. and they really believe that they’ve stopped., but two months after getting a new job and the coast is clear guess what creeps back out? When there’s a transformed heart, the desires are abolished, not tucked away for later. Hearts are transformed at Teen Challenge. In 2009 the program was12 months. You might think that’s a long time. If you do nothing 5 years will fly by and you will be where you are now, or worse off, or even dead. Make a move now and imagine the endless possibilities that can happen in five years. New friends, new career, new location, clear, productive mind. Don’t wait. Do it today. “Once a man is in Christ, he is a new creation, the old is gone, and the new has begun.” 2 cor 5:17

This was my first ever mental hospital back in November 2025. This place was actually pretty decent compared to the other ones that I have went to after this one. I forget the name of the unit I was in, but it was one of the boys and girls under 18 years old unit. The bathrooms are like a lot of the other mental hospitals I have been to with a shower, sink, and toilet. My roomate was also pretty chill most of the time too. The staff were pretty good too even though they did cuss whenever they wanted to, but I forget most of their names because it has been a few months. The food is actually pretty good from what I can remember. They also took us outside to play basketball and to the gym (which always kinda smelt weird/funky). They got me out in around 6-7 days (not trying to be funny), but therapist guy who did my family meetings looked like he hated his job. Besides all of that stuff, they have pretty decent activities and they also have good smart tv's so you can use streaming services (like Youtube, Disney Plus, and Netflix) if you have a login.

They applied some pressure on me and reminded me I wasn't going to be given up on and sometimes that's what we need. They helped me embrace some things I'd have never done on my own and continue to hold me accountable me while showing me an immense amount of support. If you can't handle being told what your real issues are, it probably isn't for you. If you can't handle being called out, it probably isn't for you. Staff there will give opportunity if you actually try and put out effort. It's some heavy stuff. Totally worth it.
